Main duties and responsibilities:
- To prepare, cook and serve nutritional balanced food with the young people and staff
- To control portions and food cost management.
- Organise and supervise the food service.

- Ordering weekly food stock on line; establishing and maintaining an appropriate stock control methodology.

The Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will take on a key role, creating the income we need to undertake our vital work supporting disabled people.
We are looking to further develop and diversify our income streams beyond Trusts and foundation and focus on increasing donations from individuals with an interest in our cause.
Growing our individual supporter base, you will recruit new supporters and build on the excellent foundations laid by our outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours.
You will provide outstanding relationship management and donor care to supporters, ensuring they are recognised and thanked for their contribution. About You

What a day might look like for you
It's an exciting time to join us in the decade of our bicentenary as we focus on our Strategy to 2030. The RSPCA works 365 days a year, rescuing all animals of all types from abuse, neglect, and injury.
Here's some of the key work you'll be doing:
- Monitor, share and analyse policies, reports, news and announcements (including answers to Parliamentary Questions) from relevant bodies (such as the European Commission, Home Office and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology), proactively and on request, in order to help maintain the Animals in Science Department's knowledge base.
- Search for articles, research papers and general information relevant to the Department's work, to support the work of the scientific staff and maintain the Department's knowledge base regarding research animal welfare and use, ethics and the 3Rs.
- Undertake additional supporting tasks as required, such as helping to organise meetings; laying out and formatting publications; developing guidance and tools to enable further implementation of the 3Rs and robust ethical review of animal use, writing up meeting reports for publication.
- Work closely with the Digital Media team, providing and updating content for the RSPCA website relevant to the Society's work to help laboratory animals.
- Help produce content (eg. articles, infographics) for the public, members of animal ethics committees and other stakeholders, to inform these audiences of issues relating to animal research and testing and of the RSPCA's work in this area.
- Help promote the RSPCA's work for lab animals using a variety of communication channels including social media.
- To represent the RSPCA at relevant forums and give presentations at relevant meetings or workshops, internally and externally.

Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Recruit four schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

BACKGROUND
The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. Working under the direction of the Director Policy & Advocacy Europe, the Sr. Program Officer will be responsible for the implementation of IFAW’s global programmatic strategies in the UK region. Consolidating and building on previous progress, the focus will be primarily on combatting wildlife crime, engaging relevant national stakeholders across policy, enforcement, civil society, private sector, and academic sectors.
The Sr. Program Officer will work collaboratively with global staff to ensure alignment with IFAW program priorities, leveraging IFAW’s networks and expertise worldwide to achieve success.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to deliver under their own initiative while balancing the need to work within an international team, ideally with experience in a government department or agency, or a non-profit organization, preferably within a global structure.

Role and Responsibilities

· Develop the strategy and operational plans for policy advocacy, program implementation and research within the framework of IFAW’s global programs and policies, ensuring that budgets, targets, and performance indicators are set and work monitored, evaluated, and reported effectively within the organisation’s reporting mechanisms.

· Build and maintain relationships with policymakers and stakeholders in law enforcement, academia, private sector (where relevant) and civil society organisations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
· At least 5 years of relevant experience, in areas such as nonprofit management, wildlife conservation, policy development and advocacy, project and financial management, stakeholder engagement.
· Demonstrated experience of successful political engagement on difficult issues, with a track record of skillfully navigating parliamentary structures and government decision-making to achieve political or governmental support.
· Strong network of political and governmental contacts and knowledge of policy and legislation development within the UK.
· Good knowledge of what wildlife crime entails, and who the key actors are that aim to combat wildlife crime, is highly desired. Specific expertise in wildlife cyber-enabled crime a bonus. About the role
We are looking for a Youth Practitioner for our Yorkshire Project and are keen to receive applications from those living in Hull and East Riding.
As a Youth Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm and supporting them and their families on a path to a brighter future. You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).
Working with other Youth Practitioners in your project area, you will be responsible for supporting a number of young people who have been identified as being vulnerable on the transport system. The role will involve working directly with young people and their families to reduce risks, as well as building strong relationships other social care, Police, third sector agencies and local services in the area.

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

Working arrangements

We're looking to appoint a Senior Programmes Manager - North West (Maternity cover) to help us shape and manage our programmes for young people nationally and lead our work in the North West.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.
