Role Summary
To provide administrative and operational support for Into Film’s Filmmaking programme, including the BFI-funded Young Creatives programme and our Every Child a Filmmaker initiative. ISEAL is looking for an experienced MEL professional to build and deliver its organisational M&E function, work closely with other areas of the organisation on MEL related activities, and convene a community of practice on MEL.
This new role will lead on a range of MEL related activities, from supporting the upcoming ISEAL strategic plan development and putting in place appropriate systems to monitor progress, to ensuring the organisation is making best use of available data to draw out learning and to measure results. Working closely with internal leads across a range of workstreams, the role will support in designing programme evaluations and outcome monitoring tools and processes. With colleagues from relevant focus areas, the MEL Manager will co-deliver learning at ISEAL.
Another important component of this role (roughly 30-40%) will be working with ISEAL’s Membership and Credibility team to support member organisations in implementing the ISEAL Code and ISEAL membership requirements related to MEL. The MEL Manager will be the content lead for ISEAL’s training events on M&E topics and will co-lead the M&E Community of Practice, a peer learning space for ISEAL Community members.
We are looking for someone with a range of expertise in MEL across different organisations, with a strong preference for specific experience with sustainability systems or standard organisations or comparable settings. The ideal candidate will thrive on delivering effective MEL activities in a standalone role, as well as bringing the expertise and training or facilitation skills necessary to advise others and support peer learning on related topics. They will have a strongly collaborative approach and a genuine interest in sustainability systems and learning and improvement.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Organisational and project/programme MEL activities
- Provide MEL related input into strategic planning process and implementation for new 5-year strategy (with strategy development starting in mid-2025)
- Provide support to ISEAL’s Partnership Manager and project/programme leads in programme evaluation, development of indicators and log frames
- Ensure learning and recommendations on MEL are documented, disseminated and considered when designing new projects or programmes
- Manage the delivery and continual improvement of selected MEL activities and systems, including leading necessary data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting
- Support colleagues across different teams to design and conduct surveys and programme/project evaluations, and to develop performance and outcome monitoring indicators and systems
- Work with peers and internal teams (including Membership, the Innovation Fund and Evidensia(dot).eco) to analyse and develop learning and insights to inform decision making and reporting
- Help create a culture and practice of learning at ISEAL, in liaison with the Associate Knowledge Manager

- Co-lead ISEAL’s M&E Community of Practice, preparing and facilitating virtual and in-person workshops and creating and moderating content on the ISEAL Community Platform
- Use MEL expertise to help guide and support compliance with the ISEAL Code of Good Practice, working closely with ISEAL’s Membership and Credibility team
- Act as programme officer for selected Innovation Fund grants related to MEL and the measurement of outcomes and results, supporting grant recipients with expertise and connections and helping to extract key learnings
- Develop content for and deliver training events on good practice in MEL as part of ISEAL’s training and services portfolio
- Contribute MEL and outcomes measurement expertise to collaborative projects managed by Impacts and Innovations team, supporting sustainability systems to respond to changing market and legislative expectations
Experience, Knowledge and Attributes
- Range of experience in MEL roles, ideally including experience in a sustainability system, or in a not-for profit, professional or compliance-based membership organisation
- Prior experience with donor funded projects and programmes, including MEL frameworks and development and implementation of log frames
- Demonstrated ability in a wide range of MEL related activities including theory of change, survey design, MEL and research methodologies, and the development of indicators and related data monitoring systems
- Strong quantitative data collection, management and analysis skills, including the ability to present visual insights using tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Ability to work independently, while building strong relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders

The Finance function for Groundwork Yorkshire and its trading subsidiaries. May also be responsible for the management of temporary staff, outside consultants, contractors, secondees and volunteers.
Objective:
To lead an excellent finance function that serves Groundwork Yorkshire and its subsidiaries ensuring robust financial management, planning, compliance and continued modernization. You will play a key role in coaching and supporting our programme managers to ensure they are able to achieve financial targets, and you will work closely with the Finance Director to drive profitability and efficiencies through continuous improvement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the senior management team and programme managers to monitor financial KPIs and budgets, reviewing and reforecasting as appropriate.
Manage and lead the Finance Team to maintain and develop the commitment and skills of all team members by regular communication, effective performance reviews and the provision of suitable training and development opportunities.
Maintain detailed insight into the financial position of the organisation, including monitoring cash flow, assessing the financial impact of proposed projects or activities, identifying opportunities for improvement, making financial adjustments and producing financial reports.
Produce monthly management accounts to an agreed timetable and communicate the results to the senior management team.

Prepare year-end accounts ensuring statutory financial reporting for audit in line with SORP recommendations and requirements. Take the lead on liaising with auditors and the successful delivery of the audit.
Ensure the accuracy of payroll and pension including liaising with pension providers, HMRC and other agencies as appropriate.
Ensure VAT is managed, and returns are accurately prepared and submitted.
Maintain all financial records and systems to a high standard of accuracy (including addressing any discrepancies in reconciliations) in accordance with accounting principles, auditing standards and to meet external legal and tax requirements.
Uphold the regulations outlined in the General Authorities Manual, maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.
Ensure financial management systems are effective and implement changes as required.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
This role sits within the global communications team – part of the External Engagement directorate – at Girls Not Brides and will report to the Communications Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation to reach strategic audiences, shaping conversations around ending child marriage, and positioning Girls Not Brides and our members as thought leaders. This role will shape our engagement with media as key strategic influencers and partners to advance the ending child marriage agenda, with a focus on global and cross-regional outlets.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to engage media in order to influence powerholders and to shape the global and cross-regional narrative around child marriage. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely response to breaking news, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and processes.

About the role
As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build impactful partnerships and contribute towards systems change.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may have ‘complex needs’; with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time. You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and Housing Led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.
