Grove Court is a 24-hour, 12-bed registered Residential Care Home supporting male and female residents with severe mental illness.
How you will make a difference as a Registered Manager:
- Personalised Service Delivery: Ensure safe, personalised services through assessment, person-centred planning, and regular outcome-focused reviews.
- Support Planning: Develop aspirational support plans for residents.
- Safety Systems: Implement safe systems of work, including personal safety and lone working, complying with Rethink Mental Illness’ safety policies.
- Information Quality: Improve the quality of information recorded on Rethink Information System (RIS) and support staff in its use.
- Incident Management: Manage incidents and accidents effectively, adhering to policies and regulatory notifications.
- Complaints Management: Enhance service user experience by developing an effective complaints management culture.
- Safeguarding Lead: Lead safeguarding practices, ensuring effective reporting and professional relationships with the safeguarding team.
- Staff Management: Provide effective line management, handling conduct, performance, and attendance issues.
- Talent Recruitment: Recruit top talent, managing the recruitment process in line with policies and Equality legislation.
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualifications: Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health/social care setting.
- Knowledge: Understanding of legal responsibilities and standards for CQC registered services, including person-centred service delivery.
- Supervision and Leadership: Experience in providing effective supervision, leadership, and management of staff.
- Direct Experience: Experience working directly with people with severe mental illness.
- Agency Work: Experience working within statutory agencies.

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a fantastic Health Charity to recruit a Philanthropy Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Director of Fundraising, this role will manage a team of three to oversee income across Major Donors and Trusts & Foundations income streams.
The Philanthropy Manager is a crucial role in the Fundraising team, responsible for proactively leading the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing Major Donors, Trusts, and statutory bodies, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth. Key duties include:

This role will deliver tailored, one to one support and case work to support and resolve both immediate, crisis situations experienced by people and on a longer-term basis in the community. In the main people we support are Irish or of Irish descent including the Traveller Community. However, our services are open to all.
Additionally, part of the role will include working across the project team and wider role of ICCM in early intervention and prevention. Informing and supporting community-based advocacy, awareness, and public campaigns to inform and increase knowledge and education of the community on how to access help, and the availability of support which is open to people as needs develop. Thus, increasing the wider public and social value of ICCM and brining more service users in to receive one to one support when needed.
This will attract and support our community by making our services local, appropriate, and accessible to those who mainly do not access mainstream services. This will include advocacy and representative services in order for people to secure welfare benefits, enabling people to access the financial benefits they are entitled to.
This will support people experiencing mental and physical health issues, substance misuse, facing legal issues, those who require debt management, threatened with eviction, domestic abuse, and bereavement. This will be done mainly on an outreach basis across Manchester, supporting people in their own homes, in care homes, hospital and where they are resettled to their home environment.
The overall aim of the service is to improve quality of life, access to appropriate support services and improved health and wellbeing outcomes by acting as an advocate and to negotiate with other agencies, where necessary, on our client’s behalf.
Key Responsibilities:
- To make contact with members of the Irish and Traveller communities across Manchester.
- To provide Advocacy and Support via outreach, accompanying to appointments, advocacy to other agencies to address presenting needs who are vulnerable and ‘at risk’ through age, poor physical or mental health, homelessness, risk of homelessness, drug and alcohol use, offending, abuse, and social and cultural isolation.
- Undertake an initial assessment of service users’ needs, presenting issues and risks and to develop a care plan working alongside other statutory and voluntary agencies.
- To offer comprehensive information, advocacy, advice and support services to our community to meet individual needs and achieve positive outcomes.
- Make referrals to statutory and community and voluntary organisations working in partnership to achieve the best level of care and support.
- Develop care plans in order to improve the health of our communities, working with service users and relevant agencies
- To attend and participate in meetings and forums highlighting community issues, cultural needs and experiences.

Mind in Haringey are seeking a Community Care Coordinator for some of our most vulnerable users. The role which has been developed to further support our service users alongside our statutory partners at North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department, to increase their wellbeing, confidence, social integration, and independence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with service users during periods of crisis and support them through their journey of recovery to ensure that they are receiving the support most beneficial to them. About the role:
As the Team Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our frontline staff, ensuring the highest standards of trauma-informed, recovery-focused care for our residents. This position requires a balance of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day guidance and strategic support, maintaining SHP’s standards and fulfilling contractual requirements.
In this role, you’ll deputise for the Service Manager when needed, sharing responsibility for delivering compassionate, effective support that empowers women on their journey to recovery. A high-level understanding of the issues faced by women affected with homelessness, substance misuse, and the effects of complex trauma—including violence against women and girls (VAWG)—is essential. You will engage with clients across the spectrum of recovery, from those in pre-contemplation stages to those who are committed to positive change.
This role requires a strong commitment to making a meaningful impact, combining strategic oversight with empathetic, hands-on leadership to drive effective service delivery.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of complex issues effecting women including DV, VAWG, Mental Health, Women’s Health and Substance Misuse.
- Experience of, or a strong awareness and understanding of staff and service management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop the skills of both staff and service users, and to motivate and manage a quality service committed to achieving excellence.
- Understanding of Housing Management and compliance, especially in relation to License Agreements, Excluded License Agreements and Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
- Strong networking skills, and proven ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including those with statutory services, in order to establish or improve services to service users.
- The ability to respond calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively, safely and creatively to complex and challenging situations. Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to the provision of service to people presenting with a varied range of needs, including substance use, mental health, dual-diagnosis, personality disorders, physical disability and learning difficulties.

