Job description

The role in a nutshell:

As a People Development Research Volunteer you would work with our Learning, Development, and Wellbeing team to research, identify, propose, and make recommendations for wellbeing, learning and development (L&D) projects as directed by the team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with an interest and passion for wellbeing and L&D. Combining research and analytical skills with an interest in all aspect’s wellbeing and L&D. You would contribute towards the health, well-being and on-going learning and development needs of colleagues across the Age UK network whilst gaining valuable experience and contributing to a meaningful cause.

What will you be doing?

In this role you would work closely with the Wellbeing and Learning and Development team to understand the objectives and requirements for each project, use briefs to research and make recommendations on a variety of wellbeing and L&D plans and initiatives; collate evidence-based wellbeing reviews and reports and quarterly wellbeing and mental health newsletters. Create engaging, informative written and visual wellbeing resources for internal use; as well as research, identify and present what other organisations do in the wellbeing and mental health space and help apply to Age UK if applicable.

You would be given contact information of team colleagues to discuss tasks and objectives, and appropriate training to enable you to fulfil the role effectively. We will reimburse agreed volunteer expenses (terms and conditions apply).

What skills, interests or experience might be helpful in this role?

You will show excellent communication skills and effective collaboration with team members, external partners, and internal colleagues. Additionally, you should possess the capability to research and identify relevant and up to date sources and resources, while delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail within agreed deadlines
