We are currently seeking a highly motivated, confident individual with excellent organisational skills to take on maternity cover for the role of head of marketing, advertising and events.
Reporting to the executive director, you will be responsible for the sale of advertising space on our website, through email blasts to our mailing lists, via our weekly emails and within our quarterly print publication. You will also be responsible for the line management of event support, while managing our event programme which consists of up to 19 digital and in-person events per year. You will also be responsible for line management of the subscriptions manager, overseeing concurrent marketing projects, targeting key subscription areas, and ensuring a high level of renewals amongst our subscribers. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to represent Alliance at external events both in the UK and abroad.
The successful candidate will have strong, persuasive oral and written communication skills, enjoy working in a small team, and have excellent organisation and time-management. The candidate will be a willing participant in all APT discussions and play an active part in driving the organisation forward.

- Lead responsibility for the marketing strategy to grow the circulation of Alliance

· Educated to degree level or equivalent career experience.

Overall purpose

You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

This is an exciting opportunity to direct our grant awarding as Programmes Director, 37.5 hours per week, based in Cornwall and able to work from CCF’s office at least two days a week. The CCF office is currently in Lawhitton but our move to Bodmin is planned for October 2024.
Salary: £39,000-£43,000 per annum depending on experience
The Programmes Director is a key role within Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) and is responsible for leading the development and management of CCF’s grant making programmes and measuring our impact.

The Bell Foundation is a UK-based charity focused on changing lives and overcoming exclusion through language education. Established in 2012, the Foundation works with children and adults who use English as an Additional Language (EAL). Its key programmes aim to improve educational outcomes for learners facing language barriers, support educators, and influence policy and practice to create a more inclusive society.
The Foundation collaborates with schools, policymakers, partners and other organisations to provide training, resources, and research.
About the role
This senior management position is key to driving and implementing the strategy for The Bell Foundation’s ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)Programme, overseeing the programme team and the budget.
You’ll lead on implementing the ESOL Programme and partnership strategies while collaborating closely with the Head of Training and Resources on the EALProgramme.
You’ll work with a dedicated team, including the Director, Communications staff, the Strategic Education Advisor, and external experts, to support the Foundation’s external policy and influencing work.
Who we are looking for.
We are looking for a dynamic, confident and credible individual who can ‘hit the ground running’ and lead the ESOL Programme into the future.
As an established leader, you will have the communication skills to engage with stakeholders and develop new partnerships at a senior level and the management skills to lead a small, highly skilled team of staff and external consultants.
We welcome applications from candidates with programme experience from a range of backgrounds. Prior experience of ESOL is not essential. What is more important is that you bring significant experience in achieving strategic change and impact through partnerships and programmes at all levels and have a deep connection to the Bell Foundation’s vision, mission, and values.

Candidates must be collaborative leaders with proven experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary fundraising teams and in transformation and change. They will also have experience in influencing policy and decision making (governance) at a range of levels, as will be a strong networker and public speaker used to driving networking opportunities that evidence outcomes and impact.
