We are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser with a background in securing income from charitable trusts and foundations to join our team to help Groundswell continue to create positive change in the lives of people, services and systems on their mission to tackle homeless health inequalities. Recently kicking off our new ‘Creating Positive Change’ strategy, coproduced by over 130 staff, volunteers, clients and partners, we have ambitious plans and a compelling model which in its simplest form promotes healthier lives and a better future for anyone who has experienced homelessness.  

The successful post holder will have experience in leading the development of well-written, compelling proposals and reports to charitable trusts and corporate foundations; demonstrating key relationship management skills to ensure all our funders feel part of Groundswell’s mission. You will be a flexible worker with strong organisational, research and written communication skills. You will pride yourself in collaborative working to ensure the most successful chance of securing income, whilst being a self-starter who can manage their own workload effectively.

The Role

This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Collaborating closely with the Director of Fundraising & International Partnerships, you will build strong relationships with existing funders in the UK and source and build relationships with new donors. You will play an active role in the fundraising team & across the organisation contributing to an exceptional working environment.

The Key Responsibilities

• Help meet RT and LYN fundraising targets, by:

1. Securing income streams from new UK donors, including through Grants & Trust income and individuals, through researching, approaching, and applying, and
2. Developing strong working relationships with existing UK donors, seeking opportunities for deeper partnerships and securing on-going giving where possible.

• Carry out insightful and informative research on new UK opportunities, and create impactful engagement strategies for potential new donors,

• Produce high quality, professionally written proposals, and application forms, which ensure the highest possibility of securing new funds.

• Produce timely, insightful, and impactful monitoring reports in accordance with donor requirements.

• Identify engagement opportunities to keep UK donors updated and informed on our work, including full or partial responsibility for our three key events each year: Experience Revitalise, Celebrate Revitalise, and Introduce Revitalise.
• Manage a small team in delivering the above.

The Right Candidate

• Significant fundraising experience, or a similar environment in raising funds to support an initiative, bringing in c. £2-3m in funds a year, including new funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, able to write excellent briefs and build highly effective relationships internally and externally with donors.
• Proactive, organised and solution focussed with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Experience of successfully leading a team and delivering a strategy.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal and wider team targets.
• Confident with MS Office and CRM Databases.

Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Youth Development Project Manager, you will support the development and delivery of opportunities for young people to engage in our work towards our collective goals. Working within the Network Delivery department, you will be responsible for organising and delivering a range of projects and workstreams to enable young people across the UK Youth and #iwill Movement to express their views, have them listened to and to create positive change. You will create positive relationships with young people, so that our work is driven by their voices and experiences, helping to develop and deliver a range of opportunities and activities to build and engage networks of young people. You will help empower young people to become active citizens and creative positive change, by creating innovative ways for young people to engage in various networks through volunteering, social action and campaigning projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the effective delivery of a programme of development and engagement activities with young people across the #iwill Movement

• Manage the scheduling and organisation of activities across project workstreams, ensuring project management processes are in place to enable excellent standards of delivery

• Facilitate young people to build their skills and confidence so that young people’s participation and contribution are maximised and able to express their views

•Support the growth of a diverse range of networks involving young people across all UK regions, including with our nation partners. Working in partnership, develop the networks to be outcomes-focused and self-led on digital platforms

• Develop relationships with a range of stakeholders which may include youth workers and leaders of youth organisations, young people, nation partners, funders, and cross-sector leaders to create and deliver an inclusive programme for young people

• Working closely with colleagues across the charity to co-ordinate a range of events and opportunities to provide opportunities for young people to engage and connect with the wider work of UK Youth

•Communicate the benefits of the UK Youth and #iwill Movement and progress against our priorities to organisations and individuals, through a variety of channels, updates and specific marketing campaigns

• Work with the Network Delivery function to support young people to be empowered to lead and share best practise and expertise

• Develop content on agreed digital platforms to engage and connect young people and networks across the UK

Experience we're after

• A nationally recognised youth work qualification or ability to demonstrate experience of frontline youth work delivery, understanding of safeguarding and data protection is highly desirable

As a key member of the Greenwich Hospital and Andrew Simpson Foundation teams, you will be responsible for developing the RN “Building Sports and Well-being for the Future” vision into a costed, designed and persuasive community hubs plan, followed by its implementation as an effectively managed transformational project delivering high-quality sports and community hubs.

Based within the Andrew Simpson Foundation, the role will drive strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery aligned with RN priorities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a disciplined and visionary self-starter to turn a vision into reality. ROLE SUMMARY:

The People and Culture (P&C) Business Partner drives the P&C operational effectiveness in Country Offices, facilitates organisational development and change and provides a framework for best people’s practice and quality standards. The P&C Business Partner also supports the organization in developing and implementing initiatives that encourage diversity, promote equity, and support psychological and physical safety of the workforce.

International travel including security high risk countries up to 6 times a year and extended screen time will be required. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Operational delivery (30%) 

• Provide advice and influence action on P&C global policies, and in collaboration with local P&C Specialists advice on local policies and employment law to staff and management based in Country Offices (COs). 
• Support the timely review of local policies and embed best practice, ensuring local needs and culture are reflected.
• Work with Chief People and Culture Office (CPCO), P&C Directors, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the Safeguarding Specialist, Global Directors of Country Offices and Logistics Manager to identity and mitigate people related risks in COs and prevent and resolve issues. 

