This is a unique opportunity to project manage the delivery of Cancer Research UK's fundraising campaigns which raises approximately £50 million for our life saving research. You will be responsible for an innovative and sector leading portfolio of activities, working with teams across the organisation from Marketing and Technology to Legal and Supporter Services. You will have autonomy to change and improve existing ways of working, with the aim of supporting our mission of beating cancer sooner.
We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in project managing the delivery of products, public events, or campaigns and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
What will I be doing?
Leading multi-disciplinary teams (including social media, public relations, supporter services, legal, fulfilment and procurement) to deliver specific projects within the Fundraising Campaigns portfolio, managing requirements, plans, risks, and issues
Planning and leading project meetings and workshops making sure minutes, agendas and pre-reads are produced as required
Implementing operational and technical solutions to enable campaign delivery
Constructively challenging teams to encourage continuous process innovation and improvement
Building excellent working relationships with internal teams and external partners and suppliers.
What skills are we looking for?
Experience of managing complex projects involving multiple partners / suppliers
Formal experience of best practice project management principles (preferably in a Programme environment) & ideally a formal qualification in project or programme management
Experience/knowledge of financial controls and budget management
Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively chair or manage a meeting to deliver the required outcome within the time allocated
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - a skilled stakeholder manager who can influence and negotiate effectively within a matrix environment and can explain / present complex information effectively
Comfortable with ambiguity
A keen understanding of technical issues and constraints but able to work and communicate with both technical and non-technical people

Age UK has a new and unique opportunity for a Volunteer Systems Manager to join our Volunteering team!
Age UK has recently started a long journey to roll out and evolve our new volunteer system. Which includes automation of processes, integrated vetting and learning functions and so much more- the dynamic management and development of this system requires this role to take the platform forward.
While not a highly technical role, the successful candidate will take ownership of the new volunteer system day-to-day operation. They will understand the needs and challenges of users and work closely with the Digital & Technology support teams to maximise the system's potential and support a great volunteer experience by ensuring quality content, efficient processes, user engagement and on-going development.
Initially, you will focus on the external roll-out of this system to local partner organisations. The Director of Programmes and Partnerships is responsible for ensuring The Diana Award delivers quality impactful programmes and develops strong strategic partnerships that harness young people's power and potential to change the world. This role is one of four Director-level positions within the organisation, forming the Senior Leadership Team alongside the CEO.
The Programmes Directorate currently comprises four teams: Anti-Bullying, Mentoring, Social Action, and Impact and Influence, with a staff count of 25 plus a pool of associate trainers. The Diana Award’s programme strategy (2021-2026) focuses on embedding evidence-driven, youth-led approaches across our programmes, enhancing our profile as a platform for youth-led social action, and increasing our influence on policies affecting young people.
The Director of Programmes and Partnerships will work collaboratively with other members of SLT and the CEO to drive forward the organisation’s strategy and plans as set out in The Diana Award’s five-year strategy, Future Forward, and play a vital role in shaping the new strategy.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Leadership
- Drive the organisation’s strategy and vision as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, taking key decisions in the best interest of the organisation.
