Job description

We are looking for volunteers to join our team of Together Network Champions! At Hestia we believe that our service users have lived experience and insights, talents and strengths which enrich our services. To be able to deliver and design services for people in crisis, it is a crucial that we involve those who we support. To have a voice, share their views, insights, and suggestions. This allows us as an organisation to provide a service which is continuously developing and transforming to meet people’s needs.

What you will be doing

  • Involvement in the planning and facilitation of activities, delivery of the service, recruitment and induction of new volunteers and colleagues in the service
  • Attend community meetings and provide opportunities to add to the agenda.
  • Support staff with confidence building workshops
  • Encourage and motivate service users to register as a volunteer
  • Attend external meetings, presentations and activities alongside the staff team
  • Take part in audits which assesses the physical environment of services
  • Share your experiences which can be included in tender submissions as part of added value and provide take part in tender and bid interviews
  • Promote the annual survey with other service users, gather feedback and share with the Together Network Team
  • Promote Hestia’s complaints process

The skills you need

  • Ability to provide a supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and participation
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
