Role Purpose
The Fundraising Trustee will support the Board and Senior Leadership Team in driving fundraising strategies to secure sustainable income, build key partnerships, and ensure delivery of the organisation's objectives. This role will contribute to expanding our income streams, fostering donor relationships, and strengthening EFF's financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance and Strategic oversight
- Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring alignment with the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan and fundraising goals.
- Provide governance oversight as part of the Board of Trustees, ensuring fundraising activities comply with regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices.
- Support EFF in achieving its financial targets and diversifying income streams, reducing reliance on grant funding.
2. Fundraising Strategy and Development
- Advise on and oversee the implementation of EFF's fundraising strategy, focusing on:
- Corporate Partnerships: Develop relationships with businesses for financial and in-kind support.
- Donor Engagement: Identify opportunities to secure major donors and philanthropic supporters.
- Grant Funding: Support applications for project-based grants, ensuring alignment with funder priorities.
- Earned Income: Assist in promoting paid training and consultancy services for schools and councils.
- Mentoring: Providing mentoring and advice to the CEO and senior leadership team on fundraising applications and fundraising activities.
- Use personal networks to identify and cultivate new funding opportunities.
- Provide guidance on donor stewardship, ensuring long-term relationships are maintained and grown.
3. Advocacy and Ambassadorship
- Act as an ambassador for EFF, representing its vision and impact to prospective donors, corporate partners, and funders.
- Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in fundraising meetings and events, helping to articulate a compelling case for support.
- Champion fundraising priorities at Board meetings, offering challenge, advice, and support.

You will work closely with our dedicated staff to ensure the organisation operates effectively, efficiently and economically, with a culture that is positive, and focused on the needs of those it serves.

The Berkshire MS Therapy Centre (BMSTC) supports people with MS and their families, friends and carers. We provide a range of specialist therapies and a friendly, inclusive community. Although our modern purpose-built centre is situated in Berkshire, we also welcome people living in adjoining counties and offer online services.
Role
We are seeking a Fundraising specialist to bring their skills and expertise to our Board of Trustees.
To support our MS community, the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre currently needs to raise
£650,000 every year to provide our current level of services. After launching our charity strategy in 2023, we have ambitions for the future and we need to grow our income to fulfil these plans.
To support our charity strategy, we have launched a fundraising strategy and a communications strategy. Recognising the importance of growing income, we have recently invested in fundraising.
You will play a vital role as you use your direct experience of fundraising to support our fundraising team and strengthen our Board’s expertise.
As a member of the Trustee board, you will also be involved in setting the charity's strategic direction and ensuring that it is run in a compliant and efficient manner. It is expected that trustees will attend the majority of monthly meetings and the annual AGM either in person or online.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fundraising strategy.
- Assess the risks and threats currently facing fundraising and highlight these to the Board.
- Understand the ‘Best Practices’ of Fundraising and ensure they are followed at the charity.

Your role:

The Role of Trustee at The Access Foundation
The trustees of the Access Foundation are responsible under the charity’s governing document for controlling the administration and management of the charity, known collectively as the Board of Trustees. The Board is responsible for the direction of The Foundation and ensures it is solvent, well run and delivers on our charitable objectives.
As a trustee to the Foundation, you’ll attend:

Two regular online weekly meetings to review grant applications and to ensure the operational management of the Foundation, totalling about 2.5 hours

An all-day team meeting in person (every 2 months, usually in London) to progress the above, as well as progressing strategy

Completing actions as agreed in the meetings above.
The total time commitment is expected to be at least 6 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities
The Trustees of the Access Foundation:

Ensure the Foundation achieves its charitable objects as defined in the Articles of Association, by establishing a clear vision, a set of values and strategy, and ensuring that there is a common understanding of these by trustees, staff and associated personnel.

Ensure that operational plans and budgets support the vision and strategy of the Foundation and uses its resources exclusively to pursue our charitable objectives.

