We’re looking for a kind, organised person to join us as our Board Secretary. This important role helps our charity stay organised and run smoothly so that we can keep helping families. As Board Secretary, you’ll support our board of directors by keeping track of meeting notes, planning our board calendar, and making sure we follow all the rules. If you’re great at organising, have a mature attitude, and at least 3 years of relevant experience, we’d love to have you on our team making a real difference!

Key Responsibilities

- Meeting Support: Help schedule and set up meetings for our board, including sending reminders to board members and preparing meeting notes.

- Take Notes: During meetings, take clear, easy-to-understand notes on what’s discussed and decided.

- Organise Documents: Keep all important board documents neat, organised, and ready for board members to access.

- Guide our Team: Ensure the board follows rules and procedures that help us support our community safely and effectively.

- Record-Keeping: Maintain up-to-date information, like board member contact details and meeting schedules.

Who We’re Looking For!!

- Experienced & Mature: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role and a mature approach to responsibilities.

- Organised: Naturally tidy and detail-oriented.

- Reliable: Dependable with a track record of attending meetings and completing tasks.

- Good Listener & Note-Taker: Able to listen well and take simple, clear notes.

- Friendly & Kind: Enjoys working in a team and cares about helping others.

- Passionate about Community: Committed to making Hackney a better place for children and families.

Time Commitment

- Flexible Hours: Remote.

- Meeting Attendance: Most meetings last around 1-2 hours.

Why Join Us?

- Make a Difference: Your help will directly support children and families in Hackney.

- Friendly Team: Work with a warm, caring team that’s passionate about helping others.

- Learn New Skills: Gain valuable experience in organising, note-taking, and understanding how a charity operates.
