The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in driving the operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and strategic growth of Well Grounded. This position will lead on programme delivery, financial management, human resources, risk and compliance, governance, and facilities management, ensuring that the organisation operates smoothly and sustainably.
The post-holder will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), embedding a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation. This is a senior leadership role, requiring a strong background in operations, safeguarding, and strategic management within a social enterprise or charity/education setting. The role will include regular travel to our academies currently based in London, Bristol and due to launch in Leeds this year. Travel will be covered.

The 2021 Census shows that around 36% of Camden’s households are now made up of private renters, and in the Haverstock and Primrose Hill wards, where this project will operate, it’s 27% and 35% respectively. This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.
This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. The worker will set up the project and is the key person in ensuring the smooth delivery of it in line with its stated aims and objectives.
Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it involves work within specific locations in the London Borough of Camden.
Project management:
1. To plan and deliver the project to all agreed deadlines, milestones and targets
2. To manage the project budget in liaison with CFPT’s Assistant Organiser

1. To creatively engage with a wide variety of private renters (focussing particularly on the more vulnerable and socially isolated ones) in different locations and settings across the 2 wards to ensure they are aware of the range of local services available to them
Participating:
1. To promote and raise awareness of the project both online and through organising meetings, events and activities in the wards

3. To publicise the project and private renters’ issues through the different media and other communication channels
Informing, empowering and supporting:

About You
The Central Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Central Operations Manager with administrative support for the Society, which includes finance administration, membership and grants administration and journal sales processing. There is also a requirement for the postholder to support with some facilities management and office support activities.
The postholder will contribute to and support the Central Operations Manager and the Chief Operations Officer in the delivery of all of the Trustee Board’s strategic objectives and particularly in relation to long-term sustainability by maximising cost savings and efficiencies.

- Proven relationships with journalists, editors, producers and broadcasters at national, regional and specialist climate and environmental outlets.

- Support parishes in growing regular and ad hoc online donations by:

- Expanding online giving platforms to improve accessibility and donor engagement.
3. Donor Relationships and Stewardship
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors, including major benefactors, grant funders, and parish-level supporters.
- Implement donor stewardship strategies to retain and grow the donor base through regular communication, engagement opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
- Foster a culture of stewardship across the Diocese communicating the difference it makes.
- Provide regular updates and high-quality reports, driven by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), on fundraising performance and initiatives.
- Report on fundraising outcomes to senior management and the Board of Trustees, ensuring alignment with the Diocese’s mission and strategic priorities.
4. Parish Support and Capacity Building
- Equip parishes with tools, training, guidance, and hands-on support to run successful local fundraising initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and support sessions for parish fundraising committees, helping them develop sustainable funding strategies.
- Support the promotion and coordination of Second Collections across the Diocese for key causes, ensuring that parishes are well-equipped with:
- Clear guidance on collection dates and processes.

Their duties will include identifying leads, pitching companies, NFP, government offices and local authorities, building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing businesses and suppliers, whilst responsible for the overall strategic management and programme development of a portfolio of partnerships. Responsibilities
