You'll sit within our Philanthropy team, working on charitable trusts and foundations who generally give up to £30,000, working with a portfolio of approximately 75 active trusts and foundations. You'll research, identify and drive forward new income opportunities, maintaining relationship with existing donors and ensure our supporters have an excellent experience.
You'll deliver high quality, written application and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You'll match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach.

Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils. The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding. More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.
You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School. Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians. Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.
You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures. Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success. The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility. This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground. You will need to be proactive, enterprising and systematic in approaching funders, and be able to engage and manage internal stakeholders.
This is a permanent position, working 9.00am until 5.30pm 4 or 5 days per week. Some flexibility will be required to attend evening and weekend concerts and events at YMS and in London.

The Role
As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range. The person
You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

As an Individual Giving Fundraiser, you’ll work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life-time value of existing supporters

The role
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for managing retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.
- Experience of monitoring and reporting of results and other financial data.
- Experience of working with data for fundraising purposes, either in using a database to select and segment data or of producing briefs to do so.
- Work with the Senior Individual Giving Fundraisers to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

About Woman's Trust
The charity, established almost thirty years ago to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.04m and 41 staff in 2023/24. You will be joining the Woman’s Trust Fundraising team as we work towards our strategy 2022-2027, to double our income and the number of women we support each year. We are focused on developing innovative mental health services for young women and girls, launching peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. Summary
Livingstone Tanzania Trust (LTT) was set up in 2007. Our vision is to live in a world where every young person has access to a quality education. To achieve this, we focus on infrastructure and resource programmes, developing teachers’ competencies and addressing issues surrounding household poverty.

In addition, as a charity, we aim to support our partners in Tanzania to reduce their dependence on us, which we achieve by building their skills to stand on their own feet. This requires us to share our knowledge and provide mentoring services as our partners grow
Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:
- Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
- Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year
- Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
- Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.
- Other related duties as required.
Key Requirements
- Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education
- Understanding and respectful of cultural differences.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a grant fundraising role, with a successful track record of regularly securing 4 and 5 figure grants.
- Knowledge of funding databases and other sources of potential funders.
- Ability to absorb, collate and organise large amounts of information from different sources/channels.
- Ability to select and distil programme information to develop a core message for target funders, aligned to their specific interests.
- Persuasive writing skills – weaving powerful stories with clear evidence of programme impacts.

Through maximising income from trusts and foundations and achieving Kew’s fundraising targets, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will enable Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to realise its goal to help end the extinction crisis and contribute to a world where nature is protected, valued by all, and managed sustainably.
This is a fantastic opportunity to actively participate in the implementation of the Trusts and Foundations strategy, helping to maintain and grow our income. The postholder will produce high-quality proposals, effectively steward existing donors, and establish and develop relationships with new funders to Kew. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Development and Kew to deliver a world class fundraising function. This is an especially exciting time to join Kew’s fundraising team as we have recently begun the silent phase of a major comprehensive fundraising campaign which will build upon the Breathing Planet Campaign which raised £102.4m.
About You
An excellent writer with the ability to develop persuasive proposals, you will be responsible for making funding applications to trusts and foundations and providing funding impact reports as required. You will be an experienced fundraiser with a strong understanding of effective trust fundraising techniques, sound analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail with experience of achieving financial targets. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and effective relationships with funders and colleagues. About the role:
We are looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to secure new corporate partnerships to help fund the growth of our care services, and to build relationships with companies to help them achieve their CSR goals.
