About the Role

As a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant, you'll support our fundraising team to identify new ways of generating income and securing funding to sustain and develop our services for older people.

You'll help us explore opportunities with local businesses, corporate organisations, charitable trusts and grant-making bodies, researching potential supporters and identifying funding opportunities that align with our work.

Your contribution will help us reach new supporters, build lasting relationships and ensure we can continue providing vital services to older people across Lewisham and Southwark.

About You

No previous fundraising experience is necessary, just enthusiasm, initiative and a genuine passion for supporting a local charity and making a difference to the lives of older people. You'll enjoy research, have good communication skills, be confident using Microsoft Office, and have strong organisational skills and attention to detail. We're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, able to work independently as well as part of a team, and eager to learn and contribute their time and skills to support our work.

Time Commitment and Flexibility

We do ask for a minimum commitment of three months to allow you sufficient time to get involved, build your experience and make a meaningful contribution to our fundraising efforts.
