Vision

An excellent, high profile independent local charity working in partnership to see an end to homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty in our communities.

Mission

To prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.

Values

Whilst our Vision and Mission over-arch everything we do, The Whitechapel Centre has its own unique way of delivering them. We have six values that differentiate us from other providers. We are:

Passionate - we have a strong belief in people and their potential.  However challenging a person’s circumstances, we will stick by and work with them to improve their situation.

Inclusive - we are an open, inclusive organisation, working with the most excluded people in our community.  We challenge discrimination in order to achieve fair access and inclusion for all.

Dedicated – We will find the best way to achieve the best possible results for people.

Community-driven - we are an independent charity which works to improve the health and social wellbeing of the communities we serve and to make a positive impact through the employment and volunteering opportunities we provide.

Innovative - we are imaginative and forward thinking, challenging the conventional and looking for creative ways to achieve our goals.

Enabling – we promote active participation and feedback and enable people to make informed choices and to identify their own solutions whenever possible.