Liverpool Transition, Preparation and Moving-On Service – Children's Residential Home
Barnardo's Transition, Preparation and Moving-On Service is looking for a residential worker for its 4 bed Children's home.
This is a service commissioned by Liverpool City Council to deliver Children's residential support in line with statutory requirements utilising therapeutic approaches. The service consists of one 4 bed Children's home.
The service aims to provide a nurturing environment within our high-quality home, which will meet the needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, rejection, and whose basic needs have not been met.
The home offers our young people a safe space to enjoy themselves with activities such as karaoke, pamper, movie and games nights. Our young people are also encouraged to enjoy activities such as horse riding, going the cinema, indoor adventure parks, museums, theatre shows, youth clubs, fairs/theme parks i.e. Alton Towers, Blackpool and Southport.
We always ensure that our young people have the opportunity to enjoy at least one holiday/short break.
We support our young people to learn skills such as cooking meals and baking.
In line with Barnardo's EDI awareness and ethos, we take part in cultural theme nights once a month.
On top of that, Saturday is takeaway night, so you even get a night off from cooking!
As a Transition home, our role is to support the young people in our care to either return back to their own families, move onto foster care, or move into semi-independence. The support we provide is vital in supporting our young people in their next chapter. You would play a huge part in this exciting role in changing the lives of our young people.
The home provides a truly therapeutically focussed environment that can meet the needs of young people who require support to manage their behaviours safely, develop their resilience and prepare them for the demands of future life with their own families or in other settings.
As a Residential Worker you will support the young people on a rota basis, covering the following:
- 3 on 4 off pattern across the year, with rotas completed at least one month in advance.
- Sleep ins - approximately 2 per month with an additional payment of approximately £68/sleep,
- Waking nights (approximately 2 per month)
- Opportunities to complete additional hours at an enhanced rate of pay.
- Some weekend working, on a rota basis
- Some bank holiday working – enhanced rates of pay for bank holiday working.
Designated days off are given following sleep ins and waking nights to promote wellbeing and recovery.
Your role as a Residential Worker:
You will engage with and support young people in all aspects of their lives, attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, whilst safeguarding each young person at all times.
You will support the rest of the team around the young people, acting in the capacity of a corporate parent. You will support young people to enhance their social opportunities by accessing hobbies & activities in the home and in the community. This could include supporting young people to access meals out/cinema/theatre/activity clubs etc and engage with fun nights in e.g. Movie/pamper/ games nights etc.
If you have experience of supporting young people who have experienced trauma, are passionate about the children in your care and can show understanding, tenacity, consistency of care and the ability to engage with a wide range of young people – this may be the opportunity for you!

Role summary
This role is to effectively engage with a diverse range of VCSE organisations and stakeholders in Cornwall through meetings, workshops, consultations, surveys, events, conferences etc. To strengthen our alliance-based model of engagement by expanding existing alliances and creating new ones.To bring the voice of the sector into the new integrated care area forums and community area partnerships. To bring together the VCSE sector around pertinent issues, so they can meet the needs of their beneficiaries and achieve their organisational outcomes.
Key Duties
- Manage and develop a range of thematic and place-based alliances, bringing together VCSE organisations to collaborate on shared community themes and challenges.
- Actively engage with integrated care areas, community area partnerships, and other strategic forums to amplify the voice of the VCSE sector. Ensure this engagement translates into actionable outcomes by integrating their insights into the planning, design, and execution of community-based services. For example, facilitate focus groups or workshops that allow grassroots VCSE feedback to be directly included in policy discussions, ensuring their needs and perspectives are supported.
- Be the first point of contact for fostering collaboration between the VCSE sector and public/private stakeholders, maximizing opportunities to collaborate and achieve shared priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with VCSE organisations and statutory partners, ensuring their representation and involvement in key strategic initiatives.
- Develop and facilitate alliances and working groups, nurturing new alliances as needed to strengthen the VCSE network and support.
- Lead the recruitment and election process for alliance chairs when necessary, ensuring a democratic approach.
- Use various engagement methods; including site visits, workshops, and consultation events. To foster direct communication and build the profile of VCSE organisations.
- Support VCSE organisations in understanding and navigating relevant policies, legislation, and best practices, equipping them with evidence-based strategies for effective service delivery.
- Provide timely, practical advice and support to grassroots and established VCSE organisations, enabling them to remain adaptable, agile, and responsive to evolving community needs.
- Facilitate creative discussions, undertake research, and deliver consultation events to promote collaborative problem-solving and community co-design.
- Represent VSF and the VCSE sector at senior leadership and thematic meetings, contributing to policy development and influencing service design and commissioning.
- Identify and communicate funding opportunities, supporting the preparation of collaborative funding applications and strategic initiatives that benefit VCSE organisations.
- Build internal and external connections to facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices, and resource sharing across the VCSE sector.

About the role

On 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. At the same time, Aquarius became a subsidiary of Humankind, with no impact to terms and conditions of employment. In October 2024, Humankind was renamed Waythrough to reflect the new organisation, of which Aquarius will remain a subsidiary.
