About Us
The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategic Vision 2029 sets out our vision for the future, shaped around five priority areas: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; and an international community that services the world. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.
Within the Social Mobility & Widening Participation Department we believe all young people should be able to have high expectations for their future. This means equal access to education and career opportunities. We run programmes that aim to empower young people from under-represented backgrounds to access and succeed at university.
We are part of the Students & Education Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King’s students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King’s faculties to do so.
About The Role

The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. They will also be involved in a range of other challenging projects run across the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Department.
This role will co-lead on the delivery of K+, supporting participants on our arts, humanities and social science pathways. K+ is King’s flagship widening participation programme for sixth form and college students. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive range of events for Year 12 participants as part of non-residential Spring and Summer Schools. This will involve working collaboratively with schools and teachers within Greater London and King’s target regions, King’s faculties and with corporate and charity partners.
The post holder will work closely with the wider Post-16 Programmes team, student ambassadors and key partner staff. This role is responsible to the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking for a career with social impact, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in working with young people. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in project management and stakeholder engagement.
We encourage applications from candidates who have experience from both within and outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
This is currently a hybrid working role with both work from home and on campus, with a minimum of 2 days a week based in the office at the Strand or Waterloo campuses.
This is a delivery-focused role which requires a substantial amount of time on campus delivering activities for young people. Regular evening and weekend work is required for this role, as well as delivering Easter and Summer schools during school breaks.

Mothers’ Union is a global Christian movement working to transform lives, strengthen families and advocate for change.
Active for nearly 150 years and now with 4 million members in 84 countries, our development programmes have extraordinary reach and an approach that is in line with best practice – our members serve in their local communities, have strong established relationships, and are there for the long term. They see what is needed, where it is needed and work as volunteers to help others. This local knowledge, combined with their Christian faith perspective enables transformation in the communities they serve.
Our programmes, which take an Asset Based Community Transformation approach, are focused around the three pillars identified by our members of stopping violence (especially gender-based violence), poverty and injustice.
We now seek a Director of Global Programmes to build on the excellent work to date to ensure there is consistency in approach, and that the local teams have the necessary capability and capacity in place to deliver to time, quality and budget. Our desire is to do this without losing the relational and member-led approach we have always taken, and to extend the work into more countries.
This will require a best-in-class development leader with a mature Christian faith, the ability to shape culture and convert vision into operational strategies that enable growth. You will be a brilliant team builder and collaborator who balances trust and accountability and you will likely have experience of working in a networked organization, with and through volunteers.

About Us:

This role will have lead oversight of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), working cross organisationally to create a dynamic, aspirational, and ambitious DEIB culture both within the SOR/COR and amongst SOR member workplaces.
We are creating a culture that reflects the diversity of the world around us and where employees & members have confidence and ability to challenge discrimination and structural barriers to inclusion throughout the profession, in workplaces, education and radiography practice.
Working inter-departmentally, with colleagues, networks and members, this role will develop a long term DEIB strategy that supports our strategy and embeds DEIB into everything we do, with a strong focus on collecting, analysing and using data to inform action plans and measure success. You will possess an empathetic understanding of issues around discrimination and marginalisation, coupled with a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, latest reports, and research relevant to the lived experiences of those from marginalised backgrounds or those with protected characteristics.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
We are committed to cultivating an inclusive and diverse workplace as we believe that this fosters creativity and innovation and is representative of the world around us, and everyone is eligible to apply.
