South West Community Chaplaincy (SWCC) aims to provide effective care and community support for people as they leave prison and re-integrate back into their local area, within the counties of Devon, Cornwall and western Somerset. This incudes mentoring, practical support and signposting to assist the integration of ex-prisoners into their communities, in collaboration with other professionals.
We are seeking a part-time Project Support Administrator (up to 15 hours per week). The post-holder will be based at our Exeter office, although there is some scope for partial homeworking, subject to agreement.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, with previous administrative experience and good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook etc.), including a sound grasp of data entry (Microsoft Azure, Teams). Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to be an effective communicator, conveying information efficiently in writing, face-to-face and by phone.
The post-holder will have a pastoral heart and concern for the wellbeing of people, will be in sympathy with the faith ethos and values of the charity, and be able to promote an inclusive environment where people of all faiths, and people of none, can work together for the transformation of lives and communities.

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Officer to join our Legacies team. This is the ideal role for someone looking to gain more experience in legacy fundraising, and for someone who wants to make a difference to our communities when time matters most.

You may have previous experience working in a fundraising environment, in relationship management/direct marketing or in a customer service related role.

As a support line Call Handler, you will be a key member of our dedicated team, providing emotional support and a safe environment for callers with a wide range of complex issues.
NAPAC offers full training and hands-on support for call handlers with every call they receive. You will use the knowledge and skills you’ve developed through our training to explore issues relating to childhood abuse and it how it effects adulthood and signpost callers to relevant resources and services that can provide more in-depth support. Calls are caller-led, and you will be there to empower each caller to take back control in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow confidentiality and safeguarding policies
- Provide appropriate signposting to external services in accordance to callers identified needs.
- Ensuring that key record keeping is maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements
- You will have the emotional resilience to be able to support individuals who may be severely distressed, experienced trauma, and people who may be at risk of harm.
- The ability to think on your feet to support callers who may call during panic attacks or flashbacks
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
- Providing email support to individuals.
- Being flexible in your approach to your work in line with changing and growing needs of the support service.
- To be Caller led and be able to keep your own personal boundaries whilst working in your own unique way.
Salary: £26,520 per annum, pro rata, plus pension and an employee benefits package.
Hours: 17.5 per week (0.5 FTE) to be worked flexibly across the week, in person. Remote and hybrid working is not available for this role.

I am excited to be working with an amazing LGBT+ support charity in search of an Executive Assistant to CEO. This is a full-time, London based hybrid role for 2 months. This is a pivotal role providing administrative and project support to the CEO, as well as supporting the Chair of the Board, Trustees, and Deputy CEO as needed.
Main duties:
Support the CEO in all aspects of their role to ensure their agenda, priorities and objectives are met including

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements of PETA, PETA France, PETA US, and PETA Science Consortium International e.V, the successful candidate will undertake the following:
- Independently research and interpret a variety of scientific, political, policy-driven, and other issues related to animal testing in order to further PETA’s goals
- Build networks and coordinate meetings with key policymakers and other stakeholders
- Write factsheets, white papers, reports, correspondence, and other literature
- Build relationships and maintain communication with key audiences, particularly decision-makers in the legislative and administrative arenas
- Lead meetings with parliamentarians, companies, and legislators and present at conferences
- Develop expertise in non-animal testing methods and draw upon the expertise of others
- Respond to correspondence regarding issues related to animal testing
- Conduct analyses of technical papers and legislation and translate scientific and legal terminology into lay terms for use in research projects

Qualifications:
- Degree in a related field – a master’s and/or PhD is preferred
- Experience working at a relevant organisation or institute, such as an animal protection organisation, the civil service, a regulatory agency, or a biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical, or medical device company, is desirable
- Demonstrable experience of the functioning of Parliament
- Familiarity with the use of animals in laboratories, associated legislation, and alternatives to animal testing

About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, innovative team player to join our Young People and Families Service in Northern Ireland. This role will be based in Northern Ireland, in our Belfast Office but will support service delivery across Northern Ireland and the UK.

You’ll also co-design an exciting programme of social events, youth voice opportunities, digital content and residential events. You will act as the bridge between young people, their families and professionals – especially in healthcare settings where you will play a unique role working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet a range of needs. You will support young people during the pivotal transition from paediatric to adult services, making sure it is a time of empowerment and growth.
About you

- Experience of working with the third sector, preferably within the fields of youth/community development work and/or health and social care – with a passion for improving the lives of young people.
- Understanding the importance of self-management and experience of delivering interventions to people living with long term conditions.

REDRESS is an international human rights organisation based in London and The Hague that pursues legal claims on behalf of survivors of torture in the UK and around the world to obtain justice and reparation for violations against their human rights. The Team
The Administrative Assistant will work within the operations team to support the smooth running of the London office including managing the office environment, managing suppliers, liaising with our IT support, and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently. This role will also support REDRESS’ projects with administrative tasks including support with the delivery of events and organising travel.
Position Profile
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Events support: Assist with delivering internal and external events, including booking flights, hotels, catering, venues, checking VISA requirements, organising interpretation, preparing logistics, drafting forms.
Projects support: Assist with project tasks and support the delivery of activities to strengthen our ‘Community of Practice’ (partner NGOs globally) which includes support with workshops, surveys, follow-up, and newsletters.
Office operations: Support the effective operation of the office, including liaising with our IT providers and supporting staff IT requests, maintaining office supplies, opening and closing the building, helping to keep the office tidy and welcoming, assisting with visitors, and preparing for meetings.
General Responsibilities
The position will contribute to the work of REDRESS as follows:
Human Resources: Assist with the delivery of human resources functions, including the recruitment process. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, fellows, and interns.
Financial operations: Support financial operations, including processing expenses claims and expenditure requests.
Managing enquiries: Deal with enquiries by phone, email, and post, and engage with colleagues to respond to them.
Health and Safety: Assist with health and safety assessments and any changes required as a result.
Wellbeing: Assist with the staff peer support group, wellbeing portal, and the social committee.
Database: Support to create and maintain our databases, including mailing lists.
Platforms: Support platforms including the website by uploading content and creating mini sites on Office365 platform.
Communications: Support the Communications team with social media when necessary.
Support to other departments: Provide general administrative assistance to staff, fellows, and interns.
The position is also expected to carry out such further duties as may reasonably be required from time to time by REDRESS.
Person Specification
This is an entry level position, and so we will consider candidates at the beginning of their career, with some relevant experience.
Essential Competencies
The successful candidate will need to have the following essential competencies:
· Educated to degree level and/or at least two years’ relevant experience.
· Relevant experience through internships, volunteer roles, work experience, educational work placements, or other practical experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Excellent organisational skills: multi-tasking, attention to detail, flexibility, time-management etc.
Desirable Competencies
A strong candidate will also have other desirable competencies:
· At least two years' relevant work experience, preferably in the non-profit sector or in an international environment.
· A qualification in administration.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of software, particularly Excel., and Microsoft Platform.
· Skills in a language other than English, in particular French, Arabic or Spanish.

Terms
Reporting. The position is part of the Operations team and will report to the Operations Manager.
Hours. This is a full-time position at 35 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may be required from time to time.
Location. The position is based at the REDRESS office in London.
Flexible Working. REDRESS is an “in-person” organisation and we value team work, but we have a flexible working policy which allows for working from home. This role is currently required to be in the office at least three days a week.
Salary. REDRESS has fixed salary scales, with annual cost of living increases, and the possibility of step increases with strong performance. This is an entry level assistant position, and the salary is £31,681 which is A1 on our salary structure.
Duration. The contract is for a fixed-term of 12 months, but is expected to be extended, subject to funding.
Start date. The position would start in January 2025.
Probation. There is a six-month probationary period.
Pension. REDRESS offers a pension contribution of 10% of salary.
Holiday. There are 25 days of holiday per year, in addition to UK public holidays. The office is also closed between Christmas and New Year.
Status. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor a UK immigration process for this role.
Interview process. We expect to do two rounds of interviews. We may ask candidates to complete a brief written test as part of the process but will provide information on that nearer the time.
· First round Interviews will take place on a rolling basis and will be on-line.
· Final round interview will take place on 27 November 2024 and will be in-person at our office in London.
