About the Trust
The Trust, registered charity 292860, works to advance the ‘Wilton Park educational purpose’. The Trust is formed from a small bequest by Wilton Park’s founder, Sir Heinz Koeppler, but has the ability to receive additional external funds. Wilton Park has since 1946 evolved from a ‘re-education camp’ to a leading international policy forum operating around the world discussing development, international security, economics and a sustainable future.
In recent years, the Trust’s main project has been the sponsorship and writing of a major history of Wilton Park’s discussions (forthcoming in 2025 by a leading publisher) which has been edited by the retiring chair. In the future, more emphasis will be placed on fundraising efforts.