Quality Assurance (20%) 

• Drive efficiency and quality assurance  of P&C operational practices in COs by conducting assessments and P&C Audits, and work with P&C Specialists and Country Directors (CDs) to enhance the employee experience, ensure consistency, continuous improvement and enhance People’s capacity in country. 
• Support CDs to ensure compliance and manage P&C risks as per country risk register and audits’ actions. 
• Contribute to the data gathering, analysis and presentation of P&C reports, to enable decision making Identifies trends, propose actions for improvement and instigate implementation. 

Employee Relations and Employee Services (30%) 

• Monitor the whistleblowing line and ensure timely action is taken in all complaints received related to COs. 
• Oversee and work with P&C and COs management on the prevention and effective resolution of employee relations issues and adherence to disciplinary procedures. Responsible for maintaining confidential records. 
• Conduct investigations and liaise with legal firms and/or investigators to resolve ER cases. 
• Identify trends and areas of concerns based on data channels i.e. surveys and exit interviews and proposes actions.

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organisation working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people.  Established in 1984, with an active presence in over 45 countries, we strive to make the world a better and fairer place for those affected by poverty, conflict and natural disasters. 

IRW’s International Programmes Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Faith Partnership Advisor (FPA)’ on a permanent, full time basis, to join its dynamic team based out of its offices in either Birmingham, London or where IR has an office globally. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working policy.

The purpose of the role:

The Faith Partnership Advisor will play a critical role within International Programmes Division (IPD) supporting the Divisions’ strategic objectives to consolidate its identity as an Islamic faith-based institution, leading our Faith Engagement Strategy, representing our approach to important multi-lateral and other institutions, ensuring the faith sensitivity and faith literacy of its programmes and securing funding for its global operations. The role will sit within the Programme Funding and Partnership Department (PFPD) within the IPD.

Building upon our many programme partnerships with other faith-based and non-faith-based actors, this role will forge new partnerships that build on the inspiring work we have developed in the areas of livelihoods, peacebuilding, forced migration, protection and gender justice. Working with major institutional donors, the Faith Partnership Advisor will form part of a collaborative team and manage the bid process from inception to submission on new programme initiatives. Specifically, the Faith Partnership Adviser will capitalise on the organisation’s faith-based approach to development. The Faith Partnership Advisor is expected to have extensive experience preparing bids which have a faith dimension to them, centred on the added value of Islamic Relief as a faith-based organisation and the industry’s need to have faith centric development and humanitarian approaches.

The successful candidate must have:

• A graduate degree or equivalent experience in development/humanitarian areas
• An in-depth understanding of international development issues
• An exceptional understanding of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic teaching, particularly pertaining to aid and development issues
• An awareness of the various funding mechanism that are available within the industry
• Exceptional command of English with the ability to edit, summarise and compile information quickly and often within short time frames
• An ability to speak publicly and communicate confidently within groups
• An ability to lead working groups and plan strategically
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and being versed with PowerPoint and Excel
• Track record of working in a similar role with an International NGO essential
• Proven ability to secure funding for Faith Partnerships
• Must have substantial experience of having worked on successful bids/partnerships which have a faith dimension
• Well versed and with proven capabilities of understanding the faith dimension of international development and humanitarian interventions.
• Demonstrated experience of working on multiple bids with various institutional donors

This exciting role is responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources, as well as HNWI. We are looking for an ambitious and strategic fundraiser with a proven track record of raising significant funds from charitable trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources as well as HNWI, who, alongside our existing team, will help to grow and develop this area of fundraising for the Macular Society. The post holder will have a proven eye for detail, an analytical nature, first class relationship management skills and a flair for writing successful applications.

Group FP&A Manager | £450 - £500 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | London | 6-months +

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group FP&A Manager who will coordinate and produce consolidated financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. The Group FP&A Manager will contribute to planning activity and data across Finance, working closely with Regional Finance Directors to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. This role will report to the Director of Group Planning and Reporting and will lead, manage, and motivate a Financial Planning Analyst. This role is for a minimum of 6-months and could be extended.

Main Duties:

• Provide a financial planning, forecasting and management reporting service in the UK, Regions, and international business units across Group level.
• Deliver monthly MI reports
• Coordination and delivery of annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly re-forecasts
• Support multi-year planning
• Tracking and forecasting of financial KPIs
• Support the Director of Group Planning and Reporting in preparing reports for Exec on reporting and planning deliverables
• Lead continuous improvement of processes across monthly close, financial commentary and analysis and cash-flow forecasting
• Ensure the MI and forecasts are fit-for-purpose during a period of transformation and change
• Play a key role in the implementation of a new planning and reporting tool as part of a global finance transformation programme
• Set planning and forecasting timetables for the organisation
• Work closely with the Head of Strategic Planning and coordinate with the UK and Regional finance teams to ensure alignment of all financial planning activity
• Support strategy in the collation and consolidation of 5-year planning
• Development and rollout of multi-year planning workbooks and processes
• Work closely with Shared Service Centre in India, supporting the FP&A team in-country
• Lead, manage and motivate one Financial Planning Analyst

The Role

Key responsibilities include working with the Program teams to develop reliable, actionable research on human capital challenges facing our government partners in Africa. You will research and identify vendors and consultants who can provide technical support, conduct desktop reviews for country scoping missions, and research and prepare briefings on partners, policies, demographics, and governance matters. The successful candidate will have excellent research, data and analytical skills having worked previously in a research role. You will have experience working in international development, public health, econometrics, data science or a similar field and will ideally have some experience of living or working within sub-Saharan Africa (although not essential). You will bring a strong work ethic and have excellent people skills, including communication and presenting skills. You will also have skills and experience working alongside external partners. It would be preferable for the successful candidate to have a graduate degree in econometrics, public health, data science, or a related field however we would also consider candidates who are qualified through their work experience.
