What the job involves
This is an exciting new role within our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. The Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Manager will be leading strategic content and public affairs within Prostate Cancer UK.
You’ll drive all our major campaigns and the development of the multiyear messaging narrative, all while directing and collaborating with a diverse and talented team of specialists. Your work within strategic communications and campaigns will inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
Working closely with the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand you’ll outline and develop our narrative to our audience and communities, ensuring our campaigns are integrated across the Communications directorate and the wider organisation. You’ll manage the strategic content and public affairs teams as the key point of contact of our external public affairs agency.

The Role

As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. About you

- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.

About the role

Essential

· Professional level French and English.
· Skilled at identifying and mitigating risks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Project Assistant to support INQUEST’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Unlocking the INQUEST archive: memorialising death and resistance. This project encourages engagement with the INQUEST archive and memorialises state-related death and resistance through creative outputs including: 12-month consultation, artist’s residency, banner making, small scale events, archival research, film screenings and a podcast series.
Organised, motivated by logistics, system-orientated, able to react efficiently to pressure, change and multitasking, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications skills necessary to liaising with a varied audience, including bereaved families and other key project stakeholders. They will be experienced in handling telephone calls, email correspondence, administration systems, and key IT software packages. You might be running an online peer support session one afternoon, taking children and young people out bowling in the school holidays, running a Family Fun Day at our Life Without Limits Centre or taking part in our residential visits twice a year. Multi-award-winning Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal works in partnership with Aardman Animations to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the region’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We’re looking for an individual who has previous experience in project management and organising and delivering high-profile events, to help execute our fourth character sculpture arts trail. Gromit Unleashed 3 follows three trailblazing and award-winning public art trails from Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, in partnership with Aardman, that have generated over £20 million to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with The Grand Appeal’s Senior Leadership Team to deliver key elements of the trail, including leading the installation and de-installation of the sculptures, artist liaison, managing the hugely popular public exhibition and providing high-level support for the highly anticipated auction. The candidate will be extremely organised with exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills and will ensure every aspect of the project is planned effectively and runs smoothly.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment or return to their current role after a period of ill health. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment-focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams (CMHRS), Early Intervention Into Psychosis (EIIP) Teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Youth Engagement worker, to join our Somewhere For Us Service team. The role of the service is to ensure that children and young people feel supported on their grief journey. The service is co-designed with our Youth Advisory Group. The support is provided through a range of group and 1-1 supports, including Understanding Your Child’s Bereavement online sessions for parents, group support and activities for children and young people and 1-1 support, grief ally/buddy etc.
Workshops are delivered in the community to individuals and groups who work with children and young people, to help increase their skills and knowledge on how to effectively support children and young people going through a bereavement.
The Somewhere For Us Service supports bereaved children and young people aged 8 – 25. It is funded to June 2027, through the National Lottery Community Fund Empowering Young People funding stream.
There are 2 posts, each for 32 hours per week, one based in our Foyle office and one in Belfast office.
