Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and creative Media Officer to enhance the visibility, reach, and impact of New Capital Consensus and Radix Big Tent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing media relations, crafting compelling content, and executing strategic communication campaigns to engage diverse audiences, including policymakers, business leaders, and the wider public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement media and communications strategies to promote the work of New Capital Consensus and, through it, Radix Big Tent.
- Write and distribute news releases, opinion pieces, blog posts, and social media content.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Strategy will be responsible for the day to day strategic operational scrutiny and reporting in order to meet the Bikeability Trust’s mission, contractual and legal obligations. This role is critical in the leadership of the Bikeability Trust as deputising for the CEO.
The Bikeability Trust’s purpose is to ensure that all cycle training is delivered to a gold standard, inspiring everyone to cycle with competence and confidence.

Role Summary
Into Film’s Product & Technology team incorporates best practices and technologies to drive solution-focused innovation for the organisation and our beneficiaries. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a youth activist charity that challenges the food system, on an initial 12-month FTC, full-time basis. As Finance Manager you will report into the Director of Finance and Operations and lead on the charity’s financial management, practices and policies.
Please note, this role can be worked either remotely within the UK or on a hybrid basis from the charity’s London office. If worked hybrid (2+ days per week) in the London office, candidates are entitled to an additional office allowance of £2,000 FTE per annum.

As Finance Manager, you will:
- Support the Director of Finance and Operations with financial reporting for the audit in line with SORP regulations

We are looking for an experienced strategic leader in health services influencing at a local and national level to lead a major new Fracture Liaison Service implementation programme to develop our existing local support offer into a systematic, national brokering effort which can be delivered at scale.
Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) are the world standard for preventing further life changing fractures once a person has suffered their first broken bone. We’ve succeeded in getting FLS mandated in England and Wales, and we are now poised to play an ambitious, pro-active role in the rollout of Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) in England and to work with services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to embed high quality FLS. This is an exciting new role to lead our work to support the roll out of universal, high quality FLS, preventing 74,000 fractures over the next five years, including 31,000 life-threatening hip fractures.
You will develop and manage an ambitious programme to influence and support the implementation of new FLS across the UK, developing and rolling out a major new FLS implementation programme to achieve 100% FLS coverage in England by 2030 ensuring FLS meet recognised quality standards.
Working with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and Health Boards, you will use data and analysis to make the case for FLS to local commissioners, providing the support and tools local clinical leaders need to secure agreement for implementing FLS in their area.
You will also lead the charity’s work with all nations around monitoring FLS delivery, and supporting improvement of existing FLS, to achieve recognized standards of good practice to achieve our aim of enabling access to high quality FLS for everyone regardless of where they live.

THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager (Partnerships) role is a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing partnerships with The Girls’ Network's corporate and public sector supporters. The programme is well established with £170,000 worth of partners already on board. There is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the work, developing new collateral and ideas for excellent partnerships. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. There is an opportunity for the post holder to collaborate with the Fundraising Manager (Trusts and Foundations) on the development of grant applications.
Key roles and responsibilities
Income generation
- Primary focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of £170,000 worth of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet annual income targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
- Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning (MERL).
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping (using SalesForce), ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
- Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, ensuring a consistent and good supporter experience and identifying opportunities for development.
- Ensure that all reporting and grant monitoring is delivered in a timely manner, working closely with the MERL Manager and colleagues across Programmes.
- Oversee calendar of third-party events, liaising with external partners and ensuring appropriate TGN involvement.
- Provide internal management information and reporting to the Head of Fundraising on a quarterly basis, or as required.
Stewardship
- Develop data management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
- Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
- Keep all relevant donor and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice, as defined by the Fundraising Regulator and other sector bodies.
- Work with Communications to ensure regular updates to website and other digital channels, identifying opportunities for partnership activities.
- Work with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications and CEO to deliver appropriate partner recognition including events and other engagement activities