Ensure that the views of stakeholders are regularly sought and considered and there is regular review of the external environment for changes that might affect the organisation (political, financial, demographic, competitive, partnerships, alliances).

Ensure that the organisation complies with the Articles of Association, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.

Ensure the financial stability of the organisation, protect and manage the assets of the organisation (financial or otherwise) and ensure the proper investment of its funds.

Ensure the Foundation acts in accordance with employment law and exercises a duty of care to its employees.

Ensure a well thought through risk management process is in place and give serious consideration to procuring external professional advice on any matter that presents a material risk to the charity that is beyond the established risk management process, or where the trustees could be perceived to be in breach of their duties.

The Pelvic Radiation Disease Association (PRDA) is looking for a Chair of Trustees to provide strategic leadership for the charity, working in partnership with our Operations Manager and supported by a committed team of Trustees.
Who we are
Pelvic Radiation Disease (PRD) is a long-term side-effect (‘late effect’) of pelvic radiotherapy treatment affecting an estimated 100,000 people in the UK. People affected by PRD often have a complex set of symptoms affecting the bowel, bladder, sexual function or other functions for many years after radiotherapy, sometimes only appearing several years after radiotherapy treatment
PRDA is a small UK charity whose objectives are to see that the effects of PRD are minimised, that people affected by PRD are given the best possible care and treatment, and that PRD is accepted as a serious problem and given the attention it deserves.
Duties of the Chair
In addition to the duties of a Trustee, the Chair will:
- Provide strategic leadership to the charity and the Board, ensuring that PRDA achieves its mission.
- Work in partnership with the Operations Manager and team to achieve our mission.
- Lead the board in ensuring that it fulfils its responsibilities for the governance of the organisation.
- Optimise the relationship between the board and PRDA’s staff and volunteers.
- Plan and chair the board meetings and the AGM, with others as appropriate.
- Act as a spokesperson and figurehead for PRDA.

Trustees are our most senior leaders. They set our strategic direction, make sure we’re using our resources effectively and ensure we’re having the greatest possible impact in the communities in which we work. Trustees are expected to undertake duties in a manner that reflects GSP’s values and ethos.
We are particularly looking for Trustees with skills and experience in one of the following areas:
· clinical in suicide prevention and mental health
· academic in suicide prevention and mental health
· frontline support both online/digital and face to face
· fundraising and/or someone who sits across marketing, comms and fundraising
· business development and networking
· charity experience, ideally a CEO or former CEO who has grown a local charity into a national charity

To promote humane behaviour towards reptiles and amphibians by
providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for reptiles
which need care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor

All Trustees of The Sussex Reptile Centre are required to:
· Ensure that the organisation pursues its stated charitable objects as defined in the Governing Document, establishing a clear vision, set of values and strategy and ensuring that there is a common understanding of these by trustees, staff and associated personnel.
· Ensure that operational plans and budgets support the vision and strategy.
· Ensure that the Charity complies with the Governing Document and any relevant legislation and/or regulations. Such legislation includes:
-Animal Welfare act 2006
-Charities Act 2011
In addition to this, the trustees shall ensure that collaboration with the local authority is sought to obtain any appropriate licensing required under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 including any future changes requiring specific licensing for animal rescue centres.
· Support and provide advice on The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre ’s purpose, vision, goals and activities.
· Approve operational strategies and policies and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
· Oversee The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.
· Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
· Ensure that key risks are being identified, monitored and controlled effectively.
· Review and approve The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s financial statements.
· Provide support and challenge to The Sussex Reptile Rescue’s CEO in the exercise of their delegated authority and affairs.
· Keep abreast of changes in The Sussex Reptile Rescue operating environment.
· Contribute to regular reviews of [charity name]’s own governance. Attend Board meetings, adequately prepared to contribute to discussions.

The Role
The role of a trustee at DeafReach is to provide governance, leadership, and strategic direction for the charity.
