About the role

We are looking for someone with experience in facilities and contract management, and the drive and desire to find solutions and complete projects to a high standard. You’ll need to be highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to multi task. You must be a compelling advocate for the work of the Trust.

This role manages the Trust’s office facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and support a positive working environment for staff and volunteers. The post holder will manage contracts, striving to secure competitive prices, support with IT alongside the Trust's IT service provider, and identify and coordinate improvements to the Trust buildings. This role also manages the Business Support Officer.

The Facilities Manager role is for a 10 month fixed-term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension. We would consider between 30-37.5 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days. Other options may be considered for the right candidate.

Our new Finance Manager will develop, oversee and operate good financial management across all our activities. As our lead finance-focused staff member, they will undertake a lot of hands-on work, but will also take part in high-level shared decision making and financial planning. They will manage one part-time (0.3 FTE) Finance Administrator and work closely with the Executive Officer and the Area Meeting Treasurer (a voluntary role). Job Summary

We expect this role to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, stakeholders, institutions and individuals. It will undertake work to secure funding, resources and partnerships for both Shared Assets and the wider land justice movement, and to raise the profile and reputation of Shared Assets.

The role will have responsibility for securing core funding for Shared Assets from trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals, and for supporting colleagues to secure grant and commercial funding for consultancy, research, movement building and communications projects. It will have responsibility for reporting on core grants and providing quality control for colleagues for their bids, tenders and funder reports. As part of this work the role will play a key part in providing intelligence and foresight to contribute to the organisation’s strategy and business planning. 

Beyond securing consistent core funding for Shared Assets the role will also work with funders and others to secure longer term resourcing of the wider land movement in order to deliver our collective ambitions for a just and sustainable land system. 

As part of a self managing organisation all team members are expected to contribute to the day to day management of the organisation through participation in management circles, team days and working groups.

Main Responsibilities

Fundraising and resourcing

• Develop and maintain relationships with funders to fund work that seeks to support common good land use and to create a more just and sustainable land system. 

• Work with the team to ensure we maintain a healthy pipeline of bids and tenders in order to meet income generation targets across the organisation. 

• Work with the wider land justice movement and funders to secure significant, consistent and long term resourcing for the wider land movement, working in ways that are open and transparent to, and inclusive of, the wider movement and which will help to deliver systemic change that meets our collective objectives for a more just and sustainable land system. 

Stakeholder relationships

• Develop and maintain relationships with key partner organisations in order to build an understanding of the wider context and system in which we are working in order to inform our strategic development and to identify opportunities for future partnership working. To understand where Shared Assets is valued and effective, and where it may need to adapt and change.

General

• Participate in the Funding & Finance circle, participate in relevant work groups and liaise with other circles where appropriate. 

• Contribute to communications and raise the profile of the organisation - in particular working closely with the Communications Coordinator on external messaging with respect to Shared Assets and the wider land movement.

• Provide reports and information for the board as required.

• Provide support to colleagues where needed, including in the running of events, training and other activities.

• Participate in and contribute to the development of Shared Assets as an organisation, including involvement in collective decision making, being accountable to policies, and helping improve those policies where relevant.

• Any other duties as may be required in a small organisation.

About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct
supervision and line management of a team of Support Workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.

As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Funded by London Borough of Waltham Forest, the project seeks to support the most vulnerable families in the borough, working closely in partnership with the Early Help team.

The role will be supporting families, mainly at local Children and Family Centres across the borough, in relation to stabilising their finances which will mainly involve debt and benefit issues and support with financial capability. 

The post holder will support clients to reduce and/or better manage personal debt and maximise benefit entitlement. They will deliver services in a variety of ways including one to one, drop in and by appointment at outreach in Waltham Forest. All channels will be utilised to deliver services and an assessment will be made of the level of support required including providing casework support.

Our dedicated team of Stock Transport Drivers support our retail shops every day to supply essential stock which is crucial to their success.  This allows our shops to raise much needed funds to deliver our mission, An Equal Future for disabled people and their families.

Permanent - full time, 35 hours a week

The role

As a Stock Transport Driver, you will be responsible for moving donations, including clothing for Scope Retail Area 18 across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

You will deliver a great customer experience to our donators when collecting or delivering donations. 

We will ask you to keep your vehicle and stock secure plus plan for routine maintenance and repairs.

About you

As a Scope Stock Transport Driver, you’ll need a full, clean driving licence with a willingness to undertake relevant training.

