About the Role

You will use community development skills and knowledge to deliver training and support services and local organisations to enable effective delivery of Time Credits. Working alongside the central support function you will design and run local events and trips to ensure that Time Credits flows, providing opportunities for people to earn and encouragement for them to use Time Credits. You will manage relationships with key local stakeholders to ensure your projects meet contractual targets, enabling the network to flourish.

thrivin’ together is a UK women-only organisation led by lived experience of gambling. In this important role, you will manage our team to empower women by delivering responsive care, activities and support. The role will directly line manage our team through supervisions and fortnightly team meetings including the monitoring and reporting of progress and wellbeing. The role will ensure day to day administrative and operational processes are up to date and run smoothly.

The Project Manager will lead on our quarterly Advisory Board and Professional’s Network meetings and coordinate workshops and activities in collaboration with our team. The role will take responsibility as a Safeguarding Lead and will ensure policies are up to date with support from our Directors and Administrator.

Administration tasks, promoting the organisation and developing partnerships (within gambling recovery and beyond) are expectations of this role.

The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.

Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

The role is 35 hours per week and will have a base in Bury but expected to travel across the Bury area in community settings.

About the role:

This is an exciting and busy role with broad responsibilities across the programme and includes project management and administration.

Role Context and purpose

Following recent and projected growth of the organisation, Gaddum is looking to recruit additional resource within the Central team to bolster support; ensuring delivery of safe and high-quality services. Gaddum acts as an administrator for smaller trusts and charities, who do not have internal finance teams, and this role will act as the key point of contact for those trusts in delivering financial support. In addition to this, Gaddum also redistributes grant funding – this role is to act as the Finance lead for the financial management of the funding.

The post holder, line managed by the Finance and Resources Director, will join the finance team and work alongside another Finance Assistant responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable. This is a 28 hours per week role, working flexibly to suit the needs of the organisation and individual.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Trust Funds
• Key point of contact for trusts
• Administration of trust fund applications against agreed policies between Gaddum and the associated trusts
• Coordination and administration of trust meetings on behalf of the organisation and trusts
• Maintaining accurate, timely and relevant written and financial records, pertaining to the administration of the trust funds
• Respond to enquiries and requests by phone, email and in person as required
• To assist with collating and inputting of data, e.g. accounts for reporting periods
• To liaise with referring organisations, referrers and beneficiaries where necessary during the day-to-day administration of trust funds

Grant Funding
• Working with the existing Grant Coordinator in ensuring the regular invoicing of grant funding
• Accurate and timely processing and payment of this funding to organisations within the region
• Maintaining accurate financial information for statutory reporting
• Finance contact for all grant related enquiries

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• To support the Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable & Receivable) in periods of absence
• To meet regularly with Finance & Resources Director for supervisions
• Undertake additional duties within competence of post holds as required by the Finance & Resources Director

About the role

Working at a strategic level, you will have overall responsibility for identifying and securing the income streams to support the activity of this newly formed organisation (merger of 3 local Citizens Advice offices), working the Chief Executive and other members of the management team. You will actively monitor the advice landscape and stay informed about industry innovations and emerging trends, proactively identifying opportunities to integrate relevant advancements into the organisation.

You will also be responsible for the line management of the Fundraising Officer, Communications Officer and the Research and Campaigns Coordinator.

Role Responsibilities:

• With the CEO, design a sustainable funding model and a diverse project portfolio for CAOX that guards against over reliance on a single funder or work type.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities that generate income and are aligned with the organisational and strategic aims.
• Create a standardised fee structure for core services to ensure consistency and transparency when preparing bids and proposals
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure the work scope aligns with contract value.
• Manage multiple bids and innovation projects, prioritising effectively and demonstrating financial efficiency.
• Supported by the Fundraising Officer, lead on identifying and writing compelling and persuasive funding bids.
• Ensure a strong funding pipeline is maintained by tracking and planning fundraising activities, applications and forecasted income.

Demonstrable experience and achievements:

• A successful track record in business development and identifying new funding opportunities to achieve significant impact, meet user needs and maintain standards.
• Strong leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a passionate and committed team, at all levels of the organisation, to perform to the best of their abilities
• Experience of building positive and productive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Understanding of the voluntary sector, knowledge of the strategic and policy environment in which the advice sector operates.
• Understanding of fundraising regulations

Inclusion Specialist

We are looking for an Inclusion Specialist (term time + 3 weeks only) to join a team providing specialist support and interventions for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) impacted by the Grenfell tragedy.

