Context and Background
The NSPCC is the leading charity focused on preventing child cruelty in the UK. We believe that together, we can stop child abuse and neglect. The NSPCC’s sector- leading press office plays a big part in this work by raising awareness of the organisation’s work to influence politicians, fundraise and provide services for children and their families. Week-in-week-out the busy team provides journalists with powerful proactive stories and quick-off-the-mark reaction that generates consistently high levels of media coverage across local, nations, national, consumer and specialist print, broadcast and online outlets.
This role is to be part of the National Media Team, working closely with a Media Manager, another Senior Media Officer and a Press Office Assistant to promote the NSPCC’s major policy-change campaigns and priorities, predominantly via national print, broadcast and digital media. Key areas of focus will include child protection and children’s social care, child sexual abuse, domestic abuse, online safety, early years, education and children’s experience of the justice system. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a network of contacts within the national media, using these relationships to ensure the NSPCC is at the forefront of coverage related to child abuse and neglect. They must be ready to respond quickly to opportunities to comment on stories while building the evidence base for the next big proactive story.
Job purpose

To lead with the other Senior Media Officer on the media delivery of the charities major public influencing campaigns and priorities

To deal with relevant media enquiries as they come into the Press Office

To develop and produce press releases, quotes, articles, Op Eds and
operational notes to achieve national press coverage

To deliver regular national media coverage for the charity using a variety of skills and tactics

Person specification

Journalism experience and/or significant experience of working in a complex press office or equivalent in the corporate, charitable or political sector with a full understanding of all media disciplines and the external media environment.

The postholder will provide advice, guidance and coaching to parents and carers of children aged 11+ years to help them to develop new awareness and skills to enhance their support to their children through a combination of group-work and one-to-one sessions. The capital campaign is a global effort to raise €100 million by 2028, funding the construction of a new ship and the environmental campaigns it will support. For 2025, the UK’s target is to secure £4 million, split equally between the ship’s construction and supporting key environmental campaigns.
As a strategic leader, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Greenpeace UK and internationally, playing a key role in driving organisational fundraising performance, cultural initiatives, and Greenpeace’s overall strategic direction.
As Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will:

ESSENTIAL:
- Extensive experience of establishing and sustaining relationships with senior-level external stakeholders and/or funders.

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Family Finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high-quality family finding service for the London Borough of Hillingdon, for children with a plan for adoption.
The post holder will be one of two professionals responsible for family finding for children with a care plan of adoption within the local area.
The post holder will be part of a small and very supportive team to develop practise and skills in this area. The post holder will also be able to have access resources and services within Hillingdon to support this role and be part of a bigger network of support from colleagues from across the RAA. This role will function as 6 month fixed contract with the possibility of an extension to offer continuity to the children we are family finding for.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join our team covering Fife and the surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home, hospital, care homes or other suitable community venues and be home based for administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.

To provide trauma informed and person-centered information, advice, and guidance to a variety of caller types, including people in and out of exploitation, professionals, members of the public, and businesses. We are actively looking to engage a Senior Project Finance and Risk Advisor (SPFRA) to join the Programme Finance Team here in the UK. This opportunity is offered on a two year fixed-term contract which is renewable.
About the role
The SPFRA, reports to the Head of Programme Finance and focuses in supporting and advising on project financial management and donor compliance to key stakeholders across the organisation. As a specialist role the post-holder has detailed understanding of the rules and regulations of an increasingly large portfolio of donors including USAID, the EC, FCDO and SCB[1] and a wide range of other smaller-scale funders.
This role is integral in supporting and advising teams and stakeholders throughout key stages of Sightsavers’ project life-cycles through to close-out and exit. The post-holder ensures project financial planning, monitoring and reporting are delivered on time and to a very high standard. The role also provides support to Sightsavers’ overall project financial management processes through capacity building and key projects/ objectives.

- Project cycle; financial management support and advice, project design and proposal development, project start-up and inception, implementation and close-out/ exit.