You’ll enjoy delivering great customer service and have a professional, courteous manner with the general public.

You must also be able to able to lift heavy and/or bulky items and happy to be trained in the use of lifting equipment for very heavy items.

You’ll enjoy being out and about working outdoors, in all weathers, travelling far and wide in your area.

About the role:

Post Title: Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner 

Location: The role will be located at St. Mary's Hospital in London, with occasional travel to Redthread's other sites, including the head office in London. Blackpool Crisis Support - Sycamore House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We provide a range of intervention support and are partnered with the NHS, working alongside the Home Treatment Team who offer clinical governance. Additionally, we offer a range of services for people with mental ill health to become more connected to their local community, building on their social engagement. We also signpost to local services and host awareness days that are truly reflective of the community we support to break down stigma and discrimination offering support 24/7 with a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. We have a rare opportunity to join our team in a key strategic and operational role as Programme Manager. Working as part of a Collaborative, Responsive, Enterprising, Playful and Reflective team (Our Values!), you will lead and develop our projects and programmes with young people and adults for the South London communities we serve.

We believe that music and media, delivered in a socially and culturally relevant way, have the power to positively change and shape people’s lives. Our purpose-built 3-story base in Brixton houses recording studios, a band rehearsal space, a production suite with top industry standard tech and software. Our work takes place mainly onsite with some community-based work in hospitals or at events.

This opportunity comes at a really exciting time for Raw Material. We are soon returning to our own building which by the end of 2024 will be refurbished via a £1.1m capital fundraising campaign to improve our operational capabilities and develop income generation opportunities and new facilities for the community, with a coworking offer and an increased hires and events programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead ASSIST Sheffield’s experienced and diverse volunteer teams and staff in delivering high-quality support to people who are experiencing destitution as a result of being refused asylum in the UK.  The post holder will join a small leadership team, collectively holding responsibility for the work of the organisation. 

You will be experienced in managing or delivering support and advocacy services. You will be committed to the wellbeing of people seeking sanctuary in the UK  and to the values of solidarity and respect which underpin ASSIST’s work. You will be confident in enabling volunteers to work effectively with skill and compassion. You will thrive on teamwork in a dynamic and challenging environment and will be ready to bring your skills to the leadership structures in a vibrant, learning organisation.  You quickly grasp the subtleties of complex issues and identify patterns in challenges. You don’t stop at diagnosing problems, though; you come up with insightful, pragmatic, equitable, and sustainable ways to produce positive change.

You will be an excellent communicator, committed to forging positive relationships with partners, and ready to hold responsibility confidently and transparently. 

And finally you put equity at the centre: You recognise ways that race and other identities intersect, especially with communities we serve. You identify potential for bias and actively work to minimise inequities in all areas of your work.

ASSIST Sheffield is a well-established charity which has supported people who have been made destitute following the refusal of their asylum claims for 21 years. With over 140 volunteers and a staff team of 12, this is a dynamic and challenging working environment.

1. Deliver person centred housing related support to clients that promotes their mental wellbeing and independence supporting them to progress to a life without the need for support. To work with clients in assessing their needs to create individual personal support and plans.

2. Ensure that anti-racism, equality and diversity are central to your work addressing disadvantage, inequalities, stigma and discrimination, making sure that you take action to reach people from marginalised or disadvantaged groups and that the services you provide match their needs.

3. To network effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote the needs of the clients. Working with clients so that they have the knowledge, understanding and skills to access services, support and to improve their mental wellbeing and resilience. To refer to other agencies where possible if they are not eligible for the service

4. To assist clients with benefits and housing and employment to increase income and opportunities to be suitably housed, keeping up to date with the Social Security system and housing legislation, ensuring that clients are referred for specialist advice where appropriate.

5. Focus on client involvement ensuring that clients have their views heard and that the needs and wishes of service users have an impact on the services they receive.

6. Work as part of the Housing and Tenancy Support (HATS) Team and the wider Newport staff team to develop and deliver activities that achieve positive outcomes for migrants in Newport.

7. Ensure all work is recorded and monitored and contribute to evaluating the service.

8. Work in accordance with best practice, legal requirements, the policies of Mind in Gwent, and the policies outlined by the funders.

9. Share models of good practice to aid in organisational development across Mind in Gwent.

10.  To contribute to the work of other projects and teams of Newport Mind as when required or directed to provide cover or to develop new skills or take on new opportunities.
