Here at Teenage Helpline, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. Our growing team of volunteers all contribute, significantly, to the impact that we have as a charity on our direct beneficiaries, regardless of the department that they work in of the level of time that they are able to commit. Our services primarily offer a peer-support network to young people right across the UK, allowing them to access a peer mentor who is of a similar age to them and somebody that they feel more comfortable speaking with.

About the role
As Marketing Director, you will report directly to the CEO and will sit on the Executive Team of the Charity, acting as a strategic leader to develop and execute our Marketing Strategy. You will lead a team of ambitious volunteers to promote awareness of our Charity and its activities through communications such as newsletters, and strategic partnership development. You will be at the heart of the Senior Leadership Team and will have real influence on the direction of our Charity and its success.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and execute our Marketing Strategy, taking into account our various channels in which we can use to generate awareness of our activities.
- Review our outreach and channels – leading on delivery of a suite of content and collateral that will enable us to promote our services across audiences. This includes but is not limited to schools newsletters, contributing to social content and development, posters and other in person collateral, presentations our team can use in face to face engagement, and delivery of our presence at events such as pride. It will also involve maintaining a forward plan of activity and content at least six months in advance including events where we can participate.
- Recruit, design, and lead a team of Marketing volunteers across various areas, ensuring that they have the right coaching and guidance to succeed. This involved ensuring that the structure of the Marketing team is remains appropriate as the Charity grows.
- Hold combines responsibility for all campaigns in conjunction with the head of communications, ensuring that they promote the Charity in the right way and ensuring a consistent approach.
- Own our brand management, ensuring consistent application of our Brand Standards across the Charity, both internally and externally.
- Partner with our Communications Director to ensure that a consistent approach is taken across the Marketing & Communications space. This role also requires strong working relationships with our Fundraising and Partnerships Directors as well.

We’re seeking a volunteer to take on the essential role of Graphic Designer, who will support our charity by creating eye-catching, vibrant, and uplifting designs that establish our brand identity and communicate our mission effectively.
As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in our transformative mission. Your role will involve:
- Creative Designer: Design a variety of materials including booklets, social media posts, roller banners, and motion graphics to promote our initiatives and events.
- Brand Builder: Develop visual content that aligns with our branding and enhances our public image.
- Storyteller: Create compelling graphics that tell our story and engage our community.
- Innovator: Bring fresh and innovative ideas to our visual communications, staying updated with the latest design trends.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Design Experience: You have experience in graphic design, including creating booklets, social media content, roller banners, and motion graphics.
- Creative Vision: You bring creativity and strategic insight to develop impactful visual content.
- Passionate Heart: You resonate with our values and are driven to make a difference in the lives of others.
