We are looking for a dynamic and experienced systems manager to support, manage and improve systems within our rapidly evolving charity.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing in-house systems support and systems administration for platforms and systems used by nurtureuk’s team, with a particular focus on Salesforce, working alongside external developers and outsourced IT support. You’ll also be responsible for providing key support on information security.
Nurtureuk is a charity that has been working with schools for many years to improve the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing (SEMH) of children and young people. We help schools remove barriers to learning by promoting nurture in education.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Acting as asset owner of nurtureuk’s internal systems

Providing internal administration and development of Salesforce CRM

Leading discovery and development projects to improve nurtureuk’s internal systems

Managing external developers and support contracts related to systems

Supporting administration of an information security management system to maintain ISO27001 accreditation

NEA’s Energy Advisers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups. They also get involved in a range of tasks to support these activities. Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed
Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others. Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.
You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The successful candidate will operate within Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands or Eastern region of England. Home working and office-based locations are available depending on your proximity to a NEA office. Preferences will be discussed with candidates at interview. Hybrid working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.
We are offering:

Garden Court North Chambers invites applications for the role of Communications Manager. The applicant will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a communications and/ or marketing role ideally within the legal profession or with relevant experience in the NGO, international organisation, development or charity sector.

Job Description
The Communications Manager will work under the direction of the Head of Practice Management (HoPM) within Chambers’ Practice Management Team (PMgT) however the successful applicant will be required to be self-motivating and comfortable operating in the role independently.
Key tasks
· To establish, deliver and maintain a communications strategy for Chambers.
· To manage the promotional activities of Chambers, its Practice Teams, and individual members, by managing and developing:
o Chambers’ website and social media platforms,
o Webinars, podcasts and other digital training methods,
o In-person and hybrid training and promotional events.
· To assist the HoPM by promoting Chambers to professional clients.
· To establish and manage media engagement.
· To manage and promote engagement with legal associations, charities and NGOs.
· To promote Chambers and its members to the legal directories.
· To assist with the development and promotion of campaigns organised or joined by Chambers.
· To undertake internal communication work building a culture of engagement across Chambers.
The above tasks will include:
· Identifying newsworthy cases and issues upon which Chambers may wish to engage, including through liaising closely with members of Chambers and the Practice Management Team (PMgT).
· Working under the direction of the HoPM to assist in the practice development of individual members.
· Engaging barrister members and pupils to produce high quality material for the website and social media, including content production such as webinars, podcasts and vlogs.

The individual will have:

The role
The Associate Technical Advisor will support project management and provision of technical assistance to endemic country governments across a portfolio of NTD projects, with a focus on schistosomiasis (SCH) and soil-transmitted helminthiases (STH). Working with Deputy Directors and Technical Advisors within the Technical Team, the Associate Technical Advisor will contribute to planning and delivery of NTD programming, monitoring of progress and project outcomes, and reporting.
Having excellent communication, the Associate Technical Advisor will have technical knowledge of global health issues and ideally also the control and elimination of neglected tropical diseases and will support the wider team in working respectfully and in partnership with our colleagues globally. The Associate Technical Advisor will ideally also have experience working in sub-Saharan Africa and effectively managing daily priorities in a flexible and adaptable manner.
Essential requirements of this role are a professional working proficiency in French to enable working in a francophone environment and the ability to regularly travel to (primarily) French-speaking sub-Saharan African countries.

We support the generation and effective use of high-quality evidence to inform decision-making and improve the lives of people living in poverty in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs).

Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development. The Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) Manager is responsible for managing ongoing support to food banks as they organise and campaign for change. This varied, proactive, and fast-paced role will involve working closely with grant funded Local Organisers as part of the Trussell Trust’s Organising Programme, frequently visiting food banks and delivering online and in person training.
You will hold responsibility for providing direct support as food banks develop effective campaign strategies – covering local and Trussell Trust priorities – and ensuring they have the capacity, skills, and resources to deliver them. Who we are
Gatsby Charitable Foundation is one of the 16 Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts (SFCT) established by individual members of the Sainsbury family.
Gatsby established a small team focused on education policy in England almost 40 years ago. While priorities have changed and evolved, our approach has been consistent: we aim to be more than a funder. We act as an enabler for projects, working with partners in designing, developing, and, in some cases, delivering activities. We take a long-term view as we do not think much can be achieved by short, one-off projects.
About the role
We are now looking for someone to join our education team as a Research Officer.
You will manage complex projects in support of Gatsby’s objectives in education, including undertaking quantitative and qualitative research and scoping and commissioning research from academics, consultancies and think tanks to inform Gatsby programmes. You will be expected to represent Gatsby at external meetings, organise meetings and events, and develop strong working relationships with key partners.
A primary purpose of the work is improving our understanding of the FE teaching workforce and teacher education in FE.
This role requires excellent research and organisation skills and the ability to collaborate to deliver high-quality outputs that support technical education. You will have (or be comfortable undertaking) training as an accredited researcher to be able to access appropriate public datasets. You will be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders at different levels.

