VOLUNTEER KENNEL ASSISTANT URGENTLY NEEDED

Greyhound Rescue (Charity 702522) is a registered charity in Boston, Lincolnshire. We have been rescuing and rehoming ex-racing greyhounds and other animals for over 35 years. We care for a variety of animals on-site including greyhounds, sheep, horses and cats and rely on donations from the public to keep going. 

Our volunteer roles are sociable, rewarding and ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Please note that this is an UNPAID ROLE.

VOLUNTARY ROLE IN ANIMAL CARE

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and energetic Kennel Assistant/Animal Caretaker to join our team at Greyhound Rescue near Boston, Lincolnshire. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and experience around dogs. Your own transport would be a plus but is not a requirment as long as you can get yourself to the site reliably.

PRIORITY HOURS NEEDED ARE: 8am - 12pm Monday and Thursday; Weekends

Please let us know how much time you could commit per week as we are seeking volunteers from Monday to Friday as well as at weekends. Please note that our volunteers must be highly reliable as our animals are counting on you for their care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Feeding and watering the animals
• Cleaning the kennels, pens and stables
• Monitoring the health and wellbeing of the animals
• Exercising the dogs
• Ensuring good standards of safety and cleanliness are maintained

PLEASE NOTE that we have CCTV onsite for your safety
