1st Place is a Family Hub & provider of Early Years Education in the London Borough of Southwark. 

What will you be doing?

The Boards current priorities in relation HR is that we ensure 1st Place is the best place to work, with a focus on wellbeing and opportunities for training, development and progression for all staff. We want to retain good levels of staff retention and recruit staff who are able to provide the best experiences for all those who use our services. 

We seek at a Chair for our Human Resources sub-committee. You will have HR management experience, and knowledge of the charitable sector would be an advantage.

What are we looking for?

A substantial background as a senior HR professional, with proven track record of success at an operational and strategic level.

A thorough understanding of HR policy and practice

Experience of performance management, HR/employment law issues and implementing them contextually

What difference will you make?

As Chair of our Human Resources sub-committee you will support the Senior Management team and wider Board to develop the 1st Place HR strategy for the next three years. You will Chair the sub-committee meetings, and report back to the wider Board on key areas of focus.
