About Us

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity established in 2017, managing over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, historic buildings, and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, and more.

We also manage other important public spaces such as Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens, making these iconic green spaces some of the most visited attractions in the UK, with 77 million visits annually.

We are now looking for a Construction Project Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee a range of refurbishment and new build projects across all the parks we manage.

From initial design through to completion, you will work across all areas of a project, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

You will manage multi-disciplinary external teams, including planning consultants, engineers, and building contractors, to complete projects that align with our strategic goals.

Additionally, you will:

  • Develop project documentation, including mandates, execution plans, and business cases
  • Manage projects through all RIBA stages (0–7), from concept to handover and evaluation
  • Oversee planning applications and stakeholder consultations
  • Ensure quality assurance, risk management, and financial tracking for all projects
  • Administer contracts, primarily using the NEC3/NEC4 suite

About You

To be considered as a Construction Project Manager, you will need:

  • Management experience in construction project management or an estates environment, working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of managing project delivery through RIBA stages 0–7
  • Experience of planning applications and stakeholder consultations
  • PRINCE2 Foundation qualification (or equivalent) or five years' minimum post-qualification experience in project management
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and contract administration, including NEC3/NEC4
  • A proven ability to deliver projects to scope, time, and budget
  • Excellent organisational and team-working skills
