Purpose
The work of the Association is managed through our committees and working groups. The purpose of the role is to ensure good governance through supporting the chair of each committee to plan their meetings including creating agendas and notetaking for their meetings.
You may also work with other functions within the Association including publications and operations to support specific projects and tasks that help ensure we meet the needs of our members.
What you will be doing:

Support all committees and working groups which includes working with chairs and other relevant members of staff to set meeting dates, agree agendas, collate and circulate papers and write meeting notes and actions.

Build a relationship with committee and working group chairs and ensure they are using a consistent approach to their meetings including recording any declaration of interests, identifying and advertising vacancies and using a committee work plan to track their work.

Support any face-to-face meetings by setting up the room and managing catering for the meeting

Ensure all committees have up to date terms of reference and role descriptions for the Chairs

Ensure new Chairs and committee members receive the appropriate inductions
-
Responsible for the process of updating the CRM, website and any other relevant notifications for any changes of committee’s members

Support the Operations Manager with tasks including checking expense claims and invoices and setting up of payments

As we are a small staff team you will also be asked to support other team members with tasks outside of this job role from time to time.

Accountable to the CiC Chair and a member of the Board and Executive Team, this role will lead our fantastic Delivery Team and create the environment and culture required to support consistent delivery of client expectations and positive impact for the communities we serve.

Specific duties:
Strategy
• Work with the Board to successfully deliver the CiC future ambitions and 5-Year Roadmap. Specifically, lead the 5-Year Financial Plan; the Organisational Development Plan – including the 12-month Operational Plan; and the 5-Year People Plan
• Ensure organisational readiness to ensure TMS can respond positively and at pace to new opportunities
• Lead the development and implementation of the TMS 5-Year Financial Plan to support delivery of the 5-Year Roadmap
• Support the Business Development Officer (BDO) to deploy effective horizon scanning and networking to keep abreast of relevant international, national and local opportunities that provides opportunities for business development and community impact.
Governance
- Lead oversight of project delivery and responsibility for flagging matters for escalation as appropriate to the Board
- Lead operational management and administration of TMS within the frameworks established by the Board
- Ensure the Board are kept fully updated and advised in line with the 5-Year Roadmap. Specifically, lead the 5-Year Financial Plan; the Organisational Development Plan – including the 12-month Operational Plan; and the 5-Year People Plan
- Lead development, implementation and adherence of TMS policies and procedures and ensure they are regularly reviewed against current best practice
- Ensure that TMS meets all of its obligations as a CiC with all regulatory and compliance bodies
- Implement, manage and develop the TMS Operational and Delivery Governance framework on behalf of the Board
- Co-ordinate monthly reporting and provision of performance data to support delivery of the TMS Operational and Delivery Governance framework
- Work closely with the TMS Finance partners and management team to formulate budgets and forecasts
- Keep the Board appraised of the financial performance and position of TMS, monitor against budgets/forecasts and take any necessary corrective action
- Ensure that all major risks to which TMS is exposed are regularly reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate these
- Management of the day to day running of contracting.
People, Leadership and Management
- Lead the recruitment, education, training and development plan supporting the TMS CiC Team
- Provide leadership that promotes and establishes the CiC values: Collaborative Partnership Working; Continuous Learning & Improvement; Recognising Difference & Equality; Maximising Contribution of Outputs for the Community
- Directly manage, support and motivate staff through the provision of regular supervision and appraisal
- Take active responsibility for your personal learning and development, and promote and support a learning culture across the organization
- Lead the development and implementation of the 5-Year People Plan, including the training and development plan, to support delivery of the 5-Year Plan
- Lead the development and delivery of the internal communication, education and engagement plan and related audit activities
- Lead the development and implementation of the TMS performance management and appraisal processes.
Business Development
• Support the BDO by providing operational components and delivery requirements for inclusion within new business contracts
• Support the BDO to plan and deliver the new business proposals.
Partnerships & Community Impact
· Develop a clear understanding of the TMS community and the role of TMS in developing activities which deliver its social purpose
· Support the BDO to maintain and develop strong relationships with members of the TMS community in order to identify opportunities for delivering community impact.
Quality
• Ensure that all TMS services are delivered to a high standard, and to identify, recommend and implement measures to improve the quality of services
• Ensure the organisation continues to demonstrate good quality by compliance with the quality requirements of service agreements, and with existing quality marks and accreditations
• Ensure management of projects to meet stakeholder expectations with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Marketing, External Communication & PR
• Support the BDO to be an ambassador and spokesperson for TMS at events, meetings and other networking activities with key stakeholders in order to promote TMS.
• Support the BDO to maintain and develop effective networks with principal stakeholders and TMS collaborators within respective area of responsibilities outlined in the 5-Year Roadmap.

