We are looking for a dynamic new Hall Manager to be responsible for the successful management, maintenance and daily running of our parish centre: St Mary Abbots Centre, Vicarage Gate, London, W8 4HN. This role would be ideal for someone with events experience as there is a lot of diary management: booking and building relationships with theatre companies, weekly children’s groups, local community organisations, school parents, the occasional reception for a wedding or baptism and more!

The centre consists of a permanent ballet school and car park, a theatre, long room, 2 kitchens, parish offices, several cloakrooms and a garden at the back, which all need to be managed and maintained.  The income from the hall supports the work and mission of St Mary Abbots, a large and lively church in Kensington, with close links to parish school and community. We are looking for a candidate to maintain the commercial success of the rental spaces while also enabling church events and community and charity groups at the centre.

The ideal candidate would be both self-motivated and a team player, organised, willing to work flexible hours, with good communication and diary management skills, physically fit and proactive. They should have an appreciation and understanding of the Church of England and be willing to support and develop the work carried out by St Mary Abbots.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tessitura Database Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head of Tessitura Development on managing and maintaining the Tessitura database, ensuring data integrity, and providing support for data-related tasks. This role involves working closely with various departments to support their data needs and improve overall data management processes.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience working with Tessitura.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database management.

About the role:

Birmingham Hippodrome has been entertaining audiences for over 125 years. The Finance Team is crucial to stewarding financial resources, meeting regulatory requirements, providing transactional services and delivering a range of reporting to enable the organisation in deliver its strategic aims.

The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the Finance Team to provide compliant and effective finance services including transactional processing, financial accounting, financial planning and control, initiatives to improve financial performance and delivery of management information which supports strategic and tactical decision making. The post holder will work particularly closely with the Financial Controller and Chief Operating Officer to plan and deliver co-ordinated activity which provides excellent support for the organisation.

Purpose of the role

The Production Manager plays a key role in delivering all aspects of the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations on time and within budget.
The role works closely with the Head of Technical, Production and Building services, Senior Producer, and Events team in scheduling, and delivering all technical and production services for all events and activities across their programme.
The Production Manager engages directly with creative teams, event clients, production companies and others, and leads their teams to use their expertise collaboratively and creatively to advise, support and deliver all technical and production services.

Responsibilities

PRODUCTION

• Efficient and quality realisation of all their productions, Co-Productions, visiting productions and events on time and within agreed budgets
• Collaborate with directors, creative artists and colleagues across the creative process to deliver their artistic vision, and ensure this positive collaborative culture is embedded across all production departments
• Lead their production team to deliver high quality production values across the range of the theatre’s work
• Work closely with creative teams to realise their vision and designs, on time and in budget, maximising the use of their resources to ensure high production standards are always upheld
• Ensure designers are briefed on in-house creative options, budgets, staffing, licensing and health and safety requirements
• Schedule and chair all relevant production and design meetings
• Oversee an accurate costing process to ensure all shows can be delivered on budget, using the time and personnel available
• Produce production schedules and manage the production period from fit up to press night
• Ensure attendance across fit up, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, previews and press night, and that production notes sessions are run, and notes actioned in a timely fashion
• Ensure show risk assessments are produced prior to the start of technical rehearsals and updated as needed

VISITING COMPANIES & EVENTS

• To oversee the liaison between visiting companies and production departments over the provision of all technical services and facilities required.

• In conjunction with the Head of Technical, Production and Building Services to liaise with visiting companies to ensure the presentation of Visiting Companies work is of the highest technical quality.

CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT

• To production manage the performance elements of the creative engagement programme.
• To ensure the participation of production staff in all appropriate engagement activities

MANAGEMENT

• With the Head of Technical, Production and Building Services, line management of the production team including recruitment, appraisals, performance management and professional development in accordance with their policies
• Ensure design and creative deadlines are met for in-house Productions and Co-Productions and that the Creative teams are aware of these deadlines at the start of the Design process.

This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a dynamic and successful NHS charity which makes a difference to the lives of patients and staff at our hospitals every day.  As Head of Charity you will be at the forefront of our fundraising efforts, driving campaigns, appeals and activities, as well as ensuring that we demonstrate the benefits of fundraising to NHS patients and staff.

At the Royal Devon Hospitals Charity, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of NHS patients and staff through impactful fundraising and community engagement. Our charity shops, vibrant community events, and strong local support are just the beginning. Your responsibilities will include:

•  Leading fundraising campaigns - launch and manage compelling appeals, including our current Super Theatre appeal, that inspire and engage donors.

•  Organizing memorable events - create and oversee events that bring people together to have fun, foster a sense of community and raise money for causes, close to people’s hearts.

•  Building community awareness - ensure that our community understands the Charity’s mission, what it is here to do and how to get involved.

•  Acting as an ambassador – act as an ambassador for the Charity with potential donors, grant organisations, public, patients and staff.

•  Strategic planning - think strategically to align the Charity’s resources with the priorities of the NHS Trust, supporting Trustees in making long- term and effective investment decisions.

The team covers Northern Devon and Exeter and Eastern Devon, offering a diverse and supportive environment where you work will directly benefit patients and staff, improving their experiences and outcomes.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday
