Who you are
You will either have a relevant financial qualification or bring equivalent experience. The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Data Analyst to work on a full-time basis, 37 hours per week. Alternatively, we will consider part-time hours on a Job Share basis. The role is offered on a hybrid or remote basis depending on proximity to a NEA office.
As part of NEA’s Policy and Advocacy Directorate, you will work within our highly effective Insights and Impact team, as we focus on a decade of delivery that guarantees a fair energy future for all, and ensures those on the lowest incomes and living in the least efficient homes receive the support needed to protect health and wellbeing.
The post holder will support National Energy Action in harnessing the power of data analysis and visualisation in the delivery of our charitable aims. They will form part of a process to embed a ‘data driven culture’ within the charity, enhancing our capability and capacity to:

What you will need to succeed
You will have demonstrable and applied experience in a data analyst role and hold an appropriate qualification in a relevant subject. You will be familiar and confident in using data visualization tools and programming languages to manipulate, analyse and present data.
A compelling communicator you will have the ability to translate complex data into easily digestible, accessible and actionable insights that can be easily understood by diverse stakeholders. The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities
- Ask for and check references for new volunteers

Context and Background
The NSPCC is the leading charity focused on preventing child cruelty in the UK. We believe that together, we can stop child abuse and neglect. The NSPCC’s sector- leading press office plays a big part in this work by raising awareness of the organisation’s work to influence politicians, fundraise and provide services for children and their families. Week-in-week-out the busy team provides journalists with powerful proactive stories and quick-off-the-mark reaction that generates consistently high levels of media coverage across local, nations, national, consumer and specialist print, broadcast and online outlets.
This role is to be part of the National Media Team, working closely with a Media Manager, another Senior Media Officer and a Press Office Assistant to promote the NSPCC’s major policy-change campaigns and priorities, predominantly via national print, broadcast and digital media. Key areas of focus will include child protection and children’s social care, child sexual abuse, domestic abuse, online safety, early years, education and children’s experience of the justice system. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a network of contacts within the national media, using these relationships to ensure the NSPCC is at the forefront of coverage related to child abuse and neglect. In this position, you will support the Head of People & Culture and People & Culture Partner’s in providing HR support, to deliver a responsive, pro-active HR function. You will provide first line HR support and advice on various human resources related topics, processes and policies. You will support with recruitment processes and respond to staff queries. You will contribute to the development of HR processes and procedures across the organisation and support with generating paperwork, scheduling appointments and managing mailbox queries.
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrable experience working in a HR role. You will be CIPD Qualified Level 3 or working towards the qualification. You will have knowledge and understanding of basic employment law and good practise. You have experience/knowledge of the employee lifecycle and knowledge of good recruitment practise.
You will be IT literate with experience of using HRIS and Microsoft Office. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders. You will enjoy working as a part of a team and able to work on your own initiative. You will also have the ability to remain discrete and confidential at all times. You will have strong organisational and time management skills.

Summary of the role
Our successful charity runs pathways which focus on employability and skills for everyday living to help young people, with SEN and learning disabilities to gain confidence and social support, alongside nationally recognised qualifications. Green Corridor requires the skills of an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant, who can work effectively with our learners who each have their own additional needs. The candidate we require should ideally have experience and/or affinity for working with young adults with Special Educational Needs. The role would involve supporting learners within their subject area, and functional skills, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Specific duties and responsibilities of the role
Supporting Young People
- To work with the tutor to establish an appropriate learning environment.
- To work with the tutor on lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lesson/work plans as appropriate.
- To monitor and evaluate learners’ responses to learning activities through observations and planned recording of achievement against learning objectives.
- To use specialist skills to support learners’ learning such as PECS, Makaton, symbols and iPads.
- To assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of learning programmes and individual work plans.
- To prepare and assist in the preparation of the classroom, resources and equipment.
- To establish productive working relationships with learners acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Communicating with learners with varying degrees of speech and language difficulties, using communicative system/equipment where necessary.
- To promote inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the classroom and across Green Corridor.
- To support learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
- To encourage individual learners to interact and work co-operatively with others whilst engaging in activities.
- To promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and acknowledge achievement and self-reliance.
- To provide feedback to learners in relation to progress and achievement and to provide accurate, evidenced and objective feedback and reports to the tutor.

Professional Development
- To participate in 30 hours CPD per year specific to the needs of learners and Green Corridor, including working towards appropriate qualifications needed to perform your role.

Other duties
- Undertake any other task identified as being necessary to fulfil contract requirements or the requirements of an individual support.

Turn2us is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Brand and Communications Officer to lead the project management of our brand review and support communications activities for Turn2us. The successful candidate will play a key role in refining and enhancing our brand identity to help us reach those most affected by financial insecurity.
We are looking for someone who can confidently co-ordinate our brand review project, working closely with the Head of Brand and Communications and the Campaigns and Communications Manager to balance the needs and views of both external and internal stakeholders. Alongside the co-ordination of the brand review project, you’ll support the day-to-day activities of the brand and communications team, e.g. writing messaging, creating visuals.
We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.