Remuneration and time commitment

We directly engage 300+ deaf people each year: inspiring and supporting school-leavers to take their first steps into higher education; empowering graduates and employees to navigate the world of work with confidence; and connecting deaf people with each other to build community, tackle isolation, mobilise around key issues and break down barriers to learning and employment. Sharing and dissemination of our work (including online to reach the national community) goes on to engage far greater numbers.
Deaf Unity generates much of its income from providing interpreting and consultancy services and delivering training (British Sign Language and deaf awareness courses). This activity fully aligns with our charitable mission and generates essential unrestricted funding to support our wider activities. Income in the year ending December 2023 was £115,316, of which over 80% was generated from course delivery and interpreting services. That year we generated a surplus of £11,102.
Context for the commission
To date, deaf Unity’s programmes have been delivered entirely by a freelance team: CEO, administrator, tutors and project managers/coordinators leading on different streams of activity. We have recently recruited a Training and Operations Manager (freelance) to lead on training and interpreting services.
Activity continues to grow. Turnover in 2024 was c. £175,000 (final accounts are currently being produced), demand for courses is strong and we have had a successful year of fundraising.
Our activities engage a broad range of beneficiaries, participants and stakeholders: deaf students and employees; our local deaf community in London; and many different stakeholders – universities, employers and local councils – working with us to remove the barriers that disadvantage deaf people and prevent access to opportunity. We are proud of a track record of impactful interventions that have made a real difference in the prospects of deaf learners, jobseekers and employees.
This said, we have not reaped the full benefits of the partnerships and experience that have contributed to this success. A wholly freelance workforce means skills, knowledge, relationships and learning are regularly lost. We now wish to bring a core team into a salaried, PAYE structure to assure greater stability and continuity. We wish to invest in our people and demonstrate good employability practices, as champions of Deaf parity in the workplace. Specialist support is needed to ensure a good process, an affordable structure, and that appropriate systems, policies and structures are in place to support future work.
In late 2023, the Board of Trustees agreed a forward plan, setting out the charity’s objectives and the activities we plan to deliver over the next 3-5 years. Our work is guided by 5 high-level, strategic objectives. We aim that by 2028:
- Deaf Unity will have created in partnership with London schools a high-quality, effective careers advice pack/toolkit which can be accessed digitally by schools across the UK to inspire and support deaf learners on their FE/HE/vocational journey.

Deaf Unity will be providing a comprehensive package of support around employability, that is recognised and in use by 5 leading nationwide employers and by the National Union of Students (NUS).

The consultant will be required to lead and support Deaf Unity’s CEO and Board through a systematic approach to agreeing, implementing and embedding the new structure. We currently envisage that this will include:

A review of the functions, skills and competencies required to deliver Deaf Unity’s forward plan

Producing a proposed, costed staff structure, with salaries, rates of pay and conditions that are benchmarked against the sector and meet good practice e.g. in terms of Living Wage parity

Business planning to include producing a revised budget for 2025 (currently indicative only) and an indicative budget for 2026, based on current levels of activity/growth, to ensure that the new structure is affordable. (An in-depth business development process is planned for a later stage, separate from this commission)

A review of governance and existing policies

Support with the transition process e.g. ensuring that the moving of any freelance staff to salaried contracts is compliant with the law and with good employment practice

In late 2023, the Board of Trustees agreed a forward plan, setting out the charity’s objectives and the activities we plan to deliver over the next 3-5 years. Our work is guided by 5 high-level, strategic objectives. We aim that by 2028:
- Deaf Unity will have created in partnership with London schools a high-quality, effective careers advice pack/toolkit which can be accessed digitally by schools across the UK to inspire and support deaf learners on their FE/HE/vocational journey.

