As part of an exciting programme of expansion, we are opening a new development in Blaby, Leicestershire comprising of 15, 1-bedroom flats, generous office / communal space and landscaped courtyard garden. The scheme will offer Housing Management Support to individuals who have mental health diagnosis
Based at the scheme 30 hours per week, the Housing Officer will play a key role from the outset, ensuring that the service offers a friendly and mutually supportive environment that successfully integrates within the wider community and gives resident the best possible opportunity to maintain their tenancy.

More About the Role
As a Housing Officer, you will:
- Supervise and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accommodation, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Provide housing related advice and an intensive housing management service to residents.
- Work with residents to manage their accommodation and tenancy.
- Complete all tasks and work as part of the team in accordance with NH&S organisational values:

If you have previous experience of housing management, including health and safety, and of working with vulnerable groups, then this role could be perfect for you! We are looking for committed individuals who are driven by a desire to make real difference to the lives of adults living within our supported accommodation settings.
You will need:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to earn and maintain the trust of residents, and staff from other organisations
- A warm, empathic and non judgemental approach
A qualification in housing would be advantageous, but full training will be given.

Hours of work will be 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About the Role
The Development Administrator is a permanent hybrid role with a salary c£25,550. You will play a vital administrative role, supporting the team in a wide range of activities including assisting with detailed prospect research, excellent donor stewardship, and providing essential logistical and administrative support. You will also take a lead coordinating our CRM database (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring accurate fundraising recording and reporting, and supporting the wider team in its use.
What are we looking for?
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and attention to detail.
- Great interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
- Capable and confident IT skills, including with databases.
- Strong administrative, time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to be flexible and adapt in a dynamic fundraising environment.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Previous experience within a fundraising role or with CRM databases an advantage but not essential.

What will I be doing?
Develop strategic, two-way, face to face relationships with new and existing supporters to build the portfolio of donors making philanthropic gifts of £10k - £100k+
Utilise our More Research, Less Cancer campaign collateral and engagement programme, combined with your creativity and interpersonal skills, to cultivate, ask and steward philanthropic individuals.
Invite and host donors at appropriate high value and philanthropy events; often working with the events team to create tailored events or group engagement opportunities.
Present CRUK's work to donors in a format that is appropriate for their motivations, scientific literacy and gift capacity; develop a strong working knowledge of the campaign priorities and scientific work of CRUK and engage expert colleagues in the journey to help inspire support where beneficial.
Maximise potential support from each donor, for example as a senior volunteer; accessing their networks, expertise, or considering other avenues of support e.g. a gift in their Will
Contribute to the on-going implementation of the Leadership Giving level strategy to grow income from gifts between £10k-£1m; take up tasks and projects as needed, spot opportunities and connect with internal stakeholders across Philanthropy and beyond to drive success.
Ensure donor activity, KPI and financial information is accurate and up to date on the database, to aid monthly performance monitoring and forecasting.
What are you looking for?
You don't have to have experience in philanthropy or the not-for-profit sector. Cancer affects us all, and we are keen to have representation and insight from a range of different backgrounds. However, you will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience of delivering income through securing new business in a commercial sales environment, including having met or exceeded KPIs and financial targets over a sustained period.
Proven experience of building effective long-term relationships with individual stakeholders to deliver planned goals and income
Excellent stakeholder management skills; the ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with a wide range of individuals including internal colleagues, institutional leaders, scientists and donors.

Cancer Research UKs Drug Discovery team are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Scientist to bring scientific excellence and expertise to the design, prosecution and analysis of biochemical assays including bespoke mechanistic data and High Throughput Screening activities.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Scientist to take on a leading role through drug discovery and capability build projects, working closely with academic PIs and Alliance partners. This could be your chance to contribute to defining our future HTS strategy and to validate and embed processes using our new automated robotics screening system. The Mechanistic Pharmacology team is a multidisciplinary group comprising biochemists, enzymologists, biophysicists, cell pharmacologists, sample management and HTS specialists so there is plenty of opportunity for learning, cross training and development. About CRUK Drug Discovery
As the world's biggest medical research charity, we have helped bring eleven new cancer drugs to market. However, there is still an urgent need to bring more effective treatments to patients faster.
We have recently developed a new approach to driving therapeutic innovation through the creation of (CRH). We have brought together Cancer Research UK's established drug discovery teams under one organisation and leadership team, combining our unique pipeline of world class biology, cutting edge technology platforms and clinical expertise to 1) bring new treatments to patients faster and 2) tackle the biggest challenges in discovering cancer drugs by seeking out more radical ideas and embracing risk in our bid to achieve success.
What will I be doing?
Our new strategy sets out to bring deeper mechanistic understanding at the molecular and cellular level to all stages of projects, from Idea to pre-clinical candidate.
This laboratory-based role is focussed on designing and developing physiologically relevant biochemical assays in 384 well and 1536 well plate format to characterise cancer targets in detail at the molecular level, enable high-throughput screening, profile the structure-activity and structure-kinetic relationships of small molecules, and characterise their mechanism of action to inform dose prediction and clinical efficacy.
The successful candidate will drive innovative ways of working through keeping abreast of cutting-edge biochemistry, enzymology and HTS science. They will form an integral part of the Cancer Research Horizon Drug Discovery team working alongside our industry and academic partners to progress novel cancer targets towards patient benefit.
What skills will I need?
We are seeking an accomplished scientific expert with the following skills and experience:
A BSs, MSc or PhD in biological science such as biochemistry or pharmacology; relevant experience may be substituted for education
Significant experience in a drug discovery environment of assay development including dissecting enzyme and small molecule inhibitor mechanisms for a range of target classes
Detailed theoretical and practical understanding of biochemical assays and detection technologies, with a particular focus on physiologically relevant systems
Significant experience in liquid handling and automated dispensing
Significant experience of analysing large datasets with appropriate statistical rigour
Experience of running biochemical and cell-based high throughput screens of small molecules in 384well and 1536 well plate format is. desirable
Additional experience in prosecution and robust statistical analysis of high throughput screening data would be desirable.

