Job description

We’re looking for visionary individuals to join our Board of Trustees, shaping the future of COT. In 2025, one of these exceptional individuals will take on the role of Chair, guiding our strategic vision with wisdom and compassion.

We are a well-established charitable organisation dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities in achieving their aspirations for how they wish to live, learn and work. We achieve this through our range of accommodation, personal development and training academy including our farm which is open to members of the public.

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and governance of our charity. As a member of the Board, you will work closely with our senior management team to make informed decisions, provide guidance, and contribute to the overall development and success of the charity. Your expertise, commitment, and passion will help us continue to deliver impactful services for adults with learning disabilities.

Whilst not essential, we are particularly interested in people with a background in the following areas and those who may be considering taking on a chair role in the future:

- Legal Expertise

- Strategic Innovation

- Inquisitive Leadership

- Financial Professionals

- Risk Oversight

- Sector Knowledge
