About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer in our Facilities team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in plumbing, mechanical and electrical working in a palliative care/clinical environment.

The role will provide support to the team and carry out repairs to mechanical and plumbing services and equipment, e.g. replacement of filters in ventilation systems, check tensions of drive belts, record details of works, materials and time on a docket or our helpdesk system. The role will also support with programmed planned maintenance works to mechanical and plumbing services such as checking temperature of water taps and outlets, descaling showerheads, following prescribed instructions to defined standards, record actions and/or findings using a formal written report system and provide information to the Head of Facilities on replacement parts and spares to enable orders to be raised.

About you

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Either BTEC National Certificate (HNC Electronic Engineering). Or Completion of at least 4yr apprenticeship of Practical and Theoretical Training as an Electronic Technician or equivalent
• Good knowledge of plumbing materials sufficient to be able to maintain and discuss the maintenance needs of water systems i.e. pump and pipe sizes and their uses
• Good knowledge on health and Safety risk assessment and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Fundraising 

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising outreach plan to build a strong pipeline of potential donors and partners.

• Identify, cultivate, and secure significant grants from trusts, foundations, businesses, and major donors.

• Explore innovative ways to diversify and expand Fair Shot’s fundraising efforts.

• Implement and deliver  fundraising outreach to build out our list of fundraising leads.

• Fundraising strategy -  Build and communicate a new fundraising strategy for Fair Shot which underpins our Programme and traded income generation function. We have started to establish key relationships with HNWIs and corporate fundraising to date, so you would be responsible for growing these and developing a Supporter Programme to keep them engaged. 

•  Grow overall fundraised income from £400k pa to £700k PA  over the next 3 years.

• Research and identify viable funding opportunities in line with sector trends and organization fit.

• Prepare forecasts for fundraising quarterly to present to the Board of Trustees.

Writing, reporting and recording

• Grant applications and reports -  Write and submit funding proposals to trusts and foundations and corporate supporters.

• Impact report -  Support the creation of engaging content from our impact data and case studies, for our website and social media that could lead to online fundraising and occasional  press releases

Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the lead contact person for all external partnerships, fostering strong, long-term relationships.

• Develop and expand meaningful engagement opportunities for corporate partners to support Fair Shot’s mission.

• Build and maintain a comprehensive partnership database, ensuring systematic follow-ups and relationship nurturing.

• Actively engage with existing and prospective partners to enhance their involvement and contribution.

Events & Networking

• Plan, organise, and host quarterly in-person events with key stakeholders to showcase Fair Shot’s work and fundraising initiatives.

• Attend relevant industry and networking events to increase Fair Shot’s visibility and secure new partnerships.

• Ensure all events align with Fair Shot’s brand, values, and fundraising goals.

Internal Engagement & Communications

• Develop a deep understanding of Fair Shot’s programmes and work closely with internal teams to align fundraising strategies.

The Advice Services directorate at Toynbee Hall is central to our commitment to address and alleviate poverty in London and beyond. Specialising in debt, welfare benefits, legal support, and generalist advice, our directorate has proven instrumental in significantly enhancing the financial wellbeing of those we serve. Last year alone, our efforts helped individuals and families to be over £23 million better off, showcasing the direct impact of our work.

Scope of role

The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Head of Grant Delivery. This role involves managing schedules, coordinating communications, and organising meetings and events. Additionally, the Partnership Coordinator will support the Head of Grant Delivery with administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders and invoices on the finance system, and assist with project management activities. The role also includes coordinating logistics and deliveries across the Debt Free Advice supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Head of Grant Delivery Support

• Organise, plan, and take minutes at meetings, including handling logistics like booking rooms, arranging refreshments, and notifying attendees.
• Follow up on action items and ensure the implementation of decisions made during meetings.
• Prepare and distribute reports and other documentation to keep the partner organisations informed and engaged.

Administrative Support for Finance

• Raise purchase orders and invoices on the finance system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational procedures.
• Assist with financial administrative tasks as needed.

Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate logistics and deliveries across the Debt Free Advice supply chain to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Manage logistics for internal and external events, including town halls, workshops, conferences, and staff meetings.

Communication Facilitation

• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders seeking to connect with the Head of Grant Delivery.

Event and Administrative Tasks

• Plan and execute internal and CEO forums, meetings or other events.
• Coordinate and organise additional meetings and manage any emergent administrative needs.

