Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is the national charity and membership association for limbless serving and ex-service men and women and their dependants.
We help all wounded servicemen and women who have lost limbs, the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.
We are looking for a Volunteer to help the Fundraising Team with office tasks. You will be providing practical, administrative and research support across the team. We’re a small and friendly team operating at a national level. Your work will help provide excellent donor care to our supporters, as well as assisting with the smooth running of our office and fundraising activities.
By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of volunteering for a charity and will contribute to our work supporting injured veterans and their families.

As a Cultural Reforesting Volunteer, you will play a vital role in the development and support of the service’s Cultural Reforesting programme.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Involvement in the development of the programme internally and externally
- Long term development opportunity of our Study Gallery through a curated display of collection works
- Support of our social media platforms and website support, including content creation, proofreading, ideas and development. We would like to explore ideas such as podcasting and short form video content

Training and Support
We will provide training and an induction which covers all aspects of the role. On-going support and supervision will be provided by staff throughout your time with us. We offer a tour of our exhibitions with the artist(s) or a member of staff prior to their opening. This will give you a first-hand insight into the concept, processes and artist’s vision behind the exhibition.

This role is primarily based remotely, although some activities and opportunities will take place at Orleans House Gallery or throughout the borough of Richmond.

Do I need any qualifications or prior experience?

The Elizabeth Casson Trust was established in 1948 to further the profession of occupational therapy and support the development of occupational therapists within the UK and beyond. We are looking to appoint three new trustees, including two occupational therapists and one lay trustee. To ensure our Board broadly represents the profession, we have a particular interest in recruiting OTs with experience in social care, learning disabilities, acute care, NHS/ICS and/or independent practice. For the third trustee, we are looking for an individual with finance experience and an understanding of investments. We are keen to ensure our Board is representative of the UK and interested in appointing people from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

About BBS UK
Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) is a rare, complex genetic disorder that causes blindness, learning disabilities, and obesity, along with other symptoms. BBS UK is the only UK charity dedicated to helping individuals with BBS and their loved ones. Our aim is to offer wraparound support to those impacted by BBS, to empower them to live the lives they choose, as valued members of society.
BBS UK provides advocacy services, NHS clinic support, up-to-date publications, and events that connect our community members and help them to navigate living with Bardet-Biedl syndrome. Through these projects, we aim to ensure that those who seek our help are supported, connected, and empowered to achieve the best possible outcome.
We have a team of eight dedicated part-time staff members who facilitate the delivery of these services, and volunteers who assist with our events. We support approximately 550 individuals with BBS each year.

About the role
BBS UK are looking for a new Chairperson to contribute to the development and success of our charity.
We are looking for an experienced, professional and compassionate Chairperson to lead our Board of Trustees, many of whom have lived experience of BBS.

Who we are
Solent Mind is the largest mental health charity in Hampshire, (£14m) and part of a network of over 100 Local Minds who tailor trusted mental health services to its communities. We give anyone with a mental health issue somewhere to turn to for support.
Who we are looking for
Solent Mind is looking for a new Chair to lead their Board of Trustees.
You will bring experience of successful senior leadership within a charitable, commercial or public sector organisation, with extensive experience in charity governance as a Chair or a Trustee of a medium/large-sized organisation and as Chair of a Baord committee.
An understanding and experience of the journey of growth of an organisation is essential, as Solent Mind seek to professionalise further and grow their presence in Hampshire.
Having indirect or direct experience of mental health is desirable along with a strong interest in mental health & wellbeing and the key issues in our local communities.
We seek a collaborative Chair, someone who is able to convene and lead a busy Board of Trustees, and build relationships both internally with the staff, and externally with key stakeholders. The ability to influence and act as an ambassador for Solent Mind will be key. Experience of fundraising in a charitable organisation would be most welcome in light of diminishing statutory funding.
Expertise and/or experience in supporting EDI improvement work is highly desirable to assist Solent Mind to progress this important priority.

Time commitment
c.3-4 days per month.
There are 6 evening, in-person Board meetings at the Head Office and 4 virtual Committee meetings per annual schedule, plus regular calls with the Chief Executive.
