Grants and Trusts Manager
We are seeking a Grants and Trusts Manager to join our Fundraising team and lead on gaining income from grant-making bodies.

Position: Grants and Trusts Manager
Location: Burnt Oak, London. This is a hybrid position, though for an exceptional candidate we may consider fully-remote
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum FTE (pro rata-ed depending on number of days a week the successful candidate contracts to)
Hours: Permanent, 4 days a week (32 hours, 0.8 FTE). Hours worked are flexible and certainly you are not tied to “9-5”. We will also consider applications from someone wishing to work 3 days a week (24 hours, 0.6 FTE)

About the role:
A part of the Fundraising team, as Grants and Trusts Manager you will lead on gaining income from grant-making bodies. You will line manage the Grants and Trusts Officer, and will need to develop strong relationships with the Delivery team, so you can match their funding needs to the right funder and get the right information from them to ensure a high quality of reporting.
Other key responsibilities will include:
· Overseeing a pipeline of grants and trusts applications, re-applications and reporting
· Working closely with the Delivery team to ensure the right bids are being submitted
· Working with the Impact and Insight Officer to shape monitoring and evaluation strategy and practice
· Leading tours and face-to-face and online meetings with Foundation staff and Trustees
· Working within the broader Fundraising team, supporting colleagues and department-wide projects
About you:
To be successful in the role of Grants and Trusts Manager you will have experience of trust and grant bid writing within a professional setting.
You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
· Produce compelling asks and proposals in line with the charity's objectives and the funders requirements
· Experience of gathering, understanding and presenting complex information and data
· Experience of working within a charity fundraising environment
· Experience of cultivating relationships with funders, both via verbal and written methods of communication
· Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own time and achieve strict / multiple deadlines
· High level of IT competence, excellent internet research skills and database management
· Motivated to improve young people’s lives for the better

The role of a Community Fundraising Executive is raising charitable donations, by building meaningful and engaging relationships to work with the communities we serve in the West Midlands. About the Role
The organisation delivers a range of targeted youth programmes for children and young people who benefit from more intensive support, to reach their goals including mental-health and emotional wellbeing support, careers and enterprise initiatives, youth voice and social action opportunities; and programmes addressing serious youth violence and exploitation.
We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Manager to oversee the fundraising of all restricted income. Restricted income makes up 70% of the overall income stream, and enables the charity to deliver core youth work activities as well as targeted programmes such as employability, health improvement and social prescribing, detached youth work and more, with over 50 funded contracts per year.
Key duties include:
- Manage a pipeline of restricted income
- Propose, cost and write trusts and grants applications that typically span from £5,000 to £100,000
- Support the Director of Fundraising to complete applications for unrestricted funding
- Keep up to date with local and national funding opportunities
- Chair the bi-weekly trusts and grants meetings
- Work closely with the Director of Youth Services to mobilise successful bids
- Support during the preparation of financial audits
This role will include both line management and hands on grant application and stewarding of commissioners.

About the Role
There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to grow our Fundraising team to the next level.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team to deliver Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be strengthening our existing funding pipeline through prospects research and managing the donor database. We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, corporate donors or high-net worth individuals. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent writer with experience in drafting grant applications and reports. They will also be interested in advancing their fundraising career in a collaborative team, with coaching and personal development at its heart.
As Senior Fundraising Officer, you will work flexibly across all our income streams, securing grants and stewarding relationships with trusts and foundations, corporate partners, statutory agencies, and high-net worth individuals. You will bring excellent research and writing skills in relation to the highest standard of application and report writing, as well as ensuring outstanding stewardship of our established portfolio of funders.
You will develop strong relationships internally to facilitate a collaborative approach to fundraising, working closely with our team of Business Partnership Managers, who coordinate 'Ready for Work' activities with our corporate partners and their foundations, as well as developing funding applications and reports alongside our delivery and impact teams and our young people.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with healthy pressure within a supportive team culture and will be able to maintain a high level of productivity, pace and resilience in what is a challenging funding environment. About the Role

You will lead on the small trusts programme as well as work closely with the Trusts Fundraising Manager to secure larger trusts.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Partnerships and Philanthropy team.
About You
You must have had experience in writing detailed applications and although experience in a Charity setting is desirable, this is not essential. You will have had experience in creating engaging content for a donor audience as well as have had experience researching,
This role is a hybrid role with one day a week required to work in the Charities Head Office in Aldgate, London.

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.
The postholder will seek to secure critical support for budget-relieving activity taking place across the Gallery, including learning and engagement and exhibitions, as well as support for acquisitions, special projects, and capital works. They will make a significant contribution to ensuring exemplary relationships with grant-makers and their representatives, and actively cultivate prospects to increase support for the Gallery.
The Fundraising Manager, Grants will work with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising and support ongoing stewardship of funder relationships.
The postholder will also support the Gallery’s ambition to grow legacy giving as part of the wider team objectives.
Key Experience, Skills and Criteria:
Essential
- Proven track record of soliciting donations from Trusts and Foundations, and statutory funders.
- Experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders and excellent relationship management skills.
- High level of proficiency working with standard business software including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of CRM databases such as Tessitura.
Desirable
- Experience of working within an arts/heritage environment.
- Experience of working on/knowledge of an acquisition campaign and/or National Lottery Heritage Fund application.
Skills
- Excellent written skills, with the capacity to produce clear and accurate documentation.
- Ability to craft compelling cases for support and to communicate effectively through face-to face meetings and written proposals
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of work.
- An ability to plan and manage own workload, adapting to changing conditions when necessary.
- An interest in and commitment to the long-term success and development of the Gallery.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
- Demonstrates passion and approaches work in a positive, enthusiastic way.
