About this exciting opportunity
Our successful candidate will complete an Initial Needs Assessment, using a strength-based approach within agreed contractual timeframes, before dynamically assessing need and risk, alerting to changes that could indicate change in risk or serious harm, including personal safety and safeguarding. You will be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of an effective accommodation plan which is solution focused and practical, and to advise and support Service Users to achieve outcomes informed by your specialist housing knowledge and comprehensive understanding of accommodation and local service provision.
We will rely on you to engage with and motivate challenging service users from a diverse range of backgrounds, often with multiple and complex needs, while also maintaining and building new relationships with both social and private housing providers to improve sustainable housing outcomes for our service users, and promoting effective working relationships within the criminal justice sector. Monitoring progress and recording on digital systems, plus coordinating and facilitating interactive group work sessions, are also key duties.
What we are looking for
- Experience of working as part of a high-performing team
- Experience of using digital technology and providing evidence for external audit purposes
- Demonstrable knowledge of housing and an understanding of the main issues affecting homelessness and rehabilitation of offenders
- A detailed understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act
- An understanding of how staff with lived experience can provide additional value
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by our client group
- Sound knowledge of the UK criminal justice system
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred with access to a vehicle for work

About the role:
This is an exciting role that requires a mixture of skills in relation to learning and development. The role is varied and will involve delivery, design and management of learning to support staff and volunteers within Victim Support. As the face of learning and development within the organisation you will build positive relationships, promote learning and act in an advisory capacity when it comes to development.
You will;
- Deliver and design face to face and virtual training for our volunteers, staff and partners. There is an expectation that you will deliver 4 days per week, with 1 days administration work and time allocated for design projects.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts and senior staff within Victim Support on learning projects within the organisation.
- Create accurate delegate reports and take appropriate action to address any identified under-performance.
- Deliver high quality presentations and learning interventions with a focus on evaluation and continuous improvement.
- It is essential to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing and conflicting demands in an organised and effective manner.
- The post is for 37.5 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is necessary.
- This role will work from home but will have moderate travel nationally across the organisation.

The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a Digital Enabler. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. The Digital Enabler will facilitate the effective participation by all members in the life of the Church in the North West England District by supporting stakeholders at all levels to facilitate digital evangelism and building and maintaining the District’s online presence.

NWED came to being in September 2024 following the joining together of a number of Methodist Districts. We cover the geographical area of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and parts of Cheshire and Derbyshire. Within this are inner city, industrial, post-industrial, suburban, and rural areas – no two towns are the same.
The District embraces a rich breadth and variety of theological perspectives and worship styles. A range of fresh expressions of Church (messy church, café church, arts-based projects, digital spaces etc.) are nurtured without neglecting the other, more traditional, expressions and all are equally valued.
We exist primarily to advance the mission of the Methodist Church in our District by supporting churches and circuits (a circuit is a group of churches served by a team, including one or more ministers). About the role
We’re looking for an Insight Analyst with good SQL skills and great proactivity to join our Strategic Insights team. The primary focus of this role is to support Young Lives vs Cancer to use relevant, timely and accurate information to support decision making and drive innovation and impact. Working as part of the Strategic Insight team, this may include:
- Developing insight and learning with the aim of improving our impact.
- Working with colleagues within the Income & Engagement directorate to analyse data on supporters, and develop insight to ensure sustainable income.
- Working on Services data to understand our reach and impact.
- Contributing to continual learning – so we understand what is working—and what is not—for children, young people and their families across the system.
- Supporting Young Lives Vs Cancer to develop and use insight which enables us to achieve our strategy, The Time is Now, and to move towards our North Star vision.
The Insight Analyst will work with stakeholders to define the key questions to be answered that will support effective decision making and continuous improvement. What will I be doing?

We are looking for two Complex Needs Practitioners to join our team in Aylesbury. The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
All Complex Needs Practitioners work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. A core part of the role will be working with people and their families to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to knife crime, 5 step family work, exploitation, physical and emotional health as well as substance misuse.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

Aquarius was a subsidiary of Richmond Fellowship, with both organisations being part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. On 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. The Justice First Fellowship (JFF) is a scheme offering two-year, fully-funded legal training positions and wider development opportunities for the next generation of social justice lawyers. Established by the Legal Education Foundation, since 2014 JFF has supported 125 Fellows to qualify, with the vast majority still working in social justice law. As a JFF Fellow at Shelter, you will complete your legal training with us and the cost of undertaking any mandatory training to qualify will be covered as well. You will also develop a project in collaboration with Shelter and benefit from professional development and wider skills training via JFF alongside wellbeing support. And you will become part of the JFF network, a movement of lawyers using the law for social justice.
About the role
You will be based in our Birmingham Hub, working under the housing and public law legal aid contracts as well as having the opportunity to support Shelter’s test cases and interventions.
The training will give you the opportunity to develop and apply the skills you will need as a qualified solicitor. These include advocacy and oral presentation, case and transaction management, client care and practice support, communication, dispute resolution, drafting, interviewing and advising, legal research and negotiation.
Your role will support the solicitors within Birmingham hub to play a key part in tackling housing injustice and unfair housing practices. You will develop your skills through a mixture of completing work unsupervised, assisting others and observing experienced practitioners.
You will work with colleagues in the Birmingham hub to ensure people in our communities are aware of their rights, know how to enforce them and represent people who need specialist legal advice.
About You
You will need to have passed the Legal Practice Course or have an undergraduate degree and passed SQE part 1 and be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and the technical requirements needed for the role. You will be able to reason critically and demonstrate an intellectual aptitude. If you have previous experience of housing advice, litigation and/or legal aid this would be an advantage but it is not essential.