BACKGROUND
Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the international Habitat for Humanity network. We address housing poverty worldwide by partnering with communities and families to help them achieve their dreams of safe, decent housing.
Purpose of The role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Outreach Coordinator to join our growing, dynamic team. This role will support the development of a community hub attached to our charity retail “ReStore” in Romford—the first of its kind in the UK. Globally, over 1,000 ReStores operate with the mission of upcycling unwanted home materials to support low-income households and promote a circular economy.
Beyond being a retail space, our ReStore aims to become a community hub offering additional targeted activities and services to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. Our pilot programme will focus on supporting women recovering from domestic abuse or trafficking. These women will access free essential goods from the store, and benefit from workshops and courses such as upholstery, upcycling, art therapy, employability, confidence-building, and practical life skills.
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to design and maintain all community outreach activities. The Community Outreach Coordinator will represent Habitat GB, working with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that increase the community hub’s visibility and impact.
This position will:
· Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with collaborative partners in the housing support sector.
· Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing an annual budget for community outreach activities.

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing The Brain Tumour Charity brand, devising new, and building on strong existing awareness campaigns and leading on capacity and marketing planning for integrated campaigns across The Charity.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll play a key role in supporting the HR team to deliver effective day-to-day operations that provide top-quality HR services to IFES staff worldwide.
With mutual support, prayer and on-the-job training, you’ll have the opportunity to take your HR experience to the next level. You’ll be given a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment, development and well-being of staff, while also fulfilling the role of Safeguarding Officer. And, since the position is still evolving, you can be instrumental in shaping it.
- Salary: £31,500 - £36,750 per annum, with generous pension scheme contribution.

You have a warm and professional demeanour, with the ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues. You’re pastorally sensitive and able to work well with people who live and work in diverse contexts.
With a university degree (or equivalent), you’ll ideally have professional qualifications in HR and/or safeguarding. You should have a strong understanding of HR policies and practice from your HR experience, which has preferably been in a cross-cultural context in the charitable sector.
You’ll have what it takes to calmly drive work forwards with a positive, flexible, and solution-focused approach. You’re computer literate with excellent verbal skills, ideally with experience in HR software (e.g. BambooHR) and proficiency in English, French, and Spanish.
You’re excited about the IFES mission, and you’ll be prepared to occasionally travel in the UK and overseas to support it.

Fauna & Flora’s Scotland team is actively working to develop ways to offer further in-depth support to the community groups we work with to address the barriers that they identify and are looking to build our input in the terrestrial sphere, including taking part in conversations around rapidly developing nature finance mechanisms, and increasing our stakeholder network. This is an exciting stage for the team, as we further develop aspirations around land-based community conservation, as well as support the Coastal Communities Network (CCN) on their journey towards independence as a community-governed network.
This internship is a valuable learning opportunity for someone with an interest in community-led conservation in Scotland. You will work across the Scotland team, engaging with colleagues within the wider Eurasia regional programme and relevant cross-cutting teams, as well as locally-based partners and contacts. You will gain knowledge of the current conservation context in Scotland, increase your understanding of project development within small teams, build your networks and support the planning and running of workshops and events. More specifically, you will play a key supporting role in the development of our work in Scotland through: desk-based research on community-led conservation, updating stakeholder mapping, network research, supporting key meetings, and a review of Scotland’s national and international nature obligations. There is also the opportunity to support the organisation and delivery of the CCN annual gathering in October 2024 and planned community workshops later in the year, as well as to engage in national policy consultations.
Note that this internship has been designed to create a professional development opportunity for people who are new to the conservation sector. Therefore, applicants should have less than two years paid or unpaid experience in the conservation sector (not including academic work).

This is an exciting time to join our Development, Alumni & Campaigns Office, and we wish to appoint an individual who shares our passion for the future of UEA. The Development Officer (Trusts & Foundations) will join a small, dedicated team responsible for securing income from charitable trusts, foundations and grant making bodies in the UK and internationally in support of agreed University priorities, including Health-UEA Climate-UEA and various campus projects.
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) you will apply for and manage grants whilst also managing the research of new funding opportunities for the team.
Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant qualification or experience, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; and an aptitude for face-to-face fundraising. Full training will be provided in fundraising/managing of relationships with volunteers and supporters.
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.
