The Youth Leadership Programme Manager will work on a nationally funded project developed in collaboration with local young people, NHS North East London, and the University of Hertfordshire. They will play a key role in supporting young people who live in the area, and the adults who work with them, to learn and work together to explore how participation can improve the health and wellbeing of local young people.

The role will manage our Young Advisors Team, supporting them to develop the skills, confidence and agency to play an active and equitable role within the project.  The project will be guided by the values of co-production (being human, inclusive, transparent, and challenging) to ensure that all forms of experience are valued equally, and power imbalances addressed openly. 

The post requires a high degree of flexibility around working days and hours as well as the ability to travel within North East London to support the meaningful involvement of young people in the project.

What you’ll be doing

This role is an exciting opportunity to learn how finance works in a busy and ambitious trade association. You can expect a combination of regular tasks and a significant amount of variety as you get involved in different aspects of our work. 

Your day is likely to involve:

• Building relationships with our busy staff team, answering questions and helping them make use of financial information to support their work

• Providing support during audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, forecasts and budgets

• Working with the Finance Manager to find ways to reduce financial risk for the company

• Performing data entry and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions

• Supporting our accounts payable and receivable functions

• Processing invoices and payments (including membership fees)

• Supporting day-to-day transactional processing and banking

Qualifications and experience required for this role: Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a prior finance or accounting qualification to apply for this role. On-the-job training will be provided and Ukie may be willing to support training towards a qualification for a suitable candidate.

• Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm

We are seeking a social researcher, with strong knowledge and expertise in child participation to contribute to all aspects of our work. We are particularly interested in the candidate having a background in participatory work with children. International travel to the range of countries in which Coram International works is an essential part of this role and will be for periods of between 1 to 3 weeks (per mission), up to a total of approximately 3 months per year.

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Governance teams of two local Devon hospices. Hospiscare, the hospice for Exeter, Mid and East Devon, and St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, are jointly recruiting for a Data Protection Officer.

In this role you’ll play an important part in safeguarding both organisations’ information.  Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with information management legislation and policies, assessing risks and implementing effective controls.  You’ll have technical understanding of data protection legislation, together with in-depth knowledge of cyber security principles and risk management.

You will lead the growth of our Individual Giving programme, bringing new donors on board across traditional and digital streams. You will be working with supporters to answer their questions about legacy and in-memory giving, and working with the next of kin to ensure that their loved one's legacy is cherished.

We are looking for a creative thinker that has enthusiasm and motivation to lead these areas of work. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being a collaborative team member. You will be supported by the Head of Public Fundraising to achieve transformational results across Individual Giving and Legacies. The Role 
 

The role of Shop Manager involves actively running our new shop in Hull and implementing processes and ways of working.

• Be responsible for ensuring the team are working towards achieving all key performance indicators. 

• Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

About You

Job Description

The successful applicant will line-managed by and work closely with the Head of Practice Management (HoPM). It is essential though that they are self-motivated and can work independently as the role has sole responsibility for communications.

Key tasks

· To establish and maintain a communications strategy and plan for Chambers, utilising the latest in digital communication methods.

· To manage the promotional activities of Chambers, its Practice Teams, and individual members, by managing and developing:

o Its website and social media,

o Webinars, podcasts and other digital training methods,

o In-person training and promotional events.

· To assist the HoPM by promoting Chambers to professional clients.

· To manage the promotion of Chambers via the media.

· To manage and promote engagement with legal associations, charities and NGOs to further the ethos and business of Chambers.

· To promote Chambers and its members to relevant legal directories.

· To assist with the development and promotion of campaigns organised or joined by Chambers.

· To undertake internal communication work building a culture of engagement across Chambers.

The above tasks will include:

· Identifying newsworthy cases and issues upon which Chambers may wish to engage, including through liaising closely with members of Chambers and the Practice Management Team (PMgT) to identify notable cases and issues upon which we may wish to engage.

· Working under the direction of the HoPM to assist in the practice development of individual members.

· Engaging barrister members and pupils to produce high quality training and promotional material for the website and social media, including content production such as webinars, podcasts and vlogs.

· Ensuring the website is:

o Accessible, attractive, interesting and as useful as possible to our professional and lay clients,

o Optimised to achieve top search engine ranking,

o Up to date, with members’ pages regularly reviewed, and news items frequently added,

o A source of training materials and information relating to our work and ethos, including webinars, vlogs, blogs and ‘how to’ guides.

· Ensuring a variety of social media platforms are utilised to optimise the footprint of Chambers, and to promote news about Chambers’ cases and other activities as quickly, professionally and as widely as possible.