The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Undertaking quantitative and qualitative research, and scope and commission research from academics, consultancies and think tanks to inform Gatsby’s programmes to support technical education, in particular, further education (FE) workforce and introduction of T-levels.
- Working with the Director of Programmes to commission research on the supply of specialist teachers in FE and T-levels.
- Collecting and analysing public data on technical education (FE workforce, T-levels) and communicating the data through the website and other routes as appropriate.
- Providing day to day support for the Director on the oversight and communication of research programmes in FE workforce and T-levels implementation.
- Identify potential organisations and individuals who could support Gatsby’s research agenda.

The Worker Support Centre (WSC) is a Scotland based charity that promotes decent work and prevents exploitation. We support marginalised and isolated workers in labour sectors where there is a high risk of abuse and exploitation. We work in partnership with workers to build power to secure and advance workplace rights. We prevent human trafficking for forced labour by acting to reduce the risks of worker exploitation. WSC values include: respect for human rights, representation, transparency, equality and innovation.
WSC support includes advice, mediation, advocacy and assisted reporting to enforcement agencies. Our worker engagement informs policy change activity to address harms faced by those in high-risk work. In 2023 and 2024 WSC activities were targeted at workers in seasonal agriculture on the UK Seasonal Worker visa (SWV). During this time, we provided advice, support, and information to 1031 people in relation to the SWV. WSC is now embarking on a new project to engage workers in health and social care to advance care workers’ rights through worker education and power sessions.
About the role
This role is focussed on advancing care workers’ rights by supporting WSC’s peer engagement work including actively conducting outreach to workers and facilitating worker education and power sessions. In this role you will support WSC meet two of its four core objectives to work together with workers to claim spaces for power and representation in decision making; and to build the field of knowledge about workers and their experiences to influence policy. This role also includes handling a small caseload, providing health and social care workers with information, support and impartial advice with any issues that may arise during outreach or sessions. This role will work closely together with our Peer Engagement team and Outreach Caseworker.
WSC strives to achieve representation of individuals with lived experience of the issues on which we work at all levels of our organisation and actively promotes applications from individuals with experience of the issues on which we work. For this role we would especially welcome applications from individuals with experience of working in the health and social care sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Peer engagement and outreach
· To develop, together with WSC’s Peer Engagement team, a programme of outreach and engagement to workers in social care.
· To conduct social engagement and outreach activities in person and remotely.
· To contribute to the development of WSC’s programme of activities to build worker solidarity.
· To contribute to and translate information for communication with workers on their rights and entitlements and to support WSC Worker Power work.
· Liaising with community and civil society organisations to build strong community networks.
· To ensure that those in need of support access WSC’s Casework service, and/or are signposted to available services, including legal advice.
Casework
· To provide high-quality casework support around housing, debt and employment rights;
· To monitor and respond to email, phone and message enquiries from workers.
· To liaise with external services, including lawyers on legal advice sessions and make appointments for workers to access such advice.
· To support workers to navigate support and advice from external agencies;
· To record worker information using Advice Pro case management software.
Participation
· Support participatory analysis workshops with workers to jointly analyse concerns articulated in order to establish standards workers would like to see upheld for health and social care workers.
· Actively support workers to engage in advocacy, including by providing worker-centred briefings on advocacy processes and meetings, ensuring meaningful participation and leadership by workers.
· Engage with workers via social media and other online tools, through clear communications outputs.
General
· Support the whole organisation goal to integrate workers in all our work at all levels of the organisation.
Person Specification
1) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Understanding of how NGOs operate and knowledge of the issues on which WSC works: labour rights, migrant rights, organising, anti-trafficking and human rights.
- Experience in worker organising, engaging with workers and upholding labour rights, or support provision to workers through casework.
2) QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree level in public policy, law, or human rights or equivalent experience.
- A valid UK Driving license
3) EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in labour organising or worker support - 2 years
