This is an exciting opportunity to join our Diocesan staff team as we seek to live out our commitment to racial justice, from someone who shares this commitment and is passionate about equality and inclusion.
You will be able to put your experience of adult education and learning into practice, by supporting the implementation of the Diocesan Strategy (Anti Racism Charter) through the establishment of a racial justice training pathway and the creation of racial justice resources that can be accessed and utilised across the Diocese by Diocesan staff, parishes, and schools.
This will include:
- Evaluating our current Unconscious Bias training programme and implement the lessons learned.
- Delivering racial justice training to parishes and Diocesan staff, particularly Unconscious Bias training.
- Develop the “Train the Trainers” approach and support the training of parish leaders and diocesan staff in becoming racial justice training trainers
- Identify training and resources needs for a variety of stakeholders
- Research and identify new models to be incorporated into a training pathway including in the areas of theology, power, privilege and prejudice.
- Liaise with other Dioceses and the National Church to learn from and seek best practice for racial justice training content and delivery.
- Work with other members of the department to establish a coordinated training programme that offers both face-to-face training and eLearning.
- Develop and maintain an evaluation process for training, including the development of impact indicators.
- Review existing racial justice resources and produce/commission the development of new resources that can be used both locally and national, such as toolkits, cultural occasional offices guide, liturgical resources and school-aged resources for young people and leaders.
- Be an advocate for Racial Justice within Diocesan structures, identifying and promoting best practice regarding racial justice, diversity, and inclusion.

Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing.
Margery Park is a 3 bed Supported living service, for customers with learning disabilities and Autism and we are looking to build a staff team with an excellent value base to support the customer to build their new life and develop their skills as an independent person.
Support Workers will need to be flexible and shifts will require some mornings, afternoons/Evenings and weekends.
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.
What you'll do:
* Supporting the customer to undertake a full timetable of preferred activities including sport and leisure activities, attending community groups, visiting local amenities, and introducing them to new activities to expand their horizons and networks;
* Developing the customer's independent living skills and involving them in all aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and decorating;
* Enabling the customer to keep up with the important people in their life and to meet new people with shared interests;
* Supporting the customer to communicate their wants and needs, and communicating with them in a person-centred way;
* Supporting the customer to manage their anxieties and frustrations, using Positive Behaviour Support and Autism-specific approaches;
* Collating a range of behavioural data and essential paperwork to be analysed within our local management structure;
* May need driving the customer to activities using the customer's vehicle, in rotation with the wider team;
* Communicating with family members and a range of other key stakeholders including social work, psychology and commissioning teams;

Leadership and Engagement Coordinator
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week

About the Team:
The WaterAid Leadership and Engagement team is responsible for facilitating high levels of performance across WaterAid, through the development of integrated leadership, learning, engagement and internal communications strategies.
About the Role:
As our detail-oriented and problem-solving Leadership and Engagement Co-ordinator you will provide high quality co-ordination, administration and project support to the Leadership & Engagement Team.
In this role, you will:
- Co-ordinate logistics and provide administrative support for our learning, management and leadership programmes across WaterAid, including co-ordinating participant lists and invitations, logistical and travel administration, collation and production of materials, booking meetings, gathering and analysing evaluation data and other associated tasks.
- Provide administration of our learning management system (LMS), including managing users and all other LMS administration including setting up new starters and generating course completion reports.
- Provide administrative support for the pro bono coaching programme.
- Provide administrative support for psychometric assessments and 360-degree feedback including setting up assessments and managing responses.
- Monitor the Learning inbox and respond to and escalate queries as appropriate.
- Process invoices and expenses, ensuring complete and accessible records and reports on reasons for variances and provide cover for the Internal Communications and Engagement Officer.
- Provide contract management support ensuring compliance and best practice including the upload and registration of all Leadership and Engagement Team contracts on to WaterAid's contract register.
- Maintain Leadership and Learning pages on the global intranet.
- Support and update the global induction, keeping online resources up to date and supporting local People Teams with their local inductions. Project manage the global induction programme for senior leaders.
- Book, support and contribute to in person and virtual team meetings.
- Update & maintain learning resources and team files ensuring effective filing systems and GDPR compliance for the Leadership and Engagement Team through data cleansing and maintaining data security and integrity.
- Collaboratively work across the Leadership and Engagement Team, providing support and cross cover when necessary, including ensuring that all new team members are fully inducted and have access to and can use all relevant systems.
About You:
- Proven experience in providing excellent co-ordination and administration support to a team or an individual - including diary management and organisational skills.
- To be brilliantly organised and motivated by the desire to support others to be effective and efficient in their work.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills with the tenacity to problem solve.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

- Experience in learning and development administration.

- Experience or knowledge of the development sector.

As we move closer towards assisted dying legislation across the British Isles, this role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile, fast-paced campaign that will provide plenty of challenges and opportunities for personal development.
Using strong creative, communication and interpersonal skills, the Media and Campaigns Officer will play a crucial role in the delivery of our media strategy. They will work closely with the Senior Media and Campaigns Officer and wider Communications and Campaigns teams to ensure the press office runs smoothly and in concert with the organisation’s wider strategy.
This role includes delivering media objectives; managing, supporting and recruiting personal stories and patrons; monitoring and disseminating relevant media coverage; identifying reactive media opportunities; proactively securing media coverage; producing and distributing engaging press materials; and maintaining relationships with key journalists.
The role will also work across the campaign’s sister charity, Compassion in Dying. Both organisations share an aim of improving dying in the UK by putting people in charge of decisions about the end of their life. The charity’s profile and influence has grown hugely in recent years, with its wealth of expertise and thought leadership recognised across the end-of-life and wider healthcare sector.
Working closely with colleagues in the Information Line and Policy & Research teams, key responsibilities will include securing opportunities within the media to amplify the voices of dying people and those close to them; supporting those individuals to share their experiences; keeping abreast of relevant coverage within mainstream media and healthcare trade press; using the media to raise awareness of the importance of and ways to plan ahead for the end of life; and seeking media opportunities to share our research and insight, shift attitudes and push for the changes needed so that everyone can have a good death, whatever that means to them.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative, intuitive and creative individual with strong media-handling experience. We are seeking a team-player who is passionate about the values and mission of both organisations, enjoys working on a high-profile issue in a fast-paced work environment, and is seeking to become more actively involved in campaigning.
