We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland. You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to CAVA’s Health and Wellbeing Manager to support the delivery of the community engagement aspect of the REN Workplan which is identified through the REN Working/Steering Group. The Coventry and Warwickshire REN is currently funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and aims to increase opportunities and inclusivity for people (particularly from underserved communities) to take part in research, to tackle health inequalities, and identify ways for researchers to improve the health and wellbeing of people across Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System.

This role will support engagement with communities throughout Coventry and Warwickshire by supporting delivery of in-person engagement events and support the recruitment of, and support related to, Volunteer Community Research Champions who play a vital and central role within this scope of work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support organisation and delivery of in-person engagement events for the REN work
- Support the REN Working and Steering Groups with communications and marketing activities with various stakeholders (including with: VCFSEs; potential and existing volunteer Community Research Champions; updates to funders; and for various communication channels of the ICS)
- Support gathering of examples of good practice and presenting these case studies in various formats
- Support the team with gathering intelligence, and liaising with VCFSEs about capturing and sharing in an Engagements and Insights Atlas the research opportunities and learnings from across Coventry and Warwickshire
- Champion VCFSEs involvement in using their knowledge and understanding of issues related to addressing inequalities and under-representation, and improving health
- Support the REN with writing monitoring reports
- Circulate relevant material and agendas and take notes from virtual and in-person meetings
- Support the REN with the recruitment, on-going support, training, and organisation of virtual and in-person events for volunteer Community Research Champions
- Attend relevant meetings (in-person and virtually, as appropriate)
General
- Participate in individual supervision sessions with your line manager.

We have coordinated and implemented major successful campaigns and developed cutting-edge campaign, communications and research tactics. The Role
Core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
- Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
- Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
- Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle
- Community management across the various campaign channels
- Developing social media toolkits and coordinating with partners around big mobilisations
- Analysing the performance of social media outputs and their contribution towards the wider campaign, and making recommendations on how to improve
- Managing the distribution of key pieces of social media content to relevant stakeholders to increase online amplification (partners, groups and pages)
- Supporting the campaign team on other digital tasks as required: ie maintaining campaign websites, digital action tools, online databases and email inbox

We have an exciting opportunity for a experienced and highly organised Governance Risk & Compliance Officer to join our team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the effective administration of the Board's activities, maintaining robust governance practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and internal policies.
The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Officer will play the lead role in ensuring the Trust’s adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
1. Develop and Maintain Frameworks: The GRC Officer develops, maintains, and implements governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks. These frameworks guide security functions and activities within the company.
2. Internal Control Management: They manage the internal control environment by analysing data, mitigating risks, and maintaining corporate compliance procedures.
3. Support Internal Audits: The GRC Officer coordinates internal audits, collaborates with auditors, and ensures compliance with industry standards.
4. Legal Point of Contact: As the first legal point of contact, they advise staff on corporate compliance matters, including security assessments and risk control investigations.
5. Regulatory Compliance: The Officer reviews the company’s compliance with existing and new regulations, identifies deficiencies, and provides necessary mitigations.
In summary, the GRC Officer will ensure that the Trust operates within legal and regulatory boundaries while managing risks effectively.
The role will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and other Central support team members and sits within the Finance, Risk and Administrative Team.
The ideal candidate will have a robust, current understanding of risk management practices, compliance protocols, and governance structures, with recent relevant experience in a similar role.
The person will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of integrity and accountability, possess exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Children and young people who are looked after don’t always have a trusted adult that they can rely upon for support, with many young people not having someone that they can talk to or trust.
Our independent visitor service provides looked after children and young people with an adult volunteer who spends time with them, offering support and friendship whilst being a positive role model to enable young people to build on their confidence and self-esteem, whilst helping learn new skills and raise their aspirations.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic IV Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day running of the independent visitor service in Solihull and Bedford, splitting your time between these two services working 27 hours for Solihull and 8 hours for Bedford.
You will be responsible for managing and developing a pool of volunteers which includes the recruitment, training, and induction of new volunteers to become volunteer independent visitors, before matching them with a young person who has been referred to the service.
You will provide continuous support to volunteers to ensure that the service is being delivered to a high standard, and that children and young people are safeguarded at all times.
You will also be responsible for monitoring volunteer visits, budgets and ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken as required, whilst acting as a link between NYAS and the local authority by liaising with social workers, carers and other professionals.
