As a small, place-based charity, we often find ourselves responding in dynamic ways to local need, whether of the children and young people in Ealing, or the grassroots charities who form our membership. This role would suit someone who gets excited about approaching opportunities in innovative ways and moving quickly to enact these. 

Our Ealing Young Champions programme has been developed over the last four years, and we have secured multi-year funding to run projects designed to engage and empower local young people to advocate for practical solutions to address the issues that they and their peers face. Whilst a core group has been established over time, the way the project is run will be set by the successful applicant according to their own experience of working with young people.

We are also about to begin an exciting new project, taking over a local Library and developing it as a hub for services for children, young people and families in Greenford, alongside a core library offer for the local community. The appointed person will be instrumental in engaging with local young people to ensure they have a say in how the building and services within it are developed.

Main Purpose of the role:

1. Manage the planning, recruitment and delivery of our Ealing Young Champions Youth Voice project

2. Advocate for and embed youth voice into the work of partners, stakeholders and members and identify new opportunities to develop youth voice and co-production programmes

3. Work with colleagues to set a strategy for embedding co-production in YEF’s organisational practice

4. To provide project management and support on youth engagement with the Greenford Library project

The Head of Family Service will encourage parent and carer engagement in consultation and participation activities, work effectively with a multidisciplinary team of external professionals, and establish and maintain close operational relationships with schools, family hubs, social care and health services. 

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of Special Education Needs and Disabilities and the challenges to navigate education, health and welfare systems. Peer Support Group Development Officer - Midlands Area

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
• Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.

• Training and Development: Develop and deliver tailored training programmes for volunteers based on the specific needs of Group Leaders and Organisers. Set up regional forums for sharing best practices and peer networking. Encourage use of Members Portal to share good practice.

Skills and Qualities Required:

Job Purpose

We have an opportunity to fill a brand-new role within our charity for our new perinatal project supporting the partners of birthing parents.

We are looking for an outreach worker, to work alongside colleagues in the Perinatal Mental Health Service team at West London NHS Trust to:

• Identify and provide support for adult non-birthing parents, where the birthing parent is open to WLNT PMHS.
• Provide individual assessments, peer support groups and signposting to partners.
• Promote the mental health and well-being of partners/significant others.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the HFEH Mind Service Manager.
• Work with the West London NHS Trust Perinatal Mental Health team to promote the Perinatal Support for Partners service and create marketing materials.

Salary on appointment: £41,400 - £45,540 per annum*

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £41,400 to £62,100. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of 10% above the base salary, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Purpose of Role

The Strategic Campaigns Manager will lead the development and execution of impactful campaigns to elevate Ramblers' profile, political influence, and engagement across England, Scotland, and Wales. Working closely with Directors, Policy & Public Affairs Managers, and the Communications team, this role is pivotal in advancing our advocacy goals and expanding supporter engagement.

The role will position Ramblers as the foremost authority on walking and access and a respected political influencer.

This position plays a crucial role in influencing public perception and achieving business outcomes through strategic communication and marketing efforts. The role holder will focus on developing campaigns that unite issues that affect the whole of GB turning political advocacy into engaging and powerful campaigns. They will also support the broader communications team to implement locally focused advocacy and public affairs campaigns for England, Scotland or Wales where appropriate

Key responsibilities

Campaign strategy development:

• Design and execute integrated strategic campaigns that support our shared public affairs objectives across England, Scotland & Wales to deliver meaningful impact against a common change agenda
• In collaboration with colleagues, identify key issues and opportunities for advocacy, fundraising, and membership growth including where appropriate commissioning research that will create campaign engagement by addressing evidence gaps and opportunities

Campaign management:

• Work closely with the broader communications team to develop strategically aligned messaging and campaign assets and to deliver these across owned, earned and (where relevant) paid channels.
• Lead on the creation of compelling campaign assets (e.g. reports, polls, toolkits) to ensure our message reaches a wide audience.
• Project manage campaigns including managing timeframes and budgets, mobilising other teams, seeking collaboration opportunities with external partners, setting and measuring KPIs

Cross-functional collaboration:

• Work closely with membership, and fundraising teams to integrate campaign efforts. Support Policy & Public Affairs colleagues to develop impactful policy briefings, position papers and fact sheets. 
• Support the broader communications team to implement strategically aligned locally focused advocacy and public affairs campaigns for England, Scotland or Wales where appropriate
• Collaborate with volunteers, supporters, and stakeholders to amplify campaign reach and impact.

Data analysis and reporting:

• Monitor and analyse campaign performance using key metrics and data insights.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to inform future campaigns and strategies.

Advocacy and public relations:

• As required and agreed with colleagues, represent the Ramblers in public forums, media, and with key stakeholders to advance campaign objectives.

Budget management:

• Manage campaign budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Track expenditures and report on budgetary outcomes.

Innovation and improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness.
• Implement feedback and lessons learned to refine and improve campaign strategies.

• Undertake such other duties as may be required of the post.

The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils.  The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding.  More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.

You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School.  Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians.  Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.

You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures.  Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success.  The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility.  This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground.  You will need to be proactive, enterprising and systematic in approaching funders, and be able to engage and manage internal stakeholders.

This is a permanent position, working 9.00am until 5.30pm 4 or 5 days per week.  Some flexibility will be required to attend evening and weekend concerts and events at YMS and in London.