To help us achieve our mission, we are recruiting qualified social workers with direct experience of working with children and families, and knowledge and experience of supporting social work students. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the delivery of teaching across the year, support participants in their local authority hubs and supervise participants during the 2nd year of the programme.
Practice Tutors (PTs) work closely as a peer group to share effective ways of working across participant practice hubs, local authorities and regions. They play a key role within the development and delivery of our social work curriculum, contributing knowledge and expertise to create a culture that promotes outstanding social work education and enables teams to do their best work.
PTs are responsible for teaching and developing participants at the Readiness to Practice stage, regional teaching days and, in participant hubs within local authorities. PTs support four practice hubs, based within statutory children’s social care services. Each practice hub is led by a Consultant Social Worker (CSW). Core to the Practice Tutor role is the ability to provide support, challenge and guidance to participants and CSWs to ensure a high-quality practice learning experience.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Use social work knowledge, theory, practice skill and experience to develop and support participants to become outstanding social workers
- Support CSWs to lead the hubs, role model best social work practice and support effective practice educators
- Teaching for year one participants is during the Readiness for Practice stage both in person and online, attend face to face regional recall days and whole cohort online teaching.. There is also online teaching for our year 2 participants on the programme through large lectures, small seminars and one to one support as necessary

About the role
The role of the Project Officer - International Development (POID) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs. The POID will do this by engaging PBLS’s existing network of international NGOs, expanding this network by connecting with new international NGOs, and providing international development expertise to support and enhance the services and products within PBLS.
The POID will engage CSOs/NGOs globally to build partnerships and identify needs for pro bono legal assistance. This role is a core part of Pecan’s senior leadership team (SLT), working to develop strategic direction and playing a play a key role in the organisation’s aim to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged people in our community.
You will enable Pecan’s frontline team to deliver the highest possible standards of service. You will have responsibility for developing a strategy and vision for all community food activities and developments within Pecan. Main Responsibilities:
- Line manage and appraise staff in line with Pecan’s procedures: Foodbank Manager, Pantry Manager, Operations Manager, and the Development Manager Community Food Programmes.

- Develop and oversee food strategy for Pecan’s food services, implementing the vision to end the need for food banks, re‑imagining the food services offer and including a cash-first approach.

WorkWell is an exciting new government/DWP initiative to get people back to work. As well as providing work placement support, it will also address and support any physical or mental health needs via a Mental Health Provider and Physical Health Advisor who form part of the team. The pilot in Surrey will be going live in December and aims to empower people to take control of their health, wellbeing and any impacts this is having on their employment via referral to a WorkWell Coach. Working as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) and other community hubs, your challenge will be to provide a supportive environment that enables each individual to identify their health and wellbeing concerns and the impact these are having on their employment. The Role

You will have a passion for supporting students, have knowledge of how race and ethnicity shape students' experiences in education, be a quick learner who is comfortable navigating and understanding complex procedures and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge, skills and abilities will include:

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The People and Culture Advisor will be instrumental in delivering efficient, timely and effective HR support and advice to employees, managers and leadership throughout the company. The role will be crucial in ensuring consistent and effective application of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, thus having a positive contribution to a productive workplace.
General People & Culture Support:
· Acting as the primary point of contact for all IEU staff enquiries regarding policies, procedures, staff benefit, leave balances, and other general queries.
· Supporting implementation of key P&C projects and facilitating ongoing process improvements.
· Support employee engagement initiatives, including recurring surveys and engagement sessions.
· Recommending new approaches, processes and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the People & Culture department and services performed.
· Remaining abreast of changes to UK specific legislation and Employment Law and communicating relevant changes to UK based staff in a timely manner.
· Partnering with People & Culture Manager to deliver relevant training, ‘AMA’ sessions, and other initiatives as required.

· Supporting process and workflow development and data management within the Human Resources’ Information System as needed.

Employee Relations

· Managing casework including, but not limited to: disciplinaries, grievances, absence reviews, flexible working requests, conflict resolution, redundancies, departmental changes, occupational health queries, performance improvement plans, etc.
· Producing and maintaining casework documentation, including Terms of Reference, minutes, notices, and follow-up correspondence.
· Escalating complex and/or unusual casework to People & Culture Manager.
· Providing coaching for managers on employee relations issues as requested.
· Ensuring all company policies remain up to date, periodically reviewing policies in order to implement relevant changes.

· Maintain good working relations with all stakeholders, ensuring a discreet, diplomatic approach to Employee Relations issues as they arise.

· Managing all employee leave processes, including annual leave, sickness absence, maternity, paternity, adoption, TOIL, compassionate leave, etc.

· Conducting exit interviews, identifying patterns and communicating to management in an aggregate form
· Producing periodic reports surrounding volume and nature of casework.
Payroll
· Processing timely updates of the payroll system records, including new joiners, leavers, student loan and salary sacrifice information and all variable changes.
· Ensuring all associated processes have been carried out in line with the supplier agreement and in good time.
· Serving as a liaison between the third-party payroll provider, P&C and Finance functions
· Producing all payroll related documentation including LoE changes, pay increases, maternity leave letters, deduction letters and other change letters as required.
· Generating a monthly pension report and timely uploading to the pension provider portal.
· Addressing all employee payroll and pay related enquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.

The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. Working Hours
Our young people need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas with different shifts (8, 10 and 12 hours) from 8 am to 10 pm for day staff; and from 9 pm to 8.30 am for night staff.
On average, you will be working 40 hours a week, so meaning if you work 4 shifts of 10 hours each, you will then get 3 days off.
There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half same as bank holidays.