Deaf Unity will be providing a comprehensive package of support around employability, that is recognised and in use by 5 leading nationwide employers and by the National Union of Students (NUS).
- We will be hosting in London a highly respected, impactful annual event for deaf people in work that is reaching 100 deaf people each year, directly or indirectly

Deaf Unity will be able to evidence that the CIO is making a substantial positive difference in the lives of learners, students and employees - through quantitative and qualitative feedback including testimonials and case studies
- Our organisation will be stable, financially secure and resilient, supported by strong governance and management systems and effective partnership networks
This commission directly supports objective 4.
In parallel with this, Deaf Unity will work with an Organisational Development consultant to make the transition from a freelance to an effective and well-managed PAYE staffing structure for the organisation, with strong systems and policies embedded across our teams.
This programme of development activity is kindly funded by Trust for London.
In the course of the year Deaf Unity will also be working with a corporate partner offering pro-bono support to redevelop the website and advise on online course delivery.
Overview of role
The evaluation specialist will be required to support Deaf Unity’s CEO and Training & Services Manager in developing an appropriate evaluation framework and action plan to be applied across the breadth of the charity’s activities, with supporting materials (e.g. questionnaires; interview prompts; other approaches). This is in the context of projects that often serve the deaf community, where written responses to feedback forms/online surveys are not always appropriate.
The consultant will support the leadership team to put in place training (not included in the fee) and systems to ensure that freelance teams delivering Deaf Unity’s project and training activities have the necessary understanding, guidance and confidence to support effective monitoring and evaluation of these activities.
Elements of Deaf Unity’s work to be included in this framework are:

regular community activity: we are keen to assess e.g. the wellbeing and community-building aspects of Deaf Unity’s programmes

learners’ experiences of our training courses

formative evaluation: ensuring that new issues, lived experience and insights emerging through our regular community programmes feed into the charity’s plans and methodologies
We are keen to adopt relevant technology solutions to strengthen our evaluation systems and processes, and to integrate these with existing systems (e.g. CRM) wherever possible.
Schedule
We aim to start work on this evaluation project in April 2025, completing by end November 2025. We expect most of the work to be carried out in the first 4 months, with light-touch support thereafter. The evaluator will be required to work flexibly throughout this period and this will be negotiated with you on appointment, bearing in mind your other commitments.
Time commitment: Expected approx. 10 days in total

Join an ambitious international non-profit with high growth aspirations for a newly created Head of Finance role!
About the organisation
The organisation is a small but growing global non-profit with a mission to use the power of education to transform the lives of refugees, their communities and the world.
The organisation has developed the first accredited upper secondary level programme and qualification for out of school refugees and crisis affected youth. They also offer Changemaker Courses in areas such as Peace-building, Ethical Leadership, and Social Entrepreneurship.
Working with around 1,500 young refugees a year in learning centres in Jordan and Kenya, as well as with partners in Uganda and Malaysia, the organisation aims to drive systemic change and create lasting impact.
The non-profit was born in 2017 and now has a global and fully remote team of around 25 employees. Predominantly donor funded, with a current turnover of around £900k per annum, the organisation has secured some additional funding which will act as the catalyst for a new exciting phase of growth.
About the role
The organisation is seeking a Head of Finance on a permanent, part-time basis. The Head of Finance is a newly created position as the organisation seeks to create a fully functioning internal finance department as they aim to scale-up operations over the coming years.
The Head of Finance will play a transformative role in evolving and overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will also work closely with the Co-Executive Directors, senior leadership team, board of trustees and newly created finance committee to support the organisation’s mission and objectives by providing financial insights and guidance.
Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, managing donor funds, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and grant requirements in the UK and internationally, as well as developing and leading a brand-new finance team.
The role will be highly varied and would best suit someone who is passionate about international development and education, with a growth-mindset and a diverse range of finance skills. Additional duties may include developing financial pricing models and assisting with fundraising proposals.
The organisation currently uses Xero accounting software, with a payroll of 6 salaried employees plus a number of internationally based consultants.
The role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis for 4 days per week. The salary offered is £62,500 - £68,750 per annum FTE (£50,000- £55,000 for 4 days / 0.8 FTE) for UK based candidates. For candidates based outside of the UK, salary will be benchmarked against local context.

Key Requirements
● Fully-qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA accountant or equivalent experience (or equivalent qualifications/experience if outside of the UK)

● Strong understanding of charity accounting principles, charity regulations, and grant compliance, including SORP and restricted fund accounting
● Expertise in financial planning, modelling, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
● Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information
● Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a finance team
The role would be best suited to someone who is committed to making a difference to the lives of young refugees, with a strong grounding in charity sector accounting and international donor funding.
