Job description
Warehouse assistant volunteers sort and pack food donations and ready orders for distribution to the people who need it.
What will I be doing?
- Manually packing food orders
- Sorting, labelling and repacking food donations
- Making sure food is within use by dates and handled safely
- Trained to safely use manual pallet truck. Forklift training available at some locations
What we need you to be:
- Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading
- Able to work well in a team and on your own
- Adaptable and flexible. Managing surplus food is unpredictable and tasks vary
- Positive, friendly and personable
- Work well in a team and on your own
- Follow health and safety policies & procedures.

Volunteers needed weekdays, 9am - 1pm and 1pm - 5pm
Vale Lane warehouse, Bristol, BS3 5RU:
Volunteers needed Monday 10am-1:30pm and 1:30pm - 4pm.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am - 1:30pm