· Identifying potential new clients to the PMgT and assisting them in the promotion of Chambers.

· Maintaining and developing professional client contact lists, mailing lists and databases, in conjunction with the Practice Teams and PMgT.

· Coordinating, advertising and managing training and promotional events in conjunction with Practice Teams and the PMgT.  This to include maximising outcomes from events.

· Liaising with outside bodies, including legal associations, charities and NGOs to promote the engagement of members of Chambers and the standing of Chambers as a whole.

· In conjunction with the HoPM and individual members, coordinating and drafting submissions to legal directories.

· Developing and maintaining effective relationships with journalists, media outlets and prominent actors in the human rights field to optimise the exposure of members and Chambers as a whole. 

· Maintaining and developing promotional material for Chambers to reflect and promote its ethos.

· Assisting with the production of Chambers promotional material, including sophisticated marketing materials by utilising the latest advertising platforms optimised for social media.

· Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on key communications activities, to help refine and improve the strategy.

· Working to a budget set by the Chambers’ AGM and reporting to the Staffing / Planning Committee and Chambers’ Meetings as requested.

Person Specification

The individual will have:

· A clear understanding and commitment to the ethos of Chambers.

· Experience of developing and maintaining an organisational communications strategy.

· The ability to think creatively and demonstrate a very high level of attention to detail.

· A strong technical understanding of website and social media platform management and content production.

· Experience of the use of a range of digital communications for promotion and development.

· Experience of planning remote, in-person and hybrid events from inception to delivery including working with outside agencies.

· The ability to draft clear, engaging copy and undertake editing, under pressure.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· The ability to work both in a team and on own initiative.

· Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise.

The successful applicant will be confident and articulate, and may have relevant experience in the NGO, international organisation, development or charity sector.  A general understanding of the way the legal profession is organised and works will be helpful but not essential.

The role

Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK’s leading Bereavement charity. We help people through one of the most painful times of their lives through bereavement support, information and campaigning.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Delivery Co-ordinator to join our Somewhere For Us Project team.  The aim of the Somewhere For Us project is to ensure that children and young people feel supported on their grief journey.  The project service is co-designed with a Youth Advisory Group.  You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of bereavement supports to children, young people and communities across the Western and Northern Trust Areas and wider NI if required.  The support is provided through Understanding Your Child’s Bereavement online session for parents, group support, 1-1 support and Understanding Your Bereavement online sessions for children and young people.  Awareness sessions are provided to organisations and individuals working with children and young people within the community, for example sports clubs, community groups, schools, churches.  

The Somewhere For Us Project supports bereaved children and young people aged 8 – 25.  It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund through their Empowering Young People funding stream.

The role

Do you have good people skills, are you organised, methodical and can work with IT equipment and manage databases?

We are looking for a Corporate Services Support Officer who will support our HR & IT functions.  You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of employee recruitment, updating our policies and procedures, managing the IT requirements and maintaining the HR & IT databases.  We need someone who has got experience of working in a support function and would like to be involved in moving our support model forward.

About the service

Children and young people who are looked after don’t always have a trusted adult that they can rely upon for support, with many young people not having someone that they can talk to or trust.

Our independent visitor service provides looked after children and young people with an adult volunteer who spends time with them, offering support and friendship whilst being a positive role model to enable young people to build on their confidence and self-esteem, whilst helping learn new skills and raise their aspirations.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic IV Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day running of the independent visitor service in Solihull and Bedford, splitting your time between these two services working 27 hours for Solihull and 8 hours for Bedford.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a pool of volunteers which includes the recruitment, training, and induction of new volunteers to become volunteer independent visitors, before matching them with a young person who has been referred to the service.

You will provide continuous support to volunteers to ensure that the service is being delivered to a high standard, and that children and young people are safeguarded at all times.

You will also be responsible for monitoring volunteer visits, budgets and ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken as required, whilst acting as a link between NYAS and the local authority by liaising with social workers, carers and other professionals.

The role

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Trust and Foundation fundraising. Your responsibilities will include building long-term partnerships with grant making trusts and foundations, ensuring support through in-depth research, excellent stewardship, and timely and accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and collaboratively with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, as well as colleagues across the organisation to find creative and compelling projects to be funded.

As an effective communicator you will have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to create high quality proposals and informative reports. You will have excellent relationship management skills with the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Your role involves managing the trusts and foundations pipeline and you will need to be able to take initiative, research, prioritise and organise your own work to achieve deadlines across multiple tasks.

You will have:

- Experience in new identifying, researching, and reaching new prospects.
- Experience in writing bespoke proposals.
- Strong administrative, planning & prioritisation abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft office applications
