Community Engagement and Fundraising
Proactively seek new 'in aid of' supporters in the local community including local companies, schools and clubs
Build relationships and steward local community groups, memberships and associations to encourage ongoing engagement

What we’re looking for
An experienced Legacy and In Memory fundraising or marketing professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing campaigns aimed at creating legacy awareness, securing legacy pledges and increasing in memory donations for the Macular Society.
You’ll be familiar with and comfortable analysing data and insights that inform decision making and approaches towards legacy and in memory marketing, ensuring these activities are well targeted and effective, using a range of channels.
Once secured, you’ll also be passionate about providing the best possible supporter care and experience, bringing people closer to the cause and encouraging ongoing support.
Leading a team of two experienced Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Officers, you’ll support this talent by providing opportunities for learning and development and will embed a positive culture of high support and challenge.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to CAVA’s Health and Wellbeing Manager to support the delivery of the community engagement aspect of the REN Workplan which is identified through the REN Working/Steering Group. - Support the REN Working and Steering Groups with communications and marketing activities with various stakeholders (including with: VCFSEs; potential and existing volunteer Community Research Champions; updates to funders; and for various communication channels of the ICS)
- Support gathering of examples of good practice and presenting these case studies in various formats
- Support the team with gathering intelligence, and liaising with VCFSEs about capturing and sharing in an Engagements and Insights Atlas the research opportunities and learnings from across Coventry and Warwickshire
- Champion VCFSEs involvement in using their knowledge and understanding of issues related to addressing inequalities and under-representation, and improving health
- Support the REN with writing monitoring reports
- Circulate relevant material and agendas and take notes from virtual and in-person meetings

Report to: Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering
Responsible for: Leading the food distribution service and quality assurance at Hackney Foodbank’s allocated Food Distribution Centres located across the borough of Hackney. This includes ensuring all our visitors have a positive experience when collecting their food parcels and are signposted to other provisions appropriately; being responsible for directing the volunteers, working closely with the Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering, Health and Safety, and promoting best practice at each centre. About the role:
Supporting someone at the end of their life is not just about providing medical care. As part of the Compassionate Communities agenda, our Hospice Neighbour project brings together our patients with people from their local community who provide simple social and practical support for a few hours each week.
The Hospice Neighbour Coordinator role makes this happen! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing this important service. They’ll act as a single point of contact providing timely advice and guidance for project volunteers, facilitate bi-monthly volunteer support group sessions and build relationships with both internal and external referral partners. You will understand asset-based community development and have insight and experience of the issues that affect an individual at end of life. Accountabilities
There are three main activities within the France team:

You will support the France team as needed and have specific responsibilities for identifying and onboarding students at business schools, engineering schools and universities across France, both online (social media, email marketing, webinars) and offline (in-person campus events and sponsored events). You will also play a key role in executing our social media strategy and managing our presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall administration of student events, ensuring exceptional communication and coordination.
- Event management, student and partner communication, and coordination of all relevant stakeholders.
- Posting job opportunities on our student portal and creating content for our newsletter.
- Managing student queries and maintaining relationships.
- Coordinating outreach programmes and managing our Student Ambassador network.
- Identifying and onboarding students, managing relationships with academic institutions and partners.
- Maintaining working documents, event calendars, and reports.
- Thinking creatively to improve outreach programmes and manage social media platforms.
Quality Assurance

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recruitment, marketing and logistics of Manchester Marathon, Great North Run and Royal Parks Half Marathon within the National Events portfolio.
