As the Regulatory Projects Officer, you will play a proactive role in supporting the Regulatory Project Manager with the planning, development, and delivery of key regulatory initiatives. You will gather and analyse intelligence, ensure compliance with the Code of Fundraising Practice, and engage with a range of external stakeholders, including charities, professional bodies, and other regulators. Additionally, you will assist in preparing reports and contribute to investigations that help identify future regulatory projects. Building strong relationships with external partners and collaborating with internal teams will be critical to the smooth and successful delivery of these projects.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in casework, policy, or regulatory project delivery, with proven communication skills—both written and verbal. You must be able to interpret complex information, report it clearly to senior colleagues, and adapt your communication style to suit different audiences. Strong investigative skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders alongside being comfortable working both independently and proactively, as well as in a team environment.
While not essential, knowledge of the charity sector would be highly desirable. Familiarity with the Code of Fundraising Practice, along with a basic technical understanding of CRM systems, would be beneficial. Strong project management skills, particularly in planning, reporting, and delivering objectives, will further enhance your success in this role.

The Lead of Grants and Programmes plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact.
The Lead will oversee several portfolios of work within the grants and programmes function at Battersea, as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. Over the coming five years, it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making, and other forms of programming will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad.
This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, impact measurement, good grant making practice and implementing strategic programmes.
The successful postholder should be comfortable empowering others, taking a coaching approach to team management and in supporting the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should also be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.
We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.
You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.

Press Officer Responsibilities:
• Manage our press officer so that we are able to respond to press inquiries in a timely and effective manner. We are lucky enough to manage a very busy press office, so strong organisational skills are required.
• Create press plans and proactively pitch stories which help achieve our wider campaign goals. This will involve creating press strategies with creative flare and the Press Officer will need to be comfortable thinking of new angles and stunts to raise our profile.
• To cultivate new and nurture existing media contacts
• Media train and support volunteers from the campaign
• Deputise for the campaign manager when required
• Oversee and generate fresh content for our social media channels, working alongside volunteers from the campaign
• Support with drafting copy to update our members as well as fundraising and reaching other external stakeholders when necessary
• Translate at times complicated policy lines around public health and legal processes into compelling personalised narratives for press statements and comments
Essential Experience:
• Experience of working within a busy press office environment, PR agency or as a journalist
• Proven experience of creating and implementing effective media strategies which help advance wider organisational aims and goals.
• Proven experience of proactive pitching stories in high profile media outlets that help to advance an organisations aims
• Proven experience of managing and maintaining good relationships with a variety of journalists, including national print and broadcast media, as well as political and health correspondents.
• Experience of prioritising effectively in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Excellent writing skills that can be tailored to reach a range of audiences.
• Experience of working with case studies and being sensitive and supportive to their needs
• Experience of successfully media training spokespeople

This role will play a pivotal part in leading the successful delivery of the annual hospice fundraising event programme. As part of the role, you will be responsible for the cultivating of important relationships with stakeholders, corporate sponsors and supporters alike. You will manage the day-to-day event operations from start to finish, including event planning, risk assessments, and analysis and reporting. Your exceptional communication and networking skills will be essential in fostering partnerships and securing support for the hospice. To be successful in the role of Senior Events Officer, you will need:
