DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
You will be required to identify opportunities to develop and grow DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area with the aim of supporting the organisation to ensure that as many people as need it have access to DFN Project SEARCH programmes.
In addition, you will be required to develop strategies to ensure that the operational programmes in your area are achieving at least the average outcomes expected for young people in our programmes and so you must be committed to continuous improvement.
You will be specifically required to develop strong partnerships and train and support colleagues within your area. You may also be required to support colleagues promoting DFN Project SEARCH in other areas, further European projects as required and contribute to the development of relevant UK focussed materials.
As a Programme Specialist you will be expected to:
- Demonstrate effective project planning and preparation so that each project delivers achieves the highest quality programme possible and outstanding employment outcomes for the interns.
- Establish effective working relationships with schools, colleges, local authorities, employers and the project professional staff to promote the building of excellent, high quality partnerships at each site to ensure the effective running of programmes and promote sustainability in a volatile environment.
- Take an active part in decision making, planning and audit processes of each project
- Ensure that you implement DFN Project SEARCH policy and have a clear understanding of required quality standards and criteria which constitute effective teaching and learning

In Memory and Legacy Fundraiser

Position: In Memory and Legacy Fundraiser
Location: Cambridge / Hybrid (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, you will take the lead in delivering our in memory giving programme. You’ll be the first point of contact for supporters giving in memory of a loved one and will also support the development of our legacy fundraising programme.
You’ll manage and deliver campaigns that inspire, comfort, and engage supporters, with a compassionate, respectful approach. From running special events like the annual ‘Walk to Remember’ and ‘Candles at Christmas’ service, to stewarding Tribute Fund supporters and working with funeral directors and solicitors, your work will ensure a meaningful and memorable supporter experience.
This role offers plenty of room to make a genuine impact as part of our new five-year strategy – including the launch of major fundraising campaigns for a new cancer hospital and a new children’s hospital.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an excellent communicator with a warm, thoughtful approach and strong organisational skills. You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a supportive team. You should have experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and a real empathy for people going through difficult times.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience in managing multiple tasks to deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong IT and numeracy skills (Microsoft Office)
- Previous experience in a similar fundraising or supporter care role
- Ability to build supportive, long-term relationships with donors
- Positive, empathetic, and motivated personality
Desirable:
- Experience using Donorfy or other CRM systems
- Creative flair and campaign ideation
- Passion for healthcare causes or experience in a hospital charity
- Driving licence and access to a car

Key responsibilities:
Income Generation
- Drive online income generation through effective use of digital fundraising platforms, social media, and supporter journeys.
- Optimise and manage digital giving platforms, such as Funraisin, to increase donations and supporter engagement.
- Expand and enhance peer-to-peer fundraising, ensuring fundraisers have the tools and motivation to maximise income.
Digital & Social Media
- Increase digital reach and visibility, making sure fundraising messages are seen and acted upon.
- Leverage social media fundraising tools, such as Elovate (CommittedGiving), to improve donor retention and engagement.
- Use AI-powered tools to streamline prospect research, automate content personalisation, and optimise donor engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies to convert social media and website visitors into long-term donors.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and digital tools to e-volunteers and fundraising champions, enabling them to spread AvMA’s fundraising messages and attract donations.
- Analyse and report on digital fundraising performance, using insights to refine strategy and improve return on investment.
- Contribute to digital income diversification, exploring new revenue-generating opportunities such as online retail or supporter-driven fundraising products (e-commerce experience desirable).

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trusts and Philanthropy Officer to join our small, ambitious fundraising team. IPSEA has a proven track record of successfully securing grants, and this is a new role designed to help strengthen and grow IPSEA’s income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. You will be responsible for researching new funding opportunities, preparing and submitting tailored applications and reports, and managing relationships with existing funders through thoughtful and timely stewardship. You will also support the early development of strategies in major gifts and wider philanthropy.
This role is an opportunity to play a key role in our future fundraising strategy and help secure long-term financial sustainability for our services.
You will work remotely, with occasional travel required for essential meetings approximately 4-5 times per year.
