Responsibilities of our Lead Developer:
- Assist in the development of new systems including designing, implementing, maintaining and updating systems
- Drive the full life cycle of software development in an Agile fashion within the scrum process
- Create low-level design specifications and implement these
- Amending and refactoring of moderately complex programs / scripts
- Undertake hands-on coding and carry out regular code reviews and provide feedback
- Ensure all assigned development work, upgrades and support requests are dealt with
- Assess new technologies as they become available and determine where they might support the work of the organisation
About the Solution Delivery team:
- The Solution Delivery team sit within the IT Department as the group responsible for new software development, configuration and deployment, including 3rd line support.
- Formed of 9 individuals with a variety of backgrounds and skills in the Microsoft stack, the team tackle challenges from small new websites to multi-year projects to replace software systems
What we’re looking for in our Lead Developer:
- Achieved proficiency in programming/software development or gained experience in another development skill involving system implementation and comprehensive training in programming
- Extensive .Net development experience, preferably using agile methodology
- Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into a set of user requirements
- A good understanding of information systems concepts and practice and the software development life cycle
- Experience of designing systems and communicating that design, providing direction to others to implement the design, and monitoring/following up progress against targets
- A customer-focused individual who can communicate at both the technical and non-technical level
- A self-starter with evidence of analytical ability and attention to detail
- Someone who is confident to work with a remote development team across the UK
- Someone who is confident to work with developers and other skilled professionals from outside the organisation
- Experience in managing projects from start to finish, ideally on a broad spectrum of projects

Key Responsibilities:

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced social worker to join our Central Support & Social Care Team. This is a fully home-based team providing tailored support to children and young people with cancer across the UK, over the phone and via digital channels. The team works alongside our social work teams in hospitals across the UK.
A key remit of the team is to provide support to our hospital-based social work teams during periods of reduced capacity or a spike in referrals. So as well as 17.5 core hours each week, this postholder will be expected to undertake additional hours as and when required. Support carried out for hospital-based teams will also be over the phone or via digital channels - you won't be expected to travel to the hospital site.
This is an exciting time to join us as we look to grow and maximise the potential of volunteers within the team.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application an enhanced criminal record check will be completed. This role is also subject to a Social Worker Registration.
What do I need?
You will be committed to delivering high quality social work support to promote the best outcomes for the children, young people and families we work with. You will have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England/ Scottish Social Services Council/Social Care Wales/Northern Ireland Social Care Council
- Experience working with children, young people and their families/carers in a social care setting.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in an NHS setting.
- Experience of delivering support to young people and families via different mediums including including over the phone and/or digital channels
- An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and their families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Purpose of Role
IBP seeks a Director of Fundraising to drive our organization's resource development and financial sustainability. Working at the highest levels of the organization, this leader will develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure multi-year, multi-million-dollar commitments from major international donors. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success in diversifying revenue streams and building strategic partnerships, along with the ability to both envision ambitious fundraising goals and execute detailed plans to achieve them.
As a key member of the senior team, the Director will provide strategic leadership while managing hands-on fundraising activities, mentor a dedicated fundraising team, and coordinate closely with the Executive Director, Executive Team, Country Directors, Initiative Managers and Advisory Council. Primary Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy Development and Execution (50%)
- Setting Fundraising Strategy and Vision: Develop and implement a data-driven fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s broader strategic goals. Set ambitious yet achievable financial targets and ensure alignment across teams.
- Prospecting: Design and execute tailored strategies for identifying, soliciting, and stewarding institutional and individual funders.
- Proposal Development: Lead the creation of compelling funding proposals, pitches, appeals, and other materials to secure funding in collaboration with initiative managers.
- Building and Maintaining Networks: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals, bilateral governments, foundations, and philanthropic groups.

Donor and Stakeholder Engagement (25%)
- Donor Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full donor lifecycle, from acquisition and engagement to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Board Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for fundraising with the board of directors and Advisory Council
- Crisis and Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for fundraising, including planning for economic downturns, donor withdrawals, or reputational risks.
- Engagement Strategies: Collaborate with program teams to design personalized donor engagement strategies, such as tailored reports, briefings, and impact updates identifying clear roles for staff across the organization that is involved directly and indirectly in fundraising efforts.
Direct and Indirect Team Management (25%)
- Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Oversee the fundraising budget, ensuring resources are allocated to high-impact activities based on data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations to ensure proper handling of donations, reporting and forecasting.
- Team Building and Development: Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing fundraising team, setting clear roles, responsibilities, and success metrics. Work with the fundraising working group and staff across the organization to strengthen fundraising activities.
- Performance Management and Reporting: Track and report fundraising performance metrics to executive leadership and the board, using analytics to optimize outcomes.
- Developing Internal Talent: Mentor fundraising and program staff in relationship management, donor communications, and strategic planning, while fostering leadership development.
- Building Cross-Functional Capacity/Culture of Philanthropy: Equip senior leaders and program teams with the knowledge and tools to contribute to fundraising efforts, including impact reporting and donor engagement training.

About the role:
Working as a key member of the practice team, the Practice Advisor’s role is primarily to support and work alongside sites in the delivery of interventions from the three core strands of our work, to ensure they are delivering high quality interventions in line with the Drive Partnerships model and Respect standards. Tasks include training, quality assuring cases, and supporting and in some cases supervising the service managers and/or team leads in the continued development of their teams. It also includes being a key member of local forums and working with other members of the Drive Central team, local commissioners and local Drive partners, who are often Police Staff, local authorities and local voluntary sector provider, to think about the long-term development and sustainability of the projects.
The Practice Advisor supports new areas and services to mobilise and then works closely with them to ensure they are operating with fidelity to the model and to establish excellent practice. They will also be required to work with the key multi agency partners such as Police, IDVA and social care that are essential in making the project work.
The Drive Partnership is always trying to learn from delivery, and it is important that the Practice Advisor is able to identify themes that emerge across the sites they are supporting. Practice Advisors, alongside the different delivery strands managers, the deputy director and other members of the Drive Central Team look at ways to take these themes forward, continuously developing the models to ensure what is being delivered is best practice and compliments other strands of work such as national policy and systems change.
The Practice Advisors generally support multiple sites at once so need to be able to multitask and build effective communication across teams both internally and externally.