Position: Inclusion Specialist

Salary: £51,429 - £58,140 per annum (£48,857 – £55,233 actual/pro-rata)

Hours: Full Time (36 hours per week)

The Role

The Inclusion Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people affected by the Grenfell tragedy. Working within the Education Hub and local schools, you will help enhance learning experiences, provide tailored interventions, and ensure inclusive practices for children with SEN.

You will:

• Deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions, including after-school programs and small group teaching sessions tailored to specific learning needs.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments to support the development of tailored learning plans.
• Work closely with families, schools, and community partners to provide holistic support for children with SEN.
• Act as a liaison between families and schools to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting children.
• Provide trauma-informed guidance to families, teachers, and school staff, focusing on emotional regulation and academic success.
• Support teachers in implementing inclusive strategies and differentiated instruction within the classroom.
• Facilitate restorative conversations between schools and families to strengthen relationships.
• Deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for school staff on SEN best practices.
• Create and distribute accessible learning resources and tools to support inclusive education.
• Regularly review pupil progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant SEN qualification or substantial experience in SEN support across multiple key stages.

• Experience working with children across different key stages and supporting children with SEN.
• An understanding of trauma informed and restorative practice alongside a willingness to learn more.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with families and understanding diverse cultural contexts.
• Familiarity with relevant education legislation and policies, including the Education Act 2002, Children and Families Act 2014, Equality Act 2010, and Keeping Children Safe in Education (2023).
• Ability to track pupil progress, implement data-driven interventions, and develop inclusive education policies.
• Commitment to professional development and safeguarding responsibilities.

About the Organisation

The Grenfell Education Hub will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children, young people, their families, and local schools.

Following a consultation process in 2023 and 2024, the hub will bring together a team of professionals, including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Coordinator, and a Family Support Worker. Their time will be split between direct work with children and families in the hub and supporting local schools.

The hub’s objectives are to:

• Provide high-quality educational support to as many children and young people as possible.
• Build the skills and confidence of children, families, and education staff in local schools.
• Develop strong relationships with those most affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
• Accurately assess its impact.

Sutton Community Works (SCW) is a Christian charity in South London. Sutton Foodbank is one of our faith in action projects and we are looking for a dedicated manager to oversee the smooth delivery of this amazing project supported by almost 100 volunteers!

Our vision is for our faith in action projects to contribute to a safe and flourishing community in Sutton.

Our work focuses on areas including food poverty, young people, rough sleepers and homelessness. In all our work, our ethos is to love God and others in all we do and say, ensuring people feel seen, heard, understood, and helped.

Sutton Foodbank has been helping people in food crisis since 2009, and supported nearly 4000 adults and children in 2024. We are open 5 times per week across 4 different venues and people are referred to by referral partners across the borough. Details of our sessions can be found on Sutton Foobank website.

Sessions are run by our dedicated volunteers who come from local churches; and our dependable warehouse, restocking and transport volunteers always ensure food gets safely to where it is needed.

People visiting the foodbank come from a vast variety of backgrounds but all have faced difficult life experiences. Beyond food, we also want people to access support to improve their situation, so we commision Citizens Advice to come to the foodbank sessions to help people maximise their income and provide advice on topics such as housing, debt and benefits.

And as a Christian project we underpin everything with prayer, and actively offer prayer to our clients too. The genuine care and compassion from our volunteers helps to build trusting relationships so we can more effectively listen, pray and signpost people to other support. 

As our Foodbank Manager, you can use your leadership experience, excellent communication and organisational skills and Christian faith in a way that makes a real difference in people's lives.

Salary: £32,000 per annum (plus 5% pension commencing from successful completion of probation period).

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm. Occasional weekend or evening working required, depending on the needs of the Foodbank and of SCW.

Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, including bank holidays

Location: Work is expected to take place in a mixture of locations within London Borough of Sutton, including the office (Highfield Hall, 320 Carshalton Road, SM5 3QB), Foodbank venues and Big Yellow Storage (Kimpton Park Way, Sutton, SM3 9QS). There is also likely to be some travel across the borough. Other time may be worked from home, pending agreement with the Operations Manager.

Occupational Requirement: This role involves offering and participating in Christian prayer with members of the public and volunteers, leading devotions and group prayers, and providing pastoral care and faith-based leadership to Christian staff and volunteers. It is therefore an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a practicing Christian.

Role purpose is to:

• Manage smooth and safe day-to-day delivery of Sutton Foodbank, supporting volunteers and clients and ensuring food stock is sufficient and managed safely (65%)
• Maintain and increase capacity of the service coordinating food drive activity, maintaining excellent relationships with food donors, volunteers and other external organisations, and assisting with onboarding new volunteers (25%)
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Sutton Foodbank, by delivering operational activity which aims to decrease people’s need to return to the Foodbank (10%)
• Keep Christ central to activities in the Foodbank (always)
