About Us
Exam Star Learner is an educational charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people, aged 5-18, achieve more in school and beyond. We offer one-to-one tutorials in English, Maths, Science (£5/hour), and French (£10/hour), supporting pupils to improve their grades and progress to further study, training, or employment. Our mission is driven by volunteer tutors who are committed to making a difference.
Who We’re Looking For
Urgent: Volunteer Maths Tutor Needed for Year 11 Student
We urgently need a dedicated volunteer Maths tutor to help a motivated Year 11 student catch up before their GCSE Maths exam on 15th May 2025. Due to personal circumstances, the student has missed significant school time and found their mock exam challenging. However, they are eager to improve and highly motivated.
Key Areas Needing Support:
- Division
- Proportion graphs
- Line of best fit
- Problem-solving
The student is studying for a Foundation Maths GCSE (AQA) and is predicted grades 4-7.
Details:
- Availability: Monday, Wednesday or Thursday | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (online)
- Resources: CGP books provided
- Mocks completed
