In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients, many of whom have experienced homelessness, addiction, or involvement in the criminal justice system. You will provide tailored employability advice, one-to-one support, and deliver workshops aimed at helping clients develop the skills and confidence they need to rebuild their lives.
You’ll support with our LEAP project, providing a crucial stepping stone for clients in the early stages of recovery. By collaborating with partner agencies and working alongside our Peer Navigators, you’ll ensure clients receive the comprehensive support they need.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete initial assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans ensuring a high standard of case management.
- Work with a caseload of people who have experience of homelessness, addiction, and/or the criminal justice system that want to improve their chances at moving into training, education and employment.
- Provide employability advice and a range of interventions with the aim of supporting them to improve their employability, access training, volunteering, and move towards employment.
- Lead on and develop the Good Shepherd structured volunteering programme for people in early stages of their recovery journey.
- Work with Peer Navigators from our LEAP team to provide additional support.
- Signpost and make referrals to external agencies and build positive working relationships with partner agencies across the city.
- Deliver one to one’s, workshops and group sessions.
- Collect, collate, and interpret data that is required to report on the outcomes achieved through this work.
- Record and update service user activity in line with GS Confidentiality Policy.
- Maintain a high level of professional boundaries in line with GS Safeguarding Policy.
- Observe all Health and Safety regulations related to the role and comply with GS Policies and Procedures.

Our Young Person’s Sanctuary offers a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment outside of normal school hours for those aged 14 – 18 who are approaching crisis or feel in mental distress or crisis. The role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area. The role will be part of a larger Young Persons Sanctuary team made up of YPS Youth Mental Health Workers, YPS Manager and volunteers.
Job Purpose
To support young people aged 14-18 to deescalate crisis and improve their mental health and wellbeing, through focussed 1:1s and structured crisis interventions.
Job Description
Service Delivery
- Deliver crisis focussed 1:1s and ensure outcomes which supports young people experiencing a mental health crisis in Milton Keynes, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed crisis service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
- Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process and undertaking 1:1s.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by the Manager in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).
- Carry out responsibilities as directed by the Manager for the collection, updating, monitoring and reporting of service data in line with Mind BLMK’s contract and systems requirements and procedures
- Attendance to mandatory reflective practice is required for this role. It occurs once every six weeks for one and a half hours.

Join Waythrough as a Recovery and Connect Worker and you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the support services and opportunities they need to improve their quality of life and ensure that their mental health is improving.
Chester and Wirral pathway is a community based project that will assist people in hospital ready for discharge home from mental health inpatient settings .
Your role will be in supporting patients in various hospital settings to overcome the barriers to them leaving hospital . This will include being part of MDT meetings , housing and benefits support ,utility reconnection, identifying housing and a package of 12 week support upon discharge from hospital . Ideally candidates will have good housing experience . This is an agile role that will require travel between hospitals and the community .
Your challenge will be to support individuals with complex mental health needs to feel in control of their care, access mental health support and other local opportunities and build their emotional resilience. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with mental health concerns, formulating support plans and establishing positive relationships with a range of multidisciplinary organisations.
You’ll need a significant understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working within a mental health setting where you dealt with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively. A good understanding of recovery and coproduction is important too, as is a proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately. Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities on time, you have a flexible attitude to working hours and, above all, keen to be part of something new and worthwhile that will change lives.

Main Tasks and Duties
- Offer a welcoming and non-judgemental environment to all service users and visitors upon their arrival at the SARC.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team, for example liaising with the police and forensic medical examiners regarding the SARC process.
- Provide confidential advocacy support for all clients accessing the SARC service in line with national guidelines, SARC best practice and contractual obligations.
- Provide information to enable clients to make informed decisions in relation to the self-referral option, medical care, forensic examination, making a police report and onward referrals.
- Ensure strategy discussions take place prior to the forensic examination with police, forensic doctor, paediatrician and any other relevant agencies to ensure the best care and outcome for the client, where appropriate.
- Produce clear and accurate records for each referral and ensure its secure storage, and to accurately record information on client databases and case management systems.
- Support the efficient collection of data for audit purposes.
- Assist with the collection and storage of forensic samples, ensuring continuity and chain of evidence are maintained.

You will be working in a supportive, friendly, and welcoming team whilst having oversight of a caseload of women, who may be under the supervision of the National Probation Service or in custody, enhancing the offer of holistic support and advocacy services available to them throughout their journey.

To carry out this work you will meet women in the community in your designated borough and co-locate with other agencies including the National Probation Service, as well as regularly attending Advance’s North London vibrant Women’s Centre/office space.
You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder and has good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Service which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse victims and their children.
The Early Interventions Team act as the gateway for all domestic abuse and referrals to the Wiltshire Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the EI Triage Advisor will:
- Triage referrals, with a particular focus on domestic abuse referrals.

Working with vulnerable people and risk management:
