St Ann's Hospice is growing! Currently in the process of building a brand-new hospice in Heald Green, we're looking for someone with just the right blend of stewardship and new business skills.

This new role will build on the strengths of an existing and established Major Gifts fundraising programme to provide a significant contribution to the new build target, with plenty of sponsorship and naming opportunities still available.
We're looking for someone who can continue to nurture existing donors, with the exceptional stewardship they are accustomed to. But also spark the imagination of potential new donors, engaging them at an exciting chapter in the hospice's history, and start the journey to becoming loyal St Ann's supporters.
About the role
The role will begin with a focus on capital, but always one eye on future-proofing and long-term sustainability. This is a permanent role and very much viewed as part of the hospice's long-term fundraising strategy. You'll play a vital role in transitioning back from capital campaign to revenue, supporting the organisation to build a robust and sustainable philanthropy pipeline.
It's a lovely mix of stewarding existing relationships and building brand-new ones. You're comfortable and confident researching and developing new contacts, harnessing the power of existing networks. We'd also love to see you bring a positive 'new business' mindset and fresh approach to unlocking new potential.
About you
You're likely to be a seasoned philanthropy professional, ideally with a track record securing gifts at £50k+. You relish the chance to make asks at five and six figures and you'll love working closely with a well-connected and active Development Board.
There's also potential for an experienced fundraiser with transferable skills who can confidently and proactively deliver a new business development pipeline. Or perhaps a sales or business development expert looking to make a transition into the charity sector.
Whatever your background, you'll need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of philanthropy and what makes major donors tick, alongside the appetite and aptitude to new relationships from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development
- Assist in creating, implementing, and refining a comprehensive fundraising plan.
- Regularly contribute to the development of the organisational fundraising strategy, with a specific focus on individual donors and new fundraising opportunities.
- Stay current with fundraising opportunities and best practices, recommending changes in WECare's funding strategies to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
- Donor Engagement and Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and potential supporters.
- Support donor stewardship initiatives for all types of supporters, including individuals, corporate, major, and legacy donations, ensuring ongoing engagement, retention, and growth.
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement donor journeys that encourage long-term support from individuals and ensure high-quality ongoing communication with potential and existing donors.
- Ensure all individual donations are processed efficiently and supporters are thanked in a timely manner, maintaining a positive relationship that leads to increased donor retention.
Digital Fundraising
- Assist in driving online fundraising initiatives, including managing crowdfunding efforts and coordinating social media appeals.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the charity's website is updated with the latest fundraising activities and donation options, maintaining a dynamic and engaging online presence.
Trusts and foundations
- Support the Head of Fundraising with research and identification of grant opportunities relevant to WECare.
- Collaborate in preparing and submitting grant applications to trusts and foundations, including checking monitoring data, proofreading reports, and ensuring timely submission.
- Work with the team to implement corporate fundraising policies, ensuring that WECare can respond appropriately to fundraising approaches by companies.
Community Fundraising and Event Planning
- Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and the team to create and implement a comprehensive Community Fundraising Strategy.
- Plan, organise, and execute a diverse range of fundraising events, including supporter dinners, challenge events like the Great North Run, charity walks, auctions, and community fairs.
- Expand local support networks in both Sri Lanka and the UK.
- Organise occasional engagement events for supporters, further strengthening relationships and encouraging continued financial support.
- Coordinate with volunteers and staff to ensure seamless event execution and the achievement of fundraising targets.
- Manage and steward Challenge event (Great North Run) fundraisers through the WhatsApp group chat, fostering a supportive and motivated network.
- Work closely with the broader team to develop a Volunteer Fundraising Strategy.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, monitor income, and donor information on the charity database.
- Assist in developing and managing the new CRM system, including setting up and integrating a comprehensive database CRM platform and Mailchimp for effective donor communication and management.
- Ensure donor data is meticulously maintained, supporting the use of CRM tools to manage donor relationships effectively, including ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Contribute to the refinement and thorough documentation of new digital processes such as the Sponsor a Dog (SPAD) programme, ensuring clear guidelines and streamlined operations across all initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who’s not just passionate about our mission but also brings a can-do attitude and a bit of flair. You should be experienced in fundraising, event planning, and donor management, with a solid understanding of data protection regulations (we like to keep things safe and sound). You’re great with words, can whip up persuasive content in no time, and know your way around a CRM and platforms like Mailchimp.
But more than anything, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, dive into the world of charity work, and make a real difference in the lives of street dogs around the world and the communities that care for them.

A leading Multi-Academy Trust comprised of 11 primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands is seeking a minimum of 2 Senior Finance Business Partners for full-time, permanent roles.
With a salary of £55,000 per annum plus an excellent local government pension scheme, the roles will be largely onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering and onsite at the schools – either in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech.
The roles will involve producing management accounts and genuine strategic finance business partnering to a range of budget holders in schools – headteachers, senior leadership team members, catering and IT Managers etc. There may also be some budgeting and analysis at central Trust level in addition to working with the schools.
The role also involves costing and cost analysis, interpreting complex financial data, journal postings and assisting with year-end close.
Being a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is an essential criteria for these roles. Prior experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or from within the Education sector would be advantageous. Experience working with facilities, catering or IT budgets and departments would also be of interest – but not essential.
The roles are responsible for enhancing strategic financial analysis and insight to enable the understanding, of financial reporting on Trust performance to key stakeholders, including the Trust Executive Team, Heads of Professions and school leadership teams. The roles will ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resource, integrating finance and curriculum planning, allocating and managing finance in line with ESFA and academy handbook financial requirements.
The positions report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and do not line manage anyone.
Duties will include:
-Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across the Trust, ensuring KPIS, professional strategic financial advice and guidance is provided and applied effectively
-Ensure monthly reporting is accurate, fit for purpose and facilitates effective decision making at school and Trust level in conjunction with the requirements of the CFO and best practice
-Provide analysis and insight, linking financial reports to School and Trust strategies
-Provide ongoing higher-level support and guidance on financial matters to relevant stakeholders
-Support and advise budget holders on the development and submission of business cases as and when required, maximising the link and priority of good financial stewardship and front-line education delivery
-To undertake project- based work for specific projects and programmes
-Provide quality information as required for external bodies for example to the ESFA or the external auditors
-To undertake any other duties, commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required from time to time.
Candidate requirements:
-Fully-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA accountant essential
-Demonstrable experience in a similar Senior/Strategic Finance Business Partnering role – ideally dealing with multiple cost-centres and a diverse range of budget holders
-The ability to be hands-on and produce management accounts, journal entries etc
-Experience with costing / cost analysis
-Creative and pragmatic problem solver with the ability to interpret and present back on complex financial data
-The ability to work onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering on a Wednesday, and spend the rest of the week onsite at the allocated schools in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech (it may be possible to work from home 1 day per week)
-An interest in the Education sector is highly desirable

The Talent Set are delighted to be partnering with St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity to recruit a Head of Leadership Giving in a fast-growing Fundraising & Communications leadership team.
It’s a hugely exciting time for the Charity, with the appointment of a new CEO and Director of Income & Engagement to lead an ambitious period of growth. The Head of Leadership Giving will lead the strategic direction and expansion of the high-value giving portfolio. The team is on track to deliver £1.2m this financial year, with achievable plans to double income by 2027. This role has particular focus on optimising high-value support for the 100th Anniversary of the Charity’s BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026, including the set up and stewardship of an Appeal Board to develop key relationships connected to this unique and special campaign.
Key duties include:
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Income & Engagement to further develop and implement the leadership giving fundraising strategy, ensuring annual and longer term general and restricted income targets are achieved.
- Lead on the set up and stewardship of the Appeal Board for the BBC Radio 4 100th anniversary, aiming to optimise income and networking opportunities from partners and high net worth individuals connected to the wider Appeal.
- Develop strong internal relationships across fundraising, programmes and communications to create and develop compelling and effective long-term restricted funding opportunities to increase fundraising and deliver new multi-year income. This role will also work closely with St Martins partner organisations to identify funding opportunities aligned with the charity’s strategic plan.
- Oversee the development of a pipeline of funding applications and approaches across Trusts and Philanthropy to ensure existing and future funding needs are met from leadership giving sources.
- Take a lead role in establishing a compelling, future focused high value case for support that enables a dedicated Leadership Giving appeal in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026.
- Lead, motivate and manage an experienced Leadership Giving team of two, creating a positive and inspiring culture which empowers fundraisers to achieve their best while meeting or exceeding annual income targets.
We’re looking for the following skills & experience for this role:
- Extensive High-Value Fundraising experience, with tangible skills and knowledge in securing six figure donations across Major Donors and/or Trusts & Foundations.
- Experience in developing robust pipelines of new opportunities and successfully converting to grow long term, sustainable income
- First-class donor management skills, delivering outstanding stewardship for long-term, high value donors.
- Experience in developing and delivering strategy, plans and budgets and being able to monitor and evaluate progress.
- Experience leading, inspiring and managing a Philanthropy team, motivating and developing Fundraisers to deliver income targets and objectives.
- Experience of high value special events and cultivation programmes.
- Experience of setting up and/or stewarding a Development Board is highly desirable.

About the role
This coordinator role sits within our Mass Participation team in our Income Generation directorate. The role supports participants in mass participation events – both organised by third parties including the London Marathon or bespoke Shelter events including our Walk for Home event in December that you will have responsibilities for.
The focus of this fixed term coordinator role will be supporting the delivery of bespoke and challenge events at Shelter and supporting the Mass Participation Manager to deliver our 2024 Walk for Home event in London on the 3rd of December with 3000 walkers taking part. You will be playing an important part taking responsibility for several specific areas for the event in the lead up to and on the day itself.
From January you will be given the exciting opportunity to work on our busy spring third party programme, enabling delivery of events including London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Hackney Half and support the development of new bespoke products.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of mass participation events with the chance to be involved in event delivery, supporter stewardship and volunteer management for some of the most prestigious events in the charity calendar.
About you
Someone who enjoys collaborating and communicating with a variety of people, whether face-to-face, over the phone, by email, letter or via social media channels, you have great attention to detail and a proactive approach to everything you do.
Good time management and organisational skills are important for this role as there’s a lot to do, it’s important to be able to manage your time effectively. The team has a great positive attitude in supporting with this and can suggest different tools and methods to help you stay on top of your work.
You’ll also need to be able to get started quickly and enjoy being busy, especially in the lead up to Walk for Home on 3rd December where you’ll be crucial to the smooth running and success of the event. Being able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to be successful in this role.
You’ll be available to start no later than October 28th and have no more than 2 days consecutive annual leave booked before the 20th December. You’ll be available to work at Walk for Home on the 3rd December in the evening.

The Role
Deliver the Philanthropy and Special Events Strategy, in turn securing income from HNWIs.
Assist with the development and delivery of a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events in order to raise awareness of the cause, and help retain existing donors and engage new prospects.
Build, manage and maintain a portfolio of donors from 5,000 gifts upwards, stewarding relationships to ensure donor satisfaction and long-term financial commitment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Fundraising to identify major donor prospects and opportunities to maximise donor experience.
The Candidate
Experience of relationship management and development, including delivery of high quality supporter care.
Proven experience in philanthropy fundraising having personally secured five figure gifts from a major donor
Proven ability to proactively seek and secure new prospects

We are recruiting for an exceptional Director of Fundraising to drive forward a comprehensive fundraising strategy, build relationships with our warm supporters, and inspire our fundraising team of paid staff and volunteers.

- Someone who will be excited to use their third-party event skills and experience to help improve care and support for young people facing cancer across the UK.

The role of the Company Secretary involves the following key components, supported by all Trustees, staff, active volunteers and wider RUSS team:
- Overseeing the roles and activities of Board members and volunteers to ensure that RUSS is keeping in line with its responsibilities as a charitable trust

We are a small, growing charity, founded in 1997, with an expenditure budget of roughly £570,000 for the year ahead. This year we worked with 200 people offering compassionate, long term and holistic support including: a warm welcoming Centre in Islington; an Online School teaching English and offering activities to promote wellbeing; digital inclusion; grants to people in destitution and our Support Service which offers advocacy and advice to people on accessing housing, healthcare and legal advice.
About the role:
The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. You will be part of a small and highly committed fundraising team of three including the existing Head of Fundraising and Communications, our Fundraising Officer and yourself. Overall purpose
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.
As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.
You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.
You will be:
- a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,
- a keen collaborator, working closely with colleagues in our Services directorate to deliver high impact employability programmes for our refugee clients, and with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Public Engagement to identify and drive cross-fundraising opportunities,
- an outstanding communicator, comfortable and confident in your ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the worlds of CSR, DEI and employability, and across the private, public, and third sectors representing Breaking Barriers at a senior level.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.