We’re recruiting for a Research Programme Manager in our newly formed Evidence and Impact team. This is an exciting new role where you’ll oversee the Fund’s externally commissioned research activity, making sure it delivers evidence and insights that our organisation needs to support communities across the UK. 

Building strong, positive working relationships is critical. You’ll work with colleagues to identify and manage new requests for research contracts and ensure these are appropriately specified, designed, monitored and costed. The culmination of this work will be your annual bid for the research programme as part of our business planning process. 

You’ll play a leading role in governance too, owning and improving standards and processes related to commissioning research and learning contracts and regularly reporting to governance groups on their status. And together with the Head of Strategic Analysis, you’ll maintain a strong network of contacts within government, other funders and the wider VCSE sector. This will allow you to identify common evidence interests and commission joint research projects.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Director of Income Generation to join our Senior Leadership Team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. We are looking for candidates across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and this role will be based in our offices or at home but with some travel within England, Wales and Northern Ireland as required. 

As a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a strategic role in the overall leadership and management of Friends of the Earth. This role has the responsibility of ensuring implementation of an ambitious but achievable income generation strategy. You’ll also be responsible for managing multiple income streams, all contributing to a robust and resilient portfolio of income that enables maximum organisational impact.

We are looking for an empathetic, inspiring and approachable leader with a strong track record of successful, sustainable income generation. You will have experience of strategic thinking and planning and the ability to build collective commitment to a vision. You will also have the ability to analyse the external environment and navigate clear paths for Friends of the Earth using mixture of new ideas and best practice, together with a solid understanding of the wider NGO context with regards to income generation and supporter engagement

This is an exciting opportunity with a breadth of responsibility and will require collaborative working with the senior leadership team (SLT) and Board of Trustees. With a ~£25m budget and ~146 employees we need robust systems, clear financial strategy and expert financial leadership to support the organisation to achieve our mission. Reporting to the director of culture and operations, you will lead on ensuring Frontline has an outstanding and proactive finance and compliance function, with robust systems and high-performing people. 

You will lead the finance and compliance team, covering the areas of finance, legal, governance, IT and compliance (including data protection). The role provides an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to set and deliver on strategic goals, and you will be responsible for setting clear direction for the finance and compliance team.

The finance and compliance team sits within the culture and operations directorate (see structure chart), which supports Frontline’s teams to achieve our mission by delivering operational efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability. The head of finance and compliance is a senior position with a wide remit of responsibility, so we need a highly driven individual to provide critical support to the entire organisation.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Finance – Lead the organisation’s financial strategy, planning and budgeting processes, advise senior leadership and trustees on financial consequences and manage the Finance Manager to sustain a high-performing team culture
• Legal, governance, IT and compliance– Manage the Legal and Compliance Manager to effectively respond to requests for advice, manage/support the IT and Facilities Officer to establish the systems and processes to meet regulatory requirements as well as effectively respond to requests for advice.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Services Manager in our Human Resources team at St Joseph’s Hospice.

We are looking for someone who has experience in HR Management and working in either an NHS or charity environment. The HR department is a small dynamic and close-knit team focused on continuous improvement. This year will be an exciting year of innovation and transformation, which will see new processes and practices implemented to respond to the changing needs of the Hospice. The HR Services Manager leads a team of 4 and will be responsible for all HR Operational Matters. Previous NHS or Hospice experience would be an advantage.

You will oversee and manage the work of the HR team, carry a full HR generalist case load including supporting the medical team, understand payroll and be able to ensure rigour is applied to all Payroll and HR activities. You will be up to date with UK employment law and lead HR Workshops for Managers. You will own projects such as Gender Pay Gap Reporting, and work closely with the HR Director to deliver the stretch targets for the team as we move into a new strategic cycle.

Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting a Senior Fundraising Manager (International Programmes) to lead the development and implementation of an income generation strategy for Fairtrade Foundation’s international programmes, including the development, implementation and monitoring of all programme fundraising initiatives, grant applications and other initiatives. The role will look to identify and develop new business and funding opportunities, to enable the growth of our programmes portfolio focusing on agriculture and value chain development, human rights and dignified work, living incomes and living wages, and climate change and the environment.

About the role

The Head of Executive Office provides oversight, coordination, and leadership for cross-functional activities, in particularly leading cross-organisational planning, setting performance measures, reporting, and monitoring of our annual and multi-year strategy and plans, and supporting the organisations effective governance to deliver on these.  You’ll oversee the internal calendar and cycle of accountability and reporting, as well as supporting development and delivery on long-term operational plans to support our sustainability.
