KCLSU is looking for a Student Voice Coordinator work within the Student Voice team to coordinate the development and delivery of representation practices, and embed these processes across KCLSU’s Community Engagement Department and our student voice partnership work with King’s College London. This will be focused on Student Futures, a large-scale transformation portfolio King’s College London is undertaking.
Student Futures aims to improve student experiences in key areas across the next three years. ENHANCING REPRESENTATIVE PROCESSES
• Act as central point of contact for colleagues across King’s and KCLSU for centralising and sharing information about student voice and representation structures related to Transformation Office projects;
• Set up and oversee systems for the management of student representative data between KCLSU and various King’s project teams;
• Ensure that all areas of student representative recruitment, induction, and support are conducted smoothly;
• Record student attendance and other participation data to support evaluation processes and ensure appropriate remuneration;
• Support the payment of remuneration and/or incentives to student participants where required, working with the KCLSU Finance and relevant King’s teams to ensure this is appropriately administered and recorded.
ORGANISING REPRESENTATION PRACTICES

Purpose of the Job
The Dad Matters coordinators deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at male parents in the First 1001 Days. They support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways.
The post holder will:
- Build on the Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest foundation of peer support by engaging and supporting dads in one to one and group situations.
- Ensure that parent – infant relationships are a thread through every relationship and conversation with dads.
- Raise awareness of the risks of poor mental health for fathers and their families during the perinatal period
- Raise awareness of the impact on fathers of caring for a partner affected by perinatal mental health issues
- Develop the Dad Matters volunteer role
- Develop close links with other health and voluntary agencies
- Facilitate regular consultation with fathers through outreach and focus groups
Main Responsibilities
Support to Dads
The post holder will provide individual and group support to dads during the perinatal period. This will involve the following:
- Meeting dads at ante-natal clinics
- Facilitating or co-facilitating ante-natal Dad Chats in person and online
- Supporting the developments of support offered to dads with children on NICU and those with partners in receipt of care from Perinatal Mental Health teams, Adult Mental Health, IAPT and Parent Infant Mental Health teams
- Signposting and supporting access to other services as appropriate
- Undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
- Ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of work

Promotion & Awareness Raising:

As the Philanthropy Lead, you will be responsible for generating income from new relationships with high-net-worth individuals and trusts and foundations. Focusing on securing six and seven figure gifts from high value donors, this role will look to achieve this through new relationships. With some exciting projects and campaigns upcoming, there will be some excellent and tangible engagement points to interact with donors on. With support from the team and a prospect research function, this role will truly get to focus on lead generation and relationship building.
To be successful as the Philanthropy Lead you will be experienced in building upon existing and new relationships with high-net-worth individuals or trusts and foundations. You will be able to demonstrate securing gifts or income from individuals of a six or seven figure level. This person can come from a commercial background, but ideally they will have some understanding of the charity sector or fundraising.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices one day per week. The salary for this role is £60,000 to £65,000.

The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.
As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing sensitive therapeutic support.
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic counsellor/psychotherapist to offer therapeutic support to members of Project Indigo, our LGBTQIA+ youth group. The counsellor will make a positive impact and expand Project Indigo’s offer to include 1-to-1 counselling, including sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.
Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.
Main Responsibilities:
· You will provide affirmative therapeutic support to our LGBTQIA+ young people who identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella or are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity; including 1-to-1 therapeutic support, sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.
· You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing a safe, confidential and affirmative therapeutic space for our members; supporting young people with a range of difficult life and/or mental health issues, which may include bereavement, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma.
· You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of issues facing young LGBTQIA+ people, in particular trans and gender diverse people, and will have clinical experience working with this group.
· You will maintain an understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as intersectionality and the multiple oppressions faced by our diverse group members, in particular racialised, neurodivergent and/or trans and non-binary people.
· You will address the diverse needs of our young people by maintaining an intersectional and person-centred approach.

· You are BACP /UKCP (or equivalent) registered with proven experience of working affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ young people in a clinical setting and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of how to support LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
We’re looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join us on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Your role in the team will be to support the organisation by pinpointing the health policy and practice changes that will give men access to the best diagnosis, treatment and support.
You’ll develop evidence-based and patient-experience-informed policy positions that support the delivery of our strategic direction. You’ll horizon scan to identify relevant external health policy developments across the four UK nations and advise and support teams around the organisation with information on external policy developments, identifying routes to achieve change.
Additionally, you'll produce evidence-led policy reports and briefings, advising teams on external policy developments and identifying opportunities for change.

We believe sport and physical activity can build resilience, support and enable mental health recovery, and tackle mental health stigma. We have a track record of delivering impactful programmes with Sport England, the English Football League (EFL), ASICS and many other partners.
As Physical Activity Lead, you will lead on the implementation of our physical activity programmes focusing on marginalised communities. This work explores how physical activity can support the mental health of people from racialised communities and people facing poverty.
You will manage our existing partnerships with Sporting Equals, Muslim Sports Foundation and England Boxing. Your will also identify and build new partnerships, particularly with organisations who support people from the African and Caribbean Community.
Throughout the role, you will engage people from marginalised communities to inform and influence our work. This will include working with our Lived Experience Advisors who shape our marginalised communities' work.

-Provide consultancy support to organisations working with marginalised communities through our Embedding mental health in sport and physical activity: our jigsaw approach subject to capacity and strategic fit. The scope may include, but is not limited to auditing mental health provision, supporting strategy or policy development, providing content for resources or delivering workshops.
-Engage with people from marginalised communities including people from racialised communities and people fighting poverty, to ensure lived experience engagement within our physical activity programme delivery and wider policy work. This includes working with our Lived Experience Advisors to shape our work.
-Lead on the promotion of Mind's Sector Support Universal Offer through developing a promotional plan and coordinating the team's attendance at events and communications to promote resources, working closely with the Physical Activity Coordinator.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of People & Finance, the Head of Finance will oversee financial activities in the charity with the support of a team of two. The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial management, planning, and reporting functions to ensure the charity's fiscal health and compliance with regulatory standards. This role takes responsibility for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, forecasting, and financial risk, as well as ensuring accurate financial records and reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. The Head of Finance works closely with SLT to align financial planning with the charity's mission and business plan, provides financial insights for decision-making, and ensures that funding is managed efficiently to maximise impact. Additionally, they line manage the finance team and liaise with auditors, HMRC, pension bodies and fundraising stakeholders as required.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities:
Strategic Purpose:
- Oversee the financial operations of the charity
- Implement robust internal financial controls and compliance with the Charity’s accounting/finance policies and procedures
- Responsibility for compiling annual budgets, 3-yr forecasts (budgets, cashflows, reserves)
- Provide strategic advice to the trustees on all aspects of finance and taxation
Engagement:
- Collaborate with HR to ensure delivery of payroll
- Act as first POC with the bank for all banking matters
