The Role

The Senior Inclusion Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have been affected by the Grenfell tragedy. You will work directly with families, schools, alternative provisions, and local services to identify and address individual needs, ensuring that inclusive education practices are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team, including an Inclusion Specialist and Family Practitioner.
• Oversee complex SEN cases, guiding families through assessments, referrals, and support plans.

About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022 - 2027 strategy. North Bristol Advice Centre (NBAC) is recruiting a Welfare Benefits Advice Caseworker to provide one-to-one advice support in communities.

This is a varied and exciting role leading our outreach work, working with partner organisations based in the heart of communities.  As a Welfare Benefits Advice Caseworker, you will provide specialist welfare benefits advice, based at our office in Lockleaze and outreach locations across North Bristol and South Gloucestershire. You’ll provide one-to-one support to address a range of issues from benefit checks and supporting with claims, to casework and providing representation at appeal tribunals, helping people to maximise their income and secure their legal entitlements.

The post holder will focus on delivery of the child, adolescent to parental violence and abuse programme which is incorporates an Non Violent Resistance approach.

Specialist Child to Parent Violence delivery:

· Advocate for the rights of children to be respected, heard and protected.

· Deliver sessions for parents using Non Violent Resistance (NVR) techniques and child and family members, applying a systematic family approach to managing violence and abuse in the home.

· Adhere to the relevant programme manuals for parents as well as for the children and young people.

· Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength based approaches to engage with families.

· Support parents and young people to learn skills and knowledge to deal with behaviour in a non-violenct way, using NVR and trauma informed CBT methods.

· Work closely with other statutory and voluntary professionals to ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person. Apply RISE’s escalation procedures.

· Be responsible and accountable for working with Team leader and/or Service Manager and Advanced practitioner to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.

As a Resilience Worker – Youth Justice Service, you’ll be working within an Integrated, Whole Family Recovery Service, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside our partners in the Youth Justice Service. You'll have an understanding of the Youth Justice System and experience of supporting young people within the context of substance use and the associated contextual and safeguarding issues that impact on the lives of young people, their families, and communities.

You’ll manage a caseload, offering assessments, care planning, 1:1 and group interventions, outreach, and community events for young people using alcohol or drugs in Hertfordshire. Strong engagement skills, partnership working, and a solid understanding of safeguarding are essential.

Where: County wide across Hertfordshire. The majority of your time will be spent in the community, engaging directly with children and young people and working with partners across the Youth Justice Service and other local stakeholders including housing, health and education.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer in our Facilities team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in plumbing, mechanical and electrical working in a palliative care/clinical environment.

The role will provide support to the team and carry out repairs to mechanical and plumbing services and equipment, e.g. replacement of filters in ventilation systems, check tensions of drive belts, record details of works, materials and time on a docket or our helpdesk system. The role will also support with programmed planned maintenance works to mechanical and plumbing services such as checking temperature of water taps and outlets, descaling showerheads, following prescribed instructions to defined standards, record actions and/or findings using a formal written report system and provide information to the Head of Facilities on replacement parts and spares to enable orders to be raised.

About you

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Either BTEC National Certificate (HNC Electronic Engineering). Or Completion of at least 4yr apprenticeship of Practical and Theoretical Training as an Electronic Technician or equivalent
• Good knowledge of plumbing materials sufficient to be able to maintain and discuss the maintenance needs of water systems i.e. pump and pipe sizes and their uses
• Good knowledge on health and Safety risk assessment and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Job Title: Operations Manager

Reporting to: LandWorks Project Director.

LandWorks is a national award-winning project. It is a pioneering rehabilitation and resettlement charity that provides a supported route back into employment and the community for people coming out of prison or at risk of going to prison.

LandWorks is a small organisation with a strong determination to get the best outcomes for its beneficiaries and ultimately influence change in the Criminal Justice System (CJS). The Operations Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team and will deputise in the Project Director’s absence.

This role might also suit someone currently in a position such as Head of Operations, Operations Director or Chief of Operations in a smaller organisation…They might already be working in the criminal justice or charity sector or have transferable experience in the public or private sectors

This role requires a belief in and commitment to LandWorks’ values. Alongside leadership and operational oversight, advocacy for the organisation's values and beneficiaries is vital.

The Operations Manager will be a real ‘people person’, playing a vital role in supporting and managing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining operational efficiency and developing the role.

Job description:

General Management:

· Deputise in the Project Director’s absence or as required.

· Support the Project Director (PD) and Project Co-ordinator to manage and organise daily operations with trainees to help support a trainee’s journey at LandWorks.

· Monitor and take the ‘temperature’ of the site as it operates.

· Occasional out-of-hours trainee phone calls.

· Lead morning team meetings and facilitate afternoon de-brief meetings two days a week, and in the PD's absence.

· Act as a core part of the Senior Leadership Team, to facilitate the smooth running of daily tea breaks and communal lunches, to ensure that all trainees, staff and visitors take part and feel included.

Staff Management:

· Direct line management of the LandWorks enterprise team (that includes the wood workshop, market garden and pottery)

· Oversee HR processes, including recruitment, induction, training, and performance appraisals of the whole LandWorks team. 

· Provide team motivation and promote professional development, including identifying training needs and setting team goals, across the whole LandWorks team.

Policy and Compliance:

· Manage and ensure on site adherence to organisational policies and procedures.

· Take responsibility as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Health and Safety lead and Data Protection Officer.

· Support and assist with the mandatory review of organisational polices in consultation with the Charity Manager and PD.

· Managing and responding to risk.

· Inform and gather evidence for the LandWorks External Issues log.

Operational management

· Enhance operational processes for efficiency and compliance.

· Evaluate trainee referral processes and partnerships for improvement.

· Support developing and delivery of graduate support.

Organisational Culture:

· Promote LandWorks’ ethos and positive organisational culture.

· Represent LandWorks at internal and external events.
